Pros and cons

I like the ease of pestroutes it makes things very easy and streamlined. The integrated review system is great and lets us get the instant feedback we need.
It’s very good and positive. It’s simple, communications with our customers and techs simultaneously.
The best word I have for PestRoutes effect on our business is "streamlined. We are more efficient at the daily tasks which frees up time for the important work of networking to build our business.
Reporting numbers through pestroutes is horrific. Managing profiles for different areas messed up our numbers for the year, and now Pestroutes is calling us out on “fudging our numbers.
Customer service is awful. They charge alot for a single backup of your data.
Then I have to go back to techroutes to finish the service. I am very frustrated with this new app.

Wowed by Pest Routes

It's been amazing! CSR is the man and their development team are constantly coming up with new amazing features.

Pros

I have used both PestPac and ServSuite and this software is by far the easiest to teach and use at a local branch level. It's intuitive nature has extra features has already facilitated a significant drop in our A/R and an increase in customer satisfaction and retention.

Cons

The enterprise reporting could still be a little more robust. Their reporting in general is great on the individual branch level and it's very dynamic.

Pros

They key features I like most about this product is the ease of use, the migration process coming over was fairly easy with no major setbacks. The customer service is very prompt to address your problems or concerns.

Cons

I feel like the Sentricon portion of the software could really use a lot more work. The routing would be more helpful if it were based of actual driving directions. Not proximity.

Mediocre at best but likely poorly managed

Chronology of their poor management:1) Get locked out and no access to see my route on a working day with no previous warning.2) Call customer support and they tell me my payment info was outdated3) Offer new updated payment but they tell me I have to log in and update payment info myself, they don't take that over the phone. 4) No access to software to update payment info though5)Call again and Customer...

Pros

I signed up for the integration of Sentricon. I liked they offered that since I switched from Termite Liquid Treatments to a Baiting system. Outside of that, it did not offer me a better solution than my previous software in all aspects

Cons

The mobile app performs poorly. As a business operator, the app doesn't allow you to add a new customer, new service, subscription... etc. You have to log in into the desktop version in your mobile device which is not mobile friendly at all. All info looks tiny and difficult to navigate thru. New app has many bugs. Terrible when uploading info. Often times it crashes on android phones. Also customer info is terrible if something goes wrong outside "how I do this or that" Lastly, if you want out, they they weeks to give you your own cvs file with customer data. On top of it all, they duplicate info AND FIELD ROUTES IS KNOWN FOR MAKING DIFFICULT TO TRANSFER TO A NEW SOFTWARE.... DISGUSTING!

Pest Control Use

Overall - ServSuite is an essential part of our day to day operations and I cannot see our company changing software in the foreseeable future. Their customer service is prompt, dedicated, thorough and reliable. This is truly the best software for our industry, hands down!

Pros

What I love about ServSuite is that not only does it track all of the vital information we need for our clients, but it allows us to paint a picture of their history with us. From initial set up, to scheduling recurring services, invoicing, payment history, collections and everything in between ServSuite is a one stop shop for our industry. They are also excellent at letting you know when and what kind of updates are on the way!

Cons

When it crashes, our entire branch is affected, which sends our daily operations to a halt. The scheduler tends to crash and malfunction as well.

A+ - best software available for pest control industry - from sales to service

Pros

Easy to use, adding customers, subscriptions and scheduling has a nice flow. Customer service is quick, efficient and very pleasant to work with.

Cons

Havent come across anything that I dislike yet, probably the most difficult thing so far is there are so many features and options that it makes it difficult on the service side to apply this much info for customer in timely manner.

After Several Years of Use, We’re Switching

Pros

We’ve enjoyed managing all of our pest control customers using Pestroutes for years. They’ve been good at keeping things organized.

Cons

Reporting numbers through pestroutes is horrific. Managing profiles for different areas messed up our numbers for the year, and now Pestroutes is calling us out on “fudging our numbers.” Each of our managers has multiple profiles so they can sell in multiple markets, and many of our salesman have multiple seller profiles so they can sell in Utah as well as other places. But Pestroutes says we have one salesman for every profile, which screws up our sales averages for the year.

Functionality and online features are what our company needed.

Cons

We could have used a better set up with our services, contracts, etc. I do not feel like we use FieldRoutes at an optimal level. We need an explanation on features at a level that we can understand.

Good software that is constantly improving

It creates invoices, takes signatures, and shows products used.

Pros

IT team is easy to reach and can usually talk with the same couple of people within a team. Software does what we need and keeps compliance.

Cons

We need help utilizing the software. Scheduling, invoicing, seasonal reminders, etc. We are using this as a very basic means and it appears there are more functions that we are just not aware of how to use. Training online is a drawn out and is a quiz template which takes forever to pinpoint what you are wanting to learn.

