We opened our cat hospital over a year ago and Vetter has been an integral part of the practice right from the start. Vetter works seamlessly with our busy little clinic, and truly meets all our medical record keeping needs. But it is much more than that.. we use it to manage scheduling, inventory, lab reports, accounting reports, communications and reminders. I never have to worry about security breaches,...
Comprehensive, easy to use software that does it all for our clinic. No back-ups to worry about, and we use Mac computers so compatability isn't an issue.
dependent on a good internet connection, so it's sometimes slow on the weekend. Also sometimes kicks us off so we need to log on.

Accessibility from anywhere with an internet connection, I don't need to worry about security and backups, reports functions are excellent, tech support is fast, efficient, responsive and effective. This product suits my needs perfectly, at a reasonable price point. Very happy to recommend it!!
After using more complex software products like Cornerstone, Vetter is a breath of fresh air. Capable of everything I need it for, without getting lost in a forest of detail and complexity. LOVE the fact I have access to it from anywhere, as long as I have an internet connection. I can dictate medical records using my iPHONE, check reports, review files on the fly. Being a mobile service, it is just what I need.
As it is a web-based program, there are times few and far between that the system may go down temporarily.

Horrible. Didn't end up using for very long before we switched to a new program.
At first, it seemed extremely easy to use and in many ways it is simple.
Reporting and financial capabilities were inaccurate. Customer service was horrible.

The transition to Vetter Software was difficult at first, as we loved our previous software, but once you get the hang of it, it is very intuitive and easy to use. A necessary change to a cloud-based software in an increasingly paperless business. Cloud base software is easily accessible anywhere. Easy client communication. Tech support/customer service tries their best to keep up with bugs and enhancement requests. No more daily back-ups. Easy lab and xray integration. Printing from any computer. Can customize to clinic needs.
New features and updates seem to take priority over existing issues. Cash receipts (billing issue). Bugs here and there. Usage dependent on internet speed/access.

Ease of making things more efficient in the office.
We love how easy it is to use, and how much easier it makes things for us. I am the only employee at our office and it saves me so much time. It so easy to send records to clients ,boarding and grooming salons. We actually left Vetter for a while for a cheaper product and wow did I realize then how much it actually made my life easier. I love that it is cloud based , it helps me help clients even when out of the office. You will not find better customer service anywhere!!! They are always there when you need them.
There is nothing negative I have to say. We have been very happy to come back. We are happy to be using Vetter Software.

The portability is that a word? With an ipad I can go anywhere and get my work done. I am a small animal house call practice AND a new clinic nestled in between two medical schools. Our neighborhood also is developing a new tech start-up mecca of business and biomedical research. To say the least-my clients are tech savy and ALL of them are impressed by our ability to meet all of their needs on the ipad. My business mentor is impressed with this software and how it makes my affairs flow smoothly. This software is so easy for new employees: they pick up the ipad and they have it figured out in about 10 minutes. Within a day, they are teaching me.

Mobile use of a digitalized records system, it saves time in making invoices and medical records, we don't need to worry about making backups to save our records in the incidence of a fire or flood...
We like that we can access it on our smartphones whenever and wherever we need it. We also like that we can run reports off of it, to use for paying PST, looking at our business' growth, etc. I also LOVE the amazing customer support, I've been blown away by the incredible service so far.
I dislike that it is not integrated with google calendar. I dislike that it is interfaced with only American veterinary supply companies/labs and not the ones that we use in Canada, because we can't tap into many of vetter's best features.

Excellent and timely support. Always making improvements and adding features. Available anywhere. As a housecall vet this is extremely important. Never having to do a backup again - it's all taken care of by Vetter. Being able to access my records from anywhere and even print labels at the office from anywhere The online community is very helpful. Basically this has made my housecall practice easier and my records more complete and organized.
I am having a hard time coming up with a con. I don't use the appointment schedule much and would like to have my Google calendar sync with it if possible. That's about it.

Ability to use it on the road with my mobile practice.
I appreciate the ease of use and incredible support. The best part for me is that I can access the software when I'm on the road. I can write up my records when I finish the appointment so everything is fresh in my mind. Most "in-house" software allows this, but Vetter allows me to do it from anywhere in my practice area. Because it's active on my iPad at all times, if I get a phone call from a client, I can view all of the information immediately, again, no matter where I'm at. I also appreciate the attentive support. They can always solve the problem within a short period of time. Upgrades are often based on input from users, so they tend to be helpful. Great product.
No professional software is perfect, but for my practice, it applies 98% of the time. I would like an easier way to track mileage (have to use inventory to track it now). Would like to be able to design my own letters and be able to email them from within the program without a charge.

The screen saver was attractive. Otherwise the entire system is clumsy. Everything is added expense.
Sent postal reminders to deceased pets, did not stop when I asked. I refused to pay for these as it cost me clients. I finally asked for my data in a disc format,they held my data hostage for 10 mos. When received it was jumbled and incomplete. I changed to 2iNova and it took months to go through all my data when Vetter IT sent it piecemeal. I have informed them that I will NOT pay. I may bill Vetter for my IT to fix their incompetence. The IT which I used has been involved in 7 veterinary software changeovers and has NEVER seen such a clusterf.

