Lucidchart is a must have!!

Reviewed 2 months ago

I love Lucidchart, helps me stay so organized with all my process! Allows me to document processes and share with the team to properly divide roles by customers on our team, which has been huge!

Pros

I love the visibility lucid gives to your work! It allows you to always have a whiteboard that never has to be erased and can be kept and referenced long after meeting times end! I do not miss having tons of images on my phone of whiteboards at the end of meetings!

Cons

I truly love everything about Lucid, it fits exactly how my brain works!

Lucidchart Review

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

What I like about Lucidchart is that it has a simple and intuitive interface with drag-and-drop functionality, which makes creating and editing diagrams and charts simple. Furthermore, Lucidchart's real-time collaboration tools are ideal for remote teams that want to collaborate in real-time on the same project.

Cons

This software does not bother me. It's amazing that it offers so many templates and shapes; perhaps my only issue is when my workflow is slowed down because I frequently spend too much time searching for a specific shape or icon. So what I'm doing is creating a few custom templates with the shapes and icons I use the most to make things easier for myself.

My first preference is Lucidchart when I want to create a diagram to explain something to my team

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

I am the person at our team to explain new project opportunities and most of the team members prefer a systematic or diagrammatic explanation of details. Apart from the initial learning time on how to use this app, it will save tons of energy and money for sure. I used to draw using a pen and paper and Lucidchart changed everything to just the computer screen. I can collaborate with other members of my team to make updates on my diagram. I can clearly set permissions on where someone other than me can do an edit. Sharing the diagram online is just a matter of seconds.

Cons

I think Lucidchart must add more advanced templates for the basic users. The other main drawback is that there is no offline access to Lucidchart in any platforms. If there was a desktop client application that works offline as well and automatically updates all the edits when the PC connects to internet would have been much helpful.

Love the collaboration and flowcharting capabilities

Reviewed a year ago

Great overall experience does a lot of what I need done, I love the collaborative expertise and just overall easy way to get all my random chaotic thoughts down and organized into some sort of way.

Pros

I love the flowcharting and the sticky notes, it makes it easy to collaborate and track my work and get all my thoughts laid out clearly

Cons

I don't love the notes and how difficult it is to add a note to a shape, I end up just using the sticky notes and setting the sticky note close to the shape I'm trying to add notes about.

All in one tool for flowchart and other diagrams

Reviewed 3 years ago

I have been using Lucid chart from when I was an undergrad student. I had many subjects where we needed to create flowcharts and other type of diagrams such as user interaction diagrams, wireframes etc. Currently I use Lucid chart in my company to create organizational charts, data flow diagrams, architecture diagrams etc

Pros

Lucid Chart is a handy tool for students as well as working professionals to create wireframes, flowcharts, user diagrams and other type of diagrams. It has many 3rd party integrations which adds on to the value. The best feature is that they have a drag and drop feature. They also allow to import and export data. They also have a lot of templates to choose from.

Cons

The basic version of Lucid chart doesn't have that many templates to work on and it also does not support many of the collaboration features. There are some issues with the templates. The maps take a long time to load when we try to design large organizational charts.

Diagram, connect and improve your trade.

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

When you need to create a flowchart, an organization chart, a concept map, or even a mental map, try to do it with a platform totally dedicated to perform these functions, and one of the best, without a doubt, is Lucidchart. Surely, if you are reading this review, you have already heard of this work tool, because it has more than 15 million users who have this resource as a fundamental material for...

Cons

Few negative things stand out in this platform. It is perfectly designed for a specific audience and a clearly determined work. Anyone who does not understand the subject and begins to elaborate with Lucidchart, obviously will have several setbacks, however, that is why it can not be considered a negative aspect. The experience of working with this tool is 100% guaranteed.

One of the best Diagramming Tool!!

Reviewed 6 years ago

As a Business Analyst My day to day task Involves making Flowcharts, workflows and Lucid Charts has made it the easiest .

Pros

This tool has helped me make Diagraming and Visualization extremely Easy. You don't need anyone to actually guide you through using this tool, everything is extremely self-explanatory. It offers Numerous templates and varieties of Diagrams so it is a versatile tool . I use the online version of the tool, never really felt the need to Install the program . So, this can be used from any device having an Internet Connection.

Cons

The only issue that I face with Lucid Charts is Connectivity to Internet. It would have been better if I could locally install into my Laptop and use it without an Internet Connection.

Basic Software For Ease

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

This is a basic flowchart software that we used in lieu of Microsoft Visio. It was easy to use and to learn, with easy to follow help online for flowchart creation. The main benefit we found with this software was it's integration with Google Suites. With our company using Google Suites, this software easily integrates with other Google software and email.

Cons

It is a very basic software with limited features that we used, which was flowchart management. We used it for a short while as our company transitioned to Google-based software, however we've since gone back to Visio for it's better features and functionality.

Good for most needs

Reviewed 6 months ago

It's an excellent tool for presenting documents and tracking project requirements with outside contributors.

Pros

Over a year ago, I used only Lucidchart for wireframing, process flow diagramming, and creating site maps for new website projects. The process flow diagramming and site map features and templates work really well and meet my needs more than other tools I've tried.

Cons

There are better wireframing tools than this one, and I switched to using a different online service in the last six months. I am trying to remember if it has templates to kickstart a project, but I found the implementation of creating unique wireframes/screens to be cumbersome enough to look elsewhere.

Lucidchart rules

Reviewed 2 years ago

Used it a lot to make flowcharts for standard operating procedures. I don't use it as much since I've fleshed out all of them. But I still use it for new SOP's when needed

Pros

Super easy to use once you get the hang of it. Great visualization tool for multiple users. Sharing is awesome and makes flowcharts a breeze.