What I like most about this software is the ease of inputting. There are so many different fields that allow you to have very specific customer information. This also allows you make very specific reports which are all customizable.

Cons

From time to time glitches happen in the software that cause mixups with customers which can become a huge issue.

The software is NOT good for a pest control company that offers multiple service types. The only situation I can see this software working for is a mosquito-only company because it offers one type of service on one schedule. We offer multiple pest service types on multiple service schedules and have used their "work around" of doing services as "line items" on the invoice of another service, but it...

The poor guy they assigned us to help us with the onboarding process was genuine and amazing overall.

Cons

Everything else. Terrible onboarding process and the salesman lied to me about multiple things the software could and would do or what their onboarding team would do to get us going.

Scheduling Game Changer

Field routes saves us time, money, and allows us to be better prepared for each day. With the ability to save extensive customer notes, no details are lost and we are able to provide high-quality services to our customers.

Pros

Like any big change for a small business, switching to Field Routes was a large undertaking for our team. However, once we had things in place, it has helped us grow and succeed in ways we didn't think were possible. Working in a rural area, it is extremely helpful to be able to view and schedule appointments in a map view. We have saved hundreds of dollars in fuel costs, and we have helped our technicians be more productive. Realtime views of the technicians day has helped us to better schedule for their capabilities. There are many excellent reports that have helped us track and monitor our growth which has been both encouraging and challenging.

Cons

According to our technicians there are a few lags with the app software. Often the technicians will find error codes and not be able to complete their work. While this is a frustration, Field Routes has always responded to our concern quickly.

Great Software

PestRoutes is great even with the billing issues. Once the billing is resolved it will easily be a 5 star software.

Pros

I like that many features that are "add ons" for other software is already included with PestRoutes at no additional charge.

Cons

Billing. The billing is not great for anything other than residential or one time jobs. I want each service to have a charge but then it automatically sends a bill when I want to send one bill at the end of the month. So then you can use the recurring bill option but it again will automatically send it out without you getting a chance to update it or add notes. Also, putting a charge in each individual...

Long time user First time caller....

Overall I love field routes and have talked up the company for the last 8 years as a tech, a service manager, a branch manager, and call center support manager. I have learned to work around the challenges FR can throw your way. I have become a expert and a valued source for running custom reports. The low level support staff is amazing I've only had 2 questionable experiences in 8 years with them. They are quick to respond to your initial question and have a fair amount of tools at their disposal. Tech routes is a great app and has become a powerful tool for techs allowing them diagram stops and what/where the issues are present. Sales routes does a good job at keeping salesmen from knocking existing customers saving time wasted hitting existing customers.

Pros

Scheduling optimization, Raw power in reporting and finding whatever it is you need from a reporting perspective. Most low level support agents are amazing to deal with.

Cons

Mapping out stops there is no true distance score and the miles shown are as the crow files causing huge issues with proper routing without having an extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas. its to easy to run the wrong report due to the advanced and complex reporting system (I do love the power but my owners, managers, and agents can all run what they think is the same report and return different information. ) Integration with vendors is difficult at best. there is little support or care with large projects that don't benefit FR directly. updates are sudden, with no information, and after the updates made you don't find anything out about it for days or longer if you don't touch the system daily.

Very happy with FieldRoutes!

Using the software has helped us to streamline our billing and scheduling processes, thereby saving us time and money. We have also been able to improve our customer communications through the software. Highly recommend FieldRoutes.

Pros

Most helpful/impactful features: Billing, Scheduling, Reporting Their customer support is phenomenal! Every time I find a glitch or have a question about functionality, the customer support team is right on it. And recently, they have started offering informative webinars dealing with how to use different features and functions of the software.

Cons

We have had problems using API to integrate the software with forms on our website because we don't use FieldRoutes' marketing platform.

Pros

Vast capabilities and generally ease of use. We have a great tech team referred to as, Team5. We are assigned Team5 and work with them whenever we have issues with the software, technical info needed or general questions where to find a report, etc. Team5 have excellent follow through and communication with us. Sometimes issues have to sent to programming and they are vigilant to get back with us along the way till resolution. They are friendly and helpful.

Cons

Since the software has a vast ability, we aren't always up to speed on what would help us the most. I just came across an issue and part of the correction was to run a report monthly. We could have saved quite a bit of money if we would have been aware to process this report monthly for a few years now. I am disappointed that we thought the one step we were processing was all we needed to do,...

I am very happy with it, I started using this program many years ago, early 2000, so about 20 years watching it grow and become a very competitive service.

