Microsoft Word Pricing Reviews

Pros
  • Switched to word from open office - found this to be a lot more intuitive and very useful getting a document just right.
  • Microsoft Word is a good product that gets the job done. It has all of the necessary features and options to put together just about whatever document that you need.
  • By far the best for text editors nowadays, and the money spent on the Office subscription is absolutely well spent. The features, possibilities of add-ons and integration make a strong argument for its choice. Essential for every professional team.
  • Word has only become more feature rich over time. Some of the newer collaboration features are very useful and add value like editing without downloading a file. Not sure what I'd use if I were to switch to something else because everyone uses Word.
Cons
  • Maybe the price for a single individual can be a little bit high. The online version has space to improve.
  • The cost is a bit absurd. I understand that it is usually free with the purchase of a PC but this is not always the case.
  • Price might be a con as there are free solutions out there. Otherwise all good things to say. Microsoft is the way to go
  • Word has only become more clunky over time. It can get buggy but it's not detrimental not am I sure that anything can be done about it because the application has only become more complex over time.

We all grew up with Microsoft Word, it could probably be the first word processor anyone has used. This needs no learning curve and it is absolutely easy to work with. You can just start typing and edit the text accordingly. This is the best word processor and it will stay that way.

The text tool I keep coming back to

Now that Word is cloud-based and has a monthly subscription plan I can't find a better product. Microsoft has been creating their tools for so many years and they're definitely the leaders of the pack, from features to functionality - I just keep coming back to it and find it hard to use competitor projects such as Apple's iPages. The ability to work with colleagues on the same document makes it incredibly easy to collaborate with.

The capabilities with Word don't stop. I've been using Word since the '90s and to be honest, I think it's the program that most people are familiar with. Most documents need to be Office compatible in this day and age and it's easy to see why. Word is a word processor that packs a punch and allows you to do a lot with formatting, editing, and tracking of changes. The auto-correcting of grammar and spelling is an amazing feature for those of us who write for a living, and the choice to edit in multiple languages can be a must. Word can be used on a very basic level or on an extremely complex level depending on your requirements.
