What is Streamline?

Streamline is a vacation rental software aimed at property managers, offering features including revenue management tools and services, responsive website creation, customized reporting, targeted email marketing, multiple distribution channel integrations, vendor payables, a point of sale (POS), and more. Streamline also includes separate modules and mobile apps for use by property owners, housekeeping/maintenance (Property Care app), and guests (Happy Stays app), controlling what information can be viewed or edited based on an individual’s role. Maximize bookings and increase revenue by sharing inventory with our StreamShare platform.

Key benefits of using Streamline

Streamline offers separate modules and mobile apps for owners, housekeeping/maintenance (Property Care app), and guests (Happy Stays app), controlling what information staff and property owners can view and make changes to.

Streamline includes a point of sale system (POS), enabling users to sell from their vacation rental offices, track their inventory, and integrate this into their maintenance records to be alerted when to purchase more necessities, such as lightbulbs.

Users can generate reports from templates within Streamline, or create their own custom reports, to track their company’s performance.

Custom documents and emails can be sent out automatically, triggered by owner actions, maintenance and housekeeping activity, as well as related to reservations, such as before check-in, after departure, or length of hold on a reservation.

Integrations with multiple listing sites and distribution channels enable users to promote their properties across many sites from one central interface.

Pros
It is pretty intuitive and ease to learn, reports are fairly good and the accounting is pretty helpful, housekeeping and maintenance are pretty good too.
I rarely wholeheartedly recommend a product but as an entrepreneur I both respect and have confidence they will continue to put clients first with a very robust, customizable product.
I like the integrations with third parties and the organization of the software in general. I really like that Streamline is very open to suggestions to improve their software from there users.
Cons
If they can't figure it out, they will submit a ticket and escalate the problem. Response time is normally within 24 hours unless an emergency.
This software is not your "out of a box" software, it is forever changing with Property Management trends so I'll never feel that I'm outgrowing this software.
Over the last 5 years, Stay Alfred has doubled every year, and we need software that can grow with us. Frustrated after 5 systems failed us, we turned to streamline.

Streamline VRS

They are forward thinking and collaborative - and listen to our needs. Customer service has, in the past, been a bit spotty - partially due to their rapid growth. For the past 8-12 months, customer service has been excellent.

Pros

After extensive research of all of the software platforms in the vacation rental industry, we selected StreamlineVRS as it gave us the most flexibility to publish our websites the way we wanted, and for the integration with all of the OTAs and channel distributors. We have 15 active installations, representing more than 8,000 properties across North America - and you can tell that the Streamline system was developed by people who truly know the vacation rental business.

Cons

Due to the complexity of our onboarding (8,000 properties and 100,000+ photographs), the onboarding process didn't go smoothly and was delayed - but once we were up and running, things work very well.

Sensational Streamline Software!

Streamline simplifies our process so we can run with a lean team. We save money on salary, can run the business from your phone if necessary and barely leaves a dent in our tech stack. It is great that it not only offers basic features but also integrates with companies that specialize and offer more bells and whistles. Streamline really does make it possible to have your cake and eat it too!

Pros

We shopped around as this was our second system and we determined you really do get what you pay for. Having everything you need in one package for a reasonable price was the thing we liked most. Secondly, having the Knowledge Base available for us to answer our own questions.

Cons

Streamline is so robust and really does more than we need, and gives us room to grow. We have previous experience with the software and took about 6 weeks to set-up.

Do not waste your time or money

Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone who has less than 50 employees. You will need an entire team to workout all of the bugs, submit tickets, test that the "fixes" they give actually work, and to complete their arduous University that doesn't remotely get you ready for launching.

Pros

I enjoyed the idea of the software, what you read online and how it's pitched to you. However, that is not how the software actually functions. If it actually did everything it's pitched as doing, it would be an invaluable software. However, that is not the case. I wish I actually had "Pros" to list but I honestly can't think of any. I wish I had seen more reviews like this before starting this path. I have no idea how it has so many five star reviews.

Cons

After their "three month" training university took us almost a year to finally complete, you'd think that launching the software, or "going live," as they put it would be seamless. Well, that is not the case. We are a full month into "being live" with the software and it's been nonstop issues. Issues that were not gone over during training. Issues that have answers but they don't tell you ahead...

Streamline review | JZ Vacation Rentals

Overall, I'm most happy with how robust the features are and the culture of the team. With endless possibilities and a culture that cares, responds to feedback, and prioritizes relationships, it's truly the leader in this space.

Pros

The top two features that separate Streamline in my opinion are "Streamshare" and "Special Blocking". Both of these features set you up for growth that you wouldn't know existed otherwise. Streamshare allows you to build your own OTA presence in other cities BEFORE entering into the city. Special blocking allows you to combine two condos into A, B, and C listing. A being left side, B as right side, and C listing as BOTH into one larger listing that has the ability to "special block" the group and vice versa.

Cons

My wish list would only be to have two way full integration with Breezeway. Breezeway works great, but cleanings integrate into Work Orders. Cleaning statuses don't connect. Aside from that, I'm quite happy and very happy with my decision 3 years ago.

Amazing, robust system

Pros

Amazing customer support and training. Most of the features you can think of are already implemented.

Cons

Accounting features are meant for experts. Would like to see a more friendly version. Would also like to see some more secure credit card processor options