Heads a shoulders above all else is the support I received from Vetter. Team was always there when I ran into trouble or did something stupid. They were always patient with me and supportive. The only reason I left was because I sold my practice and the buyer was using another program. Vetter was always willing to make software changes to fit my practice and had many billing options to fit my needs. It was also very easy moving around the program and getting up to speed.
I have a specialty practice and saw patients at three different locations and I decided to set up three different instances/locations of the software for each location and required logging on at each when seeing patients at that location. The advantage was separate tracking of inventory and income. The disadvantage was that I had to login into each location when searching for a patient since it was not possible to search for a patient in one location if I was logged in at another.

I've been using this for my mobile veterinary practice and gave been very pleased. I was able to start for free and clients as I grew. The group is very responsive to suggestions and customer support is beyond outstanding. I'm a bit of a computer idiot and have had my hand held with patience every (amazingly few) times that I have had issues.
Ease of use, good integration between information fields, support, willingness of company to listen to suggestions and implement them. Lots of ability to customize!
Not happy that it is 100 % cloud based because I travel in areas where reception can be poor. But this is not really the fault of vetter. I keep a backup paper file which increases my work load a bit.

We were about to open a new clinic, and were searching for practice management software, when we found the free trial offer from Vetter Software. At first we were hesitant about cloud software, but wow, I'm so glad we tried it. Vetter software is very reliable, easy to use and had all the features we needed for our practice. I was absolutely amazed at how good the customer service is, as they quickly responded all our emails, or calls with answers to all our questions. The software itself is user friendly, and teaching the rest of the staff how to use it was quick and easy. I really like that they are constantly updating it, and adding even more features. Overall the experience with Vetter Software has been amazing, and I would recommend it always.
Easy to use, works great and fantastic customer service. And being able to open patient records from our phones or tablets has been a plus for us.

Vetter Software is a perfect fit for our in-home hospice practice. The value and customer service they offer is unparalleled, and it has continued to be so "long after the sale." There is a bit of learning curve to using the software (what robust platform doesn't have this?), but the Vetter team has always been promptly there to help every step of the way. I do wish the software was a little more...

Using Vetter Software allowed me to focus more on medicine since the Vetter team takes care of operations . The customer care is excellent , always prompt and time conscious. This is the right veterinary software either you are a solo practitioner or multi doctor practice I honestly recommend Vetter to every DVM either opening a practice or being frustrated with their existing software. I like how it's easy to navigate and access. Not overwhelming to understand how to learn. If I ever have a problem, the team gets back to me quickly and with updates. They also update the program regularly based on user information and needs.
I can't think of anything in particular that I like least about this software. They have fixed most things I ever had issues with.

I love that the software is cloud based, so truly mobile and accessible anywhere. It has been both very helpful and exciting to see the software updated and improved over the years.
There are still several features I would really like to have added, such as a mobile app for phone numbers, maps, and emails and more complete Google integration.

Easy to log in to, can use anywhere, it is quite comprehensive in what it can do, creators take suggestions from users seriously
Not as user friendly on mobile devices. Occasionally I have to log in on my phone to check something when I do not have my laptop with me, and it can be done but definitely not the same ease as the regular site.

Can operate a small town hospital without a large capital expenditure and it is very user friendly with all the functionality required.
Price, easy to learn and use, cloud based, multiple ways to do access a function, easily edited, client support is very responsive, Vetter is consistantly improving their product
Client reminders are only able to send once automatically, you must manually resend additional reminders. Most of the reports do not make sense especially the profit margin report.

This software is really great. It is easy to use for all of our staff. The best part about it is that we can use it while being anywhere due to being mobile.
Due to the software being relatively new on the market, it still has some kinks to work out, but the support team is great!

Vetter has been an excellent solution, and the team is incredibly responsive to our needs and requests. Our pain points have only come up as we continue to open new hospitals and are beginning to have greater reporting and ERP needs.

As a 1st time owner of a mobile vet clinic, good costumer support, lower cost and high quality was more then I can ask for. Vetter support team have been very helpful in guiding me,following up on my questions. The features are constantly improving and after few weeks I feel much more comfortable using the program. I love the clean look and easy navigation and looking forward to grow with this software

I am a mobile practitioner and Vetter was very easy to hit the ground running. The CEO himself helped me get things set up and guided me through a tutorial. Their customer service is top notch and the pay as you grow feature is fantastic.
It can take a while for glitches to be rectified but the developers are in tune with the user community via their forums.

Vetter is easily accessible for me being on the road. The customer support team are incredible attentive and helpful with any and all questions, problems/issues are handled immediately. Highly recommended!

I like that this software changes and grows as problems or issues are seen. I get weekly updates on changes and tips to using the software. It seems like when I wish it would do something different an update has the change I want.
I like the easy to use tutorials for learning so as I get new staff they can just log on a and learn. Most things are very intuitive to use.
I do not like how the printing. It set up through google cloud print, which was difficult to set up.