Cons

A little bit of a learning curve to get the hang of it. But, once you get used to it, it's great.

Lucidchart exceed my expectations and nowadays it is an indispensable tool in my daily life

Pros

The UI is very intuitive and allows me to create a lot of differents diagrams (UML, flowcharts, mental maps...)

Cons

It is required to have a connection to the internet, so maybe an offline version could be a good idea.

Lucidchart Review

As it has a lot of templates and shape files, is accessible from anywhere in the world, works well with other tools, and has strong security features. This makes it a useful platform for making diagrams with others and for professional use.

It has a lot of templates and shape files, is accessible from anywhere in the world, works well with other tools, and has strong security features. This makes it a useful platform for making diagrams with others and for professional use.

The overall experience with Lucid chart is tremendous as it makes the user in control of how they want to navigate, utilize the features and collaborate.

Pros

The various options and controls the application provides are the main likeable features of lucidchart. The collaboration that allows multiple users to see and edit simultaneously is a great feature.

Cons

Navigating through different libraries can be challenging for some users

Lucid for Web Design and Project Management

Reviewed 2 years ago

I use Lucid for several purposes: wireframes, flowcharts, diagrams, product roadmaps, calendars, and basically as a notebook. I find it very useful for all of these purposes.

Pros

Lucid is very intuitive and quick to use - documents can have multiple pages to group diagrams and version in an organized but spontaneous way.

Cons

I haven't really encountered anything that I would change or feel is lacking.

A picture is worth a thousand words: 5X my income

Reviewed 2 years ago

Many individuals tend to learn better through visual aids. In some cases, relying solely on tools such as PowerPoint presentations or spreadsheets may not effectively communicate the complete message. However, by organizing and presenting data in a manner that corresponds to the various components, groups, or products involved, everyone in the audience can feel engaged and gain a clear understanding of the information being conveyed.

Pros

The saying "A picture is worth a thousand words" has held true for me, as using visual aids has significantly increased my income and contributions to my organization. Previously, I had used PowerPoints for diagrams and process illustrations, but using Lucidchart has allowed me to tell stories more effectively and with greater ease. The positive reception from my audience has led to an improved reputation, and my use of Lucidchart has become somewhat synonymous with my personal brand. Although I still have room for growth, I am optimistic about the future.

Cons

My top request is for the web browser to include spell check in its text reader, which currently it lacks, despite the mobile app for iOS having it. It seems strange that the desktop version does not have this feature yet.

Intelligent drawing, modelling and diagramming with the illustrious web software - Lucidchart.

Reviewed a year ago

The overall experience with lucidchart was good. Its a nice web software and is extremely useful for users like programmers, project managers, managers and for others who want to create prototypes.

Pros

Features, collaboration tools, its editor, number of objects, the types of objects - these are few of the things where Lucidchart is good and great to use.

Cons

Slightly expensive when it comes to pricing. Also, with other free softwares like draw.io - I think either that the Lucidchart should reduce its pricing or provide more features and functionality to its premium users. For example - a regular premium user (Individual) gets access to all objects - where as a free user has only 60 objects. This can change over a period of time. As an example, if we provide more features to a normal free user - he might get tempted to use a premium price.

Customer support "empowers" users by not offering customer support.

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

The templates can be very helpful. The software itself is a little clunky but fairly easy to use.

Cons

The complete lack of customer support. So frustrating when you have an issue and have no options for help except scouring the help center for the answer. Ugh. Apparently, Lucidchart has been able to maintain the same number of support staff as they have scaled since they "empower" their users to solve the issues on their own. :(

I love my Lucidchart.

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Lucidchart is easy to learn and is an intuitive diagramming tool.It is cloud based and this has allowed me to be able to use Lucidchart for my user experience diagrams. It works with Google drive , allowing me to save my diagrams in the cloud for future use. The templates made available for flowcharts have come on very handy for me.

Cons

I will like to be able to share my diagrams with colleagues who aren't users of the Lucidchart tool. At the moment , I have to export my diagrams in pdf, jpeg, png or other non-editable formats.

Great online charts and diagram creating tool

Reviewed 5 years ago

I usually create diagrams for my reports using Lucidchart. They can be shared directly with my team members. Separate access rights can be assigned to each user. It even supports sharing the link with users. Very easy to create flow charts because it has a unique connection making system. I export the created diagrams in a transparent canvas and crop them to the required size when necessary. The digrams can be blend to the documents with these techniques.

Pros

This tool is an ideal tool to create flow charts, state machines, use case diagrams etc. Most of the time I use this tool to create flow charts for my algorithms. This diagrams can be directly exported to image formats and even into google slides slide show. Very easier to use drag and drop interface comes very handy to create quick diagrams. Another best thing is that it is directly compatible with google classroom project hance can be used with it directly. It supports importing images and clip arts to the drawing canvas, even the PNG images with the transparent background is supported by it. When saving we can save as different formats. I usually use png format with transparent background. It even supports the PDF format.

Cons

The pricing scheme is monthly payment system. It is a little bit problematic when this tool is needed during report creation or presentation creation. They should introduce another package in pay per use system. Apart from that, they have an educational package as well.

Whiteboard remotely

Reviewed 3 years ago

When work went remote I had to move collaborative whiteboard and sicsovery session online. I ues this pretty extensively for that kind of collaboartion.

Pros

The collaboration that let's people view and manipulate a board all together. Comes in handy when remotely trying to engage a group. I also appreciate all the prebuilt templates for when I need to map out processes or flows.

Cons

More templates per cost point woudl be helpful. Sometimes I find I click when I have to doubleclick, so there coudl be some actions that could be more intuitive as you build out layer upon layer.
