Schedulefly encourages communication between restaurant managers and employees with a built-in message wall, which can be used to share important updates. Daily crib-sheet and scheduled reminders arrive via email each day. Time-off and shift-trade requests can be managed remotely and restaurant owners or managers can track labor cost, payroll, shift trading, and more.

Cloud storage enables users to keep track of important paperwork, staff information, and restaurant policies, making them available to staff at any time. The Schedulefly software also includes a Job-Post tool to assist with hiring and keeping track of resumes. The dashboard provides staff with an overview of their schedule for the week, including shift details such as times and locations.
