There is a small learning curve but once you are familiar with the layout, building reports are a breeze. I love the extensive filtering options... MUCH better than Shopify Analytics reporting. I love the ability to search the fields in Shopify. As far as I'm aware, every piece of data in Shopify is available in this reporting tool. You can really answer any question you may have about your Shopify data. The scheduling feature is also wonderful. I can't say enough about this app. You definitely want to give it a try. You won't regret it. On top of the great app, the support team is also very responsive and helpful.
At times, my queries timeout due to the volume of data I'm reporting on. That's my only complaint.

We're gaining visibility of multi-merchant data, at scale, that would be impossible to share in Stripe (we even tried Stripe's own Sigma reporting tool). This is near real time (hourly in our case), we have so much freedom in how we use the data, and the experience has been made perfect by the high level of support from the folks at BetterReports.
We assessed multiple products but BetterReports were the only provider to really understand our use case, work with us to solve it, and provide a tool with an exceptionally flexible report building interface (some of the underlying or optional query power is fantastic) and offering a unique workflow to push data out into our Google Sheets environment where we run imports and lookups to power live summaries and graphs. Alongside this the best thing about the software is the support which is fast, experienced, and helpful.
I can't say there is much I don't like because the solutions we have figured out more than outweigh the limitations - I expected the standard of the administration portal and the lack of variety on user types to be a disappointment but in the end understanding we use the tool to push data elsewhere to be used by folks (off the back of a ridiculous amount of large-scale data consolidation from Stripe)

I highly recommend Better Reports
We use this to track UTMs for orders from paid social, to watch gross margin by day, see sales by product by day and more. It's a great, versatile tool.
I think they would benefit from making it more clear just how amazing their support is. The team is fast, highly competent, and will help you get what you need. The app can do it, their team can show you how.

Really like the tag reports and sale reports. Both drive extensive changes within our department.
The lack of flexibility. Very difficult to use as a new user. Could be more seamless.

They reply to emails right away, and always understand my question the first time. We had to move all of our reports from one Shopify store to another, and they did it for us in the blink of an eye with no extra charges. I honestly didn’t know that customer service for an app could be this good. I sincerely hope they are able to keep it up.
The customer service level is outstanding. They help set up reports you need in the first place and when you get stuck on one field or one small issue on an ad hoc report, you email them and they immediately fix the report! It’s like having a fairy godmother of reporting!! The possibilities seem endless. They have never said “that can’t be done”. Custom fields are an amazing feature - they were able to create custom fields for me at various levels of the data that transformed my ability to analyze my business.
It’s not cheap so we hesitated at first. But Better Reports really proves the adage: you get what you pay for. Also the custom fields are a little complex and hard to figure out on your own. This would be a con but because of their amazing customer service it’s a non-issue.
