I often use Planner for my Programs and projects, including personal. It is an excellent option for Microsoft users to improve the way of tracking their tasks.
Integration with other Office 365 tools.
I wish that this tool can adapt the copy & paste feature when you try to make a checklist with many items from one external file or app.

Planner is helping me track personal tasks as well as organizational tasks. This helps me remember what i need to do and the days left to be done
The notification feature really excites me, all other features including status changes, visualization are very helpful. Planner was very easy to be adapted and easy to use.
The fact that it doesn’t allow you to input time range spent on a task or estimated time to completion the task was worrying. This feature will be useful when its added

While it may not be suitable for teams with complex workflows, its customizable views and affordable pricing make it a good choice for small to medium-sized teams who are looking for a straightforward way to manage their tasks and collaborate in real-time.
Easy-to-use interface that makes it simple for teams to manage their tasks and collaborate in real-time. Integration with other Microsoft applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook, provides a seamless user experience. Customizable views allow users to track progress and manage tasks in a way that works best for their team. Mobile app enables users to stay connected and manage tasks on-the-go.Pricing is affordable, making it accessible to teams of all sizes.
Limited customization options may not be suitable for teams with complex workflows or specific needs. Dependence on Microsoft applications may be a disadvantage for teams who prefer to use other tools or platforms.

Overall, as a student, my experience with Microsoft Planner was very positive. The platform provided me with a simple and effective way to manage my tasks and collaborate with my team, which helped me stay organized and on top of my work. Despite a few limitations, I found Microsoft Planner to be a valuable tool that made it easier for me to succeed in my studies.
I liked how Microsoft Planner made it easy for me to stay organized and on top of my tasks. The platform's user-friendly interface and intuitive design made it simple for me to create and manage tasks, set deadlines, and track progress. I also appreciated the ability to collaborate with my team on tasks and projects, which made it easy for us to stay on the same page and ensure that nothing fell through the cracks.
The only thing I didn't like about Microsoft Planner was that some of its features and capabilities could be a bit limited. For example, I would have liked to be able to include more detailed information about each task, such as subtasks and notes. Additionally, I found that some of the mobile app's features were not as robust as the desktop version, which made it a bit harder to manage tasks on-the-go.

Actually mine PM came with an idea of implementing Microsoft Planner to our daily work. Planner works fine, filtering and file sharing works great (mostly).
Different functionalities if you using via Teams or web browser (browser is definitely better option). And it also made a chaos on our Sharepoint. Saves all files in root directory by default.

Overall, I would highly recommend Microsoft Planner to anyone who needs an organizational tool for their team. It has helped me and my team stay on top of our tasks and projects, and it is a great way to collaborate and communicate effectively.
Microsoft Planner is a great tool for organizing tasks and managing projects within a team. I have used it at work and have found it to be very helpful in keeping everything on track. One of the best features of the app is that it allows you to create different boards for different projects, and within those boards, you can create different cards for individual tasks. This makes it easy to keep track of everything that needs to be done and assign tasks to team members.
However, there are some downsides to the app. One of the main issues I have encountered is that it can be a bit difficult to navigate and use at first. It takes some time to get used to the interface and all of the different features. Additionally, there are limitations to the customization options for the boards and cards, which can be frustrating for some users.

I highly recommend anyone to use this planner to help organize their day.
This software is very user friendly. It allows me to prioritize tasks and visualize what needs to be completed in my day.
I do not need to track the status of the task therefore that feature is not necessary

It's definitely love and hate. It's great for short-term tasks and reminders. But not great for team collaboration and projects. I know MS has a separate tool they like to upsell to but we were really hoping this would have some more basic task features.
The planner is principally great because it's native to Microsoft. Especially in MS Teams, it's super to manage single tasks.
It does have limits in the enterprise tier we have. The most annoying is that we can't tag team members in the comments of tasks and we can't create sub-tasks within it.

