I use BoardPro on three boards. I love how a single login gives me access to all, even though my role on each board is different. E-Signatures is so easy!  I also love how it doesn't matter what device I'm using - I can easily access everything.  My annotations follow me - not my device!  And the help team are awesome!  So quick to respond. 💖  This is amazing value for money.  All the features of the expensive apps, at 10x less in price.

I've spent many years on a variety of small not for profits and school boards with little capacity to efficiently organise themselves. We looked at a number of similar products and following a short trial it was clear that was a good fit for our needs. Staff appreciated the ease in setting up agendas and by including recommendations in the agenda minute taking is very easy. Board members appreciate the ease of use, consistency and accountability. Meetings are much easier to chair and the ability to have multiple administrators collaborating on the agenda preparation is a great feature - I love it!

Effective support for board meetings.

Kerry H.:                                              Hi, I'm Kerry. I'm the Secretary Treasurer for Bella Vista Residence Association and we use Boardpro and I'd give it a score of five.
                                                       As secretary, I take the minutes of the board meetings, also end up with a lot of the action items and I just found it was taking a lot of time to... Initially I'd create the agenda in discussion with the chair. Then I'd have to write the minutes from there. I was using, I'm an Apple user, so I use pages, create the minutes, then I'd have to convert those to PDF. Then I'd have to distribute them by email to the other board members. If they feed back to me and needed changes, I then had to go in and update the minutes and then redistribute them. And I just found that the amount of time I was spending on it was too much.
                                                       So I looked around for a product like Boardpro, discovered that, and so put it up to the board. They agreed that we could take it on and I've been using it. We don't have many board meetings, but it is so much easier and so much quicker. And probably one of the benefits is the action items. I know because this month I got them all and the fact that I get reminders for those and then I've got the opportunity to say that it's in progress, or I've done it, or I haven't started is good to know. And those responses go to the other guys on the board at the same time. So we're pretty happy with it.
                                                       Yeah, I went with Boardpro because it was affordable, it was easy to use. I did check out a couple of other applications but felt that they were either too expensive or didn't have the functionality that Boardpro had. And so made the decision that Boardpro was it. And it was really good that the first meeting where we used it just proved itself straight away. And subsequently I discovered that my daughter's organization uses it extensively and it's a very large, what do they do? They're a social support organization out in West Auckland. And we talked about it one time when she was here and pointed out the benefits that they were getting. And so it kind of confirmed that I had made the right choice.
                                                       Yeah, it was really easy to implement. For me, I've been involved in software IT networks and so forth for feels like 100 years. I started in IT back in the punch card day, so I've been around for a while and having that experience of, I used to design systems, but I now implement a lot of different systems. I build websites and so forth. So I just found it quite intuitive, easy to use. A couple of the things I struggled with, and it was just a matter of having a go at trying to accomplish something that I was being challenged over, but always found the way forward. So now I'm pretty happy.
                                                       Anybody looking for an application that will assist them with managing board meetings should have a look at Boardpro because of its cost and its functionality. There is also support that comes in the way of webinars that we haven't taken advantage of, but they're probably also worthwhile having a look at. For me, the main thing was, could I create an agenda and then reuse that agenda when I took the minutes? Could I record action items and make sure that they were being completed by the owner of each action? And that was an important functionality. And then of course, the cost is important and for us as a small organization, we found it affordable. So have a look at that and then compare it with other similar offerings and find that Boardpro probably does come out on top.

                                                       We had been using a manual process for our board management application. We looked at a number of other products in the market on the board management application space. We looked at Diligent, and Diligent probably didn't meet our needs ideally. We also looked at Convene, another board management application, and probably was a bit to intricate for our purposes. We decided to look in another direction. That's where we came across Boardpro specifically.
                                                       We liked Boardpro as an application for a number of reasons. It was great value for a start. We're a nonprofit organization, we liked the lightweight deployment of Boardpro. There wasn't a great deal of configuration needed, but that can be modified. You can have it as implementations as complex or as non-complex as you need. We are very committee-driven, and that simplicity of having a lightweight implementation was very attractive and appealing to us. It's a very intuitive product. And because we have a diversity of membership, particularly on our committees and boards, it was easy for them to pick the product up straight away and start using it.
                                                       We started with Boardpro via their trial. We had 30 days to assess the product. We had a number of committee meetings and a board meeting within that time to allow us to assess the product. It was a very easy and intuitive starting point, and it allowed us to progress really easily with the utilization of the pretty much the breadth of the whole application. So, it was a very easy start using Boardpro.
                                                       The advice I'd give to anyone considering Boardpro as an application for board management or committee management is to make sure you have a clear understanding of what you're hoping to get out of the product before you jump in that particular direction. We had a really clear and well established committee structure, so it was easy for us to do the implementation. I think Boardpro lends itself to those situations where you have your established committee and board structure, which made it so easy for us to get started with. I think that's my key advice, that you're really clear on what your structure looks like to take into Boardpro before you get started.