Pros

very versatile, the learning curve is a bit tough but once you understand how it works it can be a real quality time and money saver. Reports are detailed and help with many aspects of management. scheduling is probably the best component. customer portal and card payments are seamless.

Cons

the mobile application and stability, we have had issues in the field with tablets and the software. support has been good on resolution

User Friendly Interface with Great Customer Service

Overall my experience with ServSuite has been great and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the pest control industry.

Pros

I've been using ServSuite for a little more than 2 years and it was my first experience with software designed specifically for pest control services. Because of the user friendly interface, I was able to learn how to navigate the system fairly quickly and what I couldn't find, customer service was right there to assist whether it was via email or phone. Whether I'm using the system to process the daily work, help a customer with a payment, or running reports for our company owner, ServSuite is a fast, secure, easy to use software for our business and I highly recommend it.

Cons

There are few cons to ServSuite, however, concerning the part of the program for drawing graphs on the wood infestation reports- it's limited in what it can do and I would rather use the Microsoft paint program and paste from there to the report. I also might would suggest a different formatting for the account private notes that includes "word wrap" so that if something is copied and pasted, it is all aligned correctly.

Way too expensive for what it is

Invoicing customers. But too long of a process at best 10min making a receipt for customers and had to pay for per email.

Pros

Routing part is ok. But too expensive for what it is.

Cons

1) $200 per month plus extra for anything phone, text, email. 2) too long to do an invoice for customers. NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL. 3) it was told that all products where imputed. But not so ( which was fine but) you have to go through everything and look up what you input in. Looks like there might be a 1000 applications of treatment so you have to hunt down which yours. With quickbooks which you do have input the product also anyway but not $200 a month nor email customers for free.

Over all worth it

I believe over all the database is great. I think it is something that is great for the ease of use and the reports are easy to find. I do like that the scheduling is easy and you have several different ways to schedule.

Pros

I like that it is user friendly and simple with most of the actions that need to be performed.

Cons

I do not like that it is difficult to remove a payment. Actually that you can not remove a payment if it is placed on the incorrected account by accident. The only way I know how to fix it is to just make the payment 0. I do not like that you can not get a list of customers for a technician. I would like to print out each techs customers with last date of service. I have called customer support and they have given me ways to do this but it always leaves out customers.

Wonderful!

Utilizing the service categories to create different categories for types of services that you'd like to see individual totals for. For example, a subcontracted service for insulation is a One Shot, in pest control terms, but having the ability to separate this category from the rest of the One Shots is very useful in finding completed sub jobs quickly, and ensuring paperwork is submitted correctly and on time.

Pros

This software is user friendly, and versatile.

Cons

There is no ability to edit manual payment entries that are not run through the payment processors, for example, the payment date. There are some customers that submit ACH payments directly to our checking account, if this is not noticed the same day to enter in PestRoutes, you cannot back date the payment entry in PestRoutes to have both dates match.

Best software available in pest right now.

Does what we need it to which is great because there have not been any real great options in the pest industry until this came along. Not perfect but not making it a need to design our own.

Pros

It’s fairly feature rich while still being simple. Ease of use doing sales via mobile and being paperless is great.

Cons

I wish it had better user controls to protect data etc from accidental user mistakes etc. Also wish we could be a bit more modern with contract and invoice and customer portal and all thing customer facing in the design department. But those are minor.

"I am a customer of fieldroutes for almost 5 years,the support necer work for me. for that reason, I decided to cancel my subscription, and since then, they have been ignoring me. Now they suddenly contact me and claim that I have to pay some cancellation fees. This is unfair, because the contract clearly states that “This agreement is for an initial 12-month period". I fulfilled that term long ago and there is no mention of any charges for terminating the service after that period.Do not sign anything, I think they are trying to trick you too."

Pest Routes advantages

The software has streamlined our service process and eliminates many of the redundancy in any office. Not to mention eliminating a lot of labor cost and printing.

Pros

I like that the software incorporates most all of the tasks we need in one product. routing, billing , sales and communication all in one system. The developers have been able to re tool some of the apects of the software to better serve our specific needs in our business.

Cons

What I liked least originally was that we found it to be geared specifically to one service. This would be pest control services. We on the other hand are built equally on termite and pest control so we had to find work around solutions. As stated on the pros however they have listened and created solutions to better serve customers built as we are.

it is a great scheduling and tracking tool, however our lack of knowledge on all the benefits that this software has and how to use them may push me to other software in the future.

Pros

Our field technicians find it very user friendly. great for scheduling routes.

Cons

Lack of training on daily use and additional features. This software is great for our company however as we are growing we are discovering other software needs that we are not sure pest routes offer.