It is an easy-to-use tool, but with few features that will allow you to work collaboratively.
Its highly controlled integration with the other Microsoft 365 product modules. It is very easy to learn, with the gantt view which is customizable and filterable. The management of notifications is intelligent, they are sent grouped, not one by one. Integration with email and other tools through Power Automate.
Few features on content management: No text formatting, impossible to identify collaborators in the comment, no drag and drop for files, no preview for images.

Planner is a generally good tool for tracking tasks and small projects.
No nesting possibilities for subtasks or branching. Only 3 stages of status, could have a review status or additional options. Hard to determine your bucket use system initially.

I primarily use planner for lighter collaboration work with the team. It helps us stay on track and get the job done, but could be more powerful.
The different buckets and silos make it easy to track the status and priority of tasks as we move forward. Like that you can attach files too. Great connectivity with the other Microsoft products.
Is a bit of a learning curve to get started and there isn’t an @ mention feature to tag colleagues.

Planner is a great starting point for shared tasks, and may be a perfect long term solution for M365 users. For those looking for depth of features or more robust task/project management functionality, you may need to step up to Project or look elsewhere (e.g. Asana, etc.)
Planner is intuitive, robust, and deeply connected and integrated with Microsoft 365. For basic team-based task tracking, it's hard to beat!
Like most things Microsoft - they shipped a viable product, but are stuck on building new functionality and innovation. It has come a long way, but waiting for improvements can be painfully slow. E.g. notifications, file sharing, etc. feel quite limited based on what other modern software packages are doing.

Overall I am very happy with the Microsoft Planner software.
Planner keeps me and my tasks organized. It also saves time as it allows others to easily see progress and any comments.
Takes time to set up initially, to learn features, how to first use and to integrate with other software.

I don't use the app's notifications part much and the collaboration of this tool with others in Microsoft 365

It has a very intuitive interface to create Gantt diagrams and define a collaborative environment to assign tasks to the team and track work load in real time. Completely integrated with MS Teams. I specially like the possibility to highlight the priority tasks.
Notifications could be improved with the possibility to mention team members on the comment or messages when tasks are assigned. It does not have outstanding features you cannot get in other project management tools, many of them for free.

Mmm, easy to install? Colourful? A great application of a pivot table?
Not what I expected. Neglects their entire target market. Quite useless, in the true sense of the word. I watched a captivating presentation given by a MS employee about how Planner is going to be the 'quot;go-between'quot; with this app, that is, go between Tasks, and MS Project. My interest was immediately piqued. I have many small business clients, ran by over-stressed small business owners who...

I have begun to use this as my sole project and task tracker. I like that it saves all completed tasks to show how far a project has come along. It is rewarding to see all that has been accomplished.
I like how Planner is able to be customized to the project being working on with buckets and theming. It is also nice to assign tasks to others, knowing they will get alerts. Finally, I really enjoy the calendar view once tasks are assigned dates.
There is not one thing i like least, I know there are certain features I need to explore more.

After seeing a different (paid) software that a vendor was using I decided to see what was included in our company's Microsoft offerings. It was exciting to see this is available and is very similar to the other product that a vendor uses. It's enabled me to better plan out my projects and make sure I don't miss any steps in the process. It also makes it easy to pull up and show my supervisors so they can see the status on everything as well.
It allows me to easily track various projects and tasks that I'm working on. It allows easy collaboration with other teammates on individual projects as well. Then everyone can quickly see what is being worked on, the status, and what needs attention.
It would be nice if I could integrate it into Outlook or someplace that's an easier reminder that it's there. Right now I have it open in my browser and keep it open all the time, but that's not ideal.

Microsoft Planner has provided our team with a visually organized structure of tracking tasks for projects. We're able to compartmentalize what steps are needed to complete projects and collaborate live as tasks are completed. Helps us to not miss a step.
I enjoy the structure of this program the most. It's easy to learn and implement into your task-tracking habits. This has helped projects move along the process of completion in a more streamlined fashion. My team members and I can collaborate live and be confident in the status of a project.
This software is slightly limited in status tracking. With complex projects, I would prefer if there were more options in how I can communicate where a task is in its process. Other than that, this program works great for our need to track our tasks.
