Free trial allowed reference checks for one person. It's super easy to use.
Basically, it sent the references a list of questions, then let me know when the references responded, and showed me the responses. I could do the exact same thing myself in the same time and less cost. I thought it would be more robust.

I took time for us to get uptake from the consultants, and we do not use XRef every time, but it is essential tool for us when we are refencing contractors, and high volume roles, not as relevant for our executive search business.
1. Saving consultants time (and hence us money) 2. Turnaround of references 3. Quality of references 4. Pricing model (not Saas)
1. Getting consultants to change the way they work, which was helped by XRef hiring a customer success manager 2. Not having the opportunity to business develop when reference checking

We have always been happy with the services of Xref. The ease of use, the automation and customisation are just a few of the many benefits of this platform.
I don't feel there is anything we're missing in the software and we are very happy with all the features. The only potential negative is that the product isn't the cheapest.

Makes interviewing and employing staff abit easier and safer
This software is great in the middle part of our employment process. In the first instance, we get to see how quickly our client responds to our requests. Their response is up to their referrees. The system is great at reminding our clients to respond or chase up their referees. The reports are easy to obtain The security of clients and referees using the same IP address is an added bonus
Cost?.... sitting on the fence....it is quite expensive but great information

Positive investment and one that has delivered great returns including more time back in my day.
The product is not only easy to use but functional.
We have had a few referees who have not enjoyed the online reference checking process but that's nothing to do with XRef but rather the users.
