I have used Microsoft word since I had my first computer and though I have tried other alternatives, I haven't seen anyone that comes close to providing the features and reliability that word offers.
Easily create and edit documents, CVs, resumes, agreements with clients, letters, and even invoices. Can be a good writing pad if you are writing a blog article A good number of templates to work it if you are not interested in creating a professional document from scratch. Allows for easy collaboration with other users
Pricing is the only issue I have with word.

For 2 decades MS Word was only choice. With new century and alternatives like OpenOffice or Google Docs buying MS Word for most of users is a mistake. If you are advanced user, need a version control (see how GitHub works btw) document workflow or doc management - maybe it will be a good app for you.
+ first mover advantage: they created a market, so everything that other alternatives implemented is some kind of copy/inspiration of "good old Word" + well known interface + no compatibility issues even between older .doc versions + great functions that can connect other apps from MS Office (like connecting to Excel to print envelopes with mail merge functions) + great online library of doc templates + commenting and editor functions + vocabularies
- price, especially that for most of functions you may use a free alternatives like Google Docs, OpenOffice, LibreOffice etc. - current layout is very hard to use comparing to MS Word 97 - who need a WordArt in the world of Canva? - consumes a lot of resources, especially if document contains some pasted images (it should have something like lazy load in websites)

Microsoft Word is a full-featured program that sets the industry standard. The combination between Word and Viewpoint is consistent. I will recommend this program since it is a well-designed computer program for clients of all expertise levels. I can send emails to clients more rapidly. In spite of its imperfections, Word remains my go-to computer program for composing compelling and engaging fabric. Microsoft Word offline editing spares my day, particularly when there's no web association.
Microsoft Word incorporates plenty of organizing choices that permit you to tailor your archives to your inclinations. Since of the expansive number of formats available, as well as the broad spelling and linguistic checks, anyone can make professional-looking papers. The page format, character designing, and passage designing apparatuses are very advantageous and empower the fast development of proficient and clear writing. It is basic to collaborate among a few people working on the same papers much obliged to the interaction with Microsoft Cloud 365. Microsoft Word permits clients to deliver archives quickly and effectively and keep them in one area.
I accept that working with words and visuals may offer assistance me superior. It may, be that as it may, be overwhelming at times due to the number of choices accessible. There are still issues with participation since as it were one editor may alter the archive at a time. I completely miss being able to tailor the organizing down to the character level.

Slow. Just slow. There is not a need for many of the options that are available in the program. Honestly Microsoft needs to slim this program down and make it more lightweight and useable. It would also great to just have Word as a standalone product. In the end, its much more cost effective and easier to go with a free option like LibreOffice or OpenOffice. They are free, functional, just a feature packed and run much better on all spec PCs.
I do like that it is basically the same program underneath all these years. Documents are easy to write and easy to configure. Plus it does look really nice.
The program is so bloated these days that it just runs slow. It does not matter what computer I run this on or how bad or good the computer is, it always boots slow and just runs slow overall. This program has been fattened so much that one does not use a good 75 percent of all the useless options that are here.

I couldn't do any of what I do without it. I have used Word since it's inception and use no other word processing program.
I write all my books here. In addition, I'm an editor and the track changes and commenting are essential in the work that I do.
It can glitch and freeze on larger documents and while editing. Also working on Onenote can be tricky and sometimes loss work between users.

Overall, Microsoft Word is a powerful word-processing software that is user-friendly and offers a wide range of features. While it has some drawbacks, such as its cost and limited compatibility, it remains a popular choice for many users. Its most common uses include writing, editing, presentations, and collaboration. I am totally satisfied with the features and uses of this tool.
1. User-Friendly: Microsoft Word is designed to be user-friendly, even for people who have never used it before. The interface is simple and easy to navigate, making it easy for anyone to use.2. Formatting Options: Word offers a wide variety of formatting options that allow you to customize your documents to your liking. You can change fonts, colours, and sizes, as well as additional tables, images,...
1. Cost: Microsoft Word is not a free program, and it requires a subscription to Microsoft Office to use. This can be a significant expense for some users.2. Limited Compatibility: While Word documents can be opened in other programs, some formatting and features may not be supported, which can cause issues when sharing documents with others.3. Steep Learning Curve: While Microsoft Word is designed to be user-friendly, it can still take some time to learn all of its features and functions. This can be daunting for new users.

It has been my go-to word processing software for many years, providing a reliable and feature-rich environment for creating and editing documents. The user-friendly interface, extensive functionality, and integration with other Microsoft Office tools have consistently supported my productivity and professional communication needs.
There are several aspects of Microsoft Word that I particularly appreciate. Firstly, its extensive range of formatting options allows me to create professional and visually appealing documents. Secondly, the spell-check and grammar-check features help ensure accuracy and improve the overall quality of my writing. Lastly, the seamless integration with other Microsoft Office applications makes it convenient to collaborate and share documents across different platforms.
While Microsoft Word is a powerful word processing tool, there are a few aspects that could be improved. Firstly, the program can sometimes be resource-intensive and slow down on older or less powerful computers, which can be frustrating. Secondly, the complexity of some advanced features, such as mail merge or document automation, may require additional effort to master. Lastly, although the auto-save function is helpful, occasional crashes or unexpected closures can result in data loss if changes haven't been saved manually.

Hands down the best software for writing, document creation and management. This is very specific, but I love the integrations, the dictionary is a life changer for writing and it is accessible even offline.
Sometimes, it can freeze if the document is too heavy. But that's literally the same for any software of this kind.

