Rock overview

What is Rock?

Rock is a simple all-in-one workspace that combines messaging, tasks, notes, files, and meetings in one place. Every project gets its own space with a built-in chat and task board, so your team and your clients can talk and get work done without switching between tools.

Rock is built for small client-services teams, especially digital agencies in marketing, web development, and design. It is easy enough that anyone can pick it up, not just project managers, which makes it a good fit for teams of 5 to 50 that are outgrowing WhatsApp or free Slack and want a simpler way to organize work.

What you can do in Rock:

Messaging: Chat in every 1:1 and group space, with audio messages, polls, reactions, @mentions, and advanced search. Use Topics to keep focused discussions out of the main chat.

Tasks: Full task management in every space. Assign tasks to one or more people, track per-person status, and switch between List, Board (Kanban), Calendar, and My Tasks views. The Unlimited plan adds Sprints, custom fields, and recurring tasks.

Notes: Write rich-text documents inside any space, link them to tasks and files with @mentions, and collaborate with comment threads.

Files: Keep every file in one place, with integrations for Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Notion, Miro, and Smartsheet.

Meetings: Start a Zoom, Google Meet, or Jitsi call from any space in seconds, plus Loom for async video.

Work with clients at no extra cost: Rock lets you add clients, freelancers, and partners from any organization to a space, with full access to messages, tasks, and files. There are no per-guest fees. And because Rock charges one flat price for unlimited users instead of per seat, your bill stays the same as your team and client list grow.

Connect your own AI: Rock does not lock you into one vendor's AI. You can connect ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor through native MCP support, or run any model as a bot with the Custom API. You bring your own key, with no AI surcharge. Rock also integrates with 1,000+ apps through Zapier, plus GitHub and Sentry.

Easy to switch to: Import your history from Slack, WhatsApp, Trello, Asana, ClickUp, Jira, or a CSV file. Rock works on the web, desktop (Mac, Windows, Linux), and mobile (iOS, Android), and is available in English and Spanish.

Thousands of teams, from startups to agencies and growing businesses, use Rock to chat, manage projects, and collaborate with clients in one simple, affordable workspace. Agencies like Metio Software replaced Slack and Asana with Rock, and design studio New Aesthetics replaced Slack and Trello.