MS word has helped us produce professional documents that are organized and clear. It has helped us with organizing and record keeping. Overall it helps us convey to others that we are a serious and professional business.
This is my preferred product. It has advanced features and can keep up with our growing needs, especially when integrated with other Microsoft products (which are all great). Microsoft word has so many available features and options. I've yet to need something that Word did not offer. It has been around for a long time. I'm very familiar with it, infact I've been using it since elementary school.
Price... There are so many great products that integrate with MS word, however all of them can be expensive. Word isn't really complete without these other products. For example you need a place to store the documents you create with Word. You'll then need to pay for one drive. If you want to make a presentation using these documents or files you've stored, you'll need to pay for PowerPoint.. I also wish that the offline accessibility was better.

I am an old school user of Word and a big fan. I have taken advanced courses to learn all about the lesser known features and have implemented tools such as mailings to send letters to clients. While I am a hardened fan of Word, I also enjoyed getting the free version that came with a PC or the $10 copy that you could buy with the now defunct Home Use Program. Still I shelled out the money with my last laptop purchase to get it. But as I approach the time to buy a new laptop, I am not sure that I can't make due with Google Docs. We'll see.
I love the ease use of Microsoft Word. You can open the software begin typing and save your document. Everything else is like gravy. Truthfully it is a lot more than that but the Windows concept is used in most other software that makes Word intuitive even if you have never used it. Since I have a version saved on my laptop I often use Word to format documents using tables, inserting shapes, messing...
I have started to get used to the sharing and saving features of Google Docs and they are not as good on Word. My laptop battery does not last long and every time I unplug, my files get autosaved and I have to waste a lot of time sorting them out. As an advanced user of Microsoft Word, I can tell you the drawing and formatting capability on Word is challenging. It can be hard to move an image or chart around on the page without first creating a table or other work around. It is also impossible to use the full page without some type of margin.

Microsoft Word is my to-do software for creating documents and other promotional materials like flyers, brochures, newsletters, etc. The customizable templates provided by Microsoft Word are of great help especially when I am out of ideas. I absolutely adore the number of features and fonts it has. The offline editing of Microsoft Word helps save my day especially when no internet is available.
Microsoft Word is undoubtedly the best software for creating and managing documents with ease. It comes with a number of different customizable templates that can help a user create birthday party invitations, bookmarks, traditional newspapers, and newsletters in a jiffy. Microsoft Word lets a user create documents quickly without any hassle, store them in one place, collaborate with others, and edit them offline.
I love using Microsoft Word for creating newsletters, reports, etc very conveniently. It can however be overwhelming at times because of the features present in it. Plus there is always a fear of losing data unless you save it. But overall it is great software for the purpose of document management.

Neutral.
Ease and familiarity of use and the assurance that everyone in professional circles who receives a document made on MS Word will be able to access it and edit it with the right permissions.
If the computer crashes or shuts down by mistake the files not saved as per process always get lost and the recovery options are not always suggested even in professional paid versions of MS Word.

Word is a full-featured program and it sets the standard in the category. One must be aware, however, that features, functionality, and use differ somewhat from modality to modality (e.g., desktop, Office365, online, app for Android). With those limitations in mind, a little careful planning will make the transition fairly (but not entirely) painless.
I enjoy using the desktop version of Word. I do miss the formatting flexibility of older products, but have adjusted to the Word world view. Within its limitations, this is a top notch program.
I really miss the ability to customize all formatting down to the character level. Unfortnately Word still forces some formatting to occur at the line or paragraph level. Workarounds are cumbersome and introduce errors when sharing documents between programs.

In Hungary, but I reckon in other nations as well, MS Word is the leader, but no the only sw. used to create a "Word" file we do not even call them "documents", "text files", that is how Word sw. became a part of our life. MS Word is on the market for nearly 40 years, one of the most widely-can-be-used sw. on the market and I believe the best text editor right now. Happy to have it, I am using Office kit from my elementary school days and will be using still in the future. There are some rival to MS Word, but it is still the leader, MS has the intention, money, manpower to make it better, but it needs to listen and hear the sound of its users to give the users what they need and want.
A lot of training materials, examples, training tasks are available, both online (videos, PDFs, descriptions) and "offline", I mean books, leaflets, notes) to get the potential out of MS Word. You can have it for free, if you are a student, can buy even genuine key for a very low price, MS "World" and some sw. are available with an MS account for free, with great functionality. Word and MS Office package...
There is an option to share a document and simultaneously edit it, this function needs polishing so as the online version and the Professional / O365 versions. Developing a program to use Word's resources may be not that easy at first, its programming language could be better. Having a password to protect you doc. is not the best, not that hard to crack it sometimes. Sometimes bugs may appear, like...

I have been using the Microsoft Office Word application for a long time ago since I was in college, At that time I am a Fanatic User of Microsoft Products before and until today since the version and release of Office 97. Until now I will recommend these products because it is a good software design for all levels of users whether it is newbies or oldies then can easily grasp the ease of use and features of this software due to more users design graphics and well-organized menus and tabs for the user's demands and needs.
Microsoft Office Word is one of the many products from Microsoft Office wherein we use in creating documents, particularly our daily reports, research output, paper school outcomes, and other office projects, like dissertations, memos, and convert it into many different file types that we can use and open it in other computers like a tablet, cellular phone, and in a different environment like open-source...
Like all Microsoft Products, Microsoft Word has its limitations and eccentricities. It could be more user-friendly, which is where some of the competing office applications. It is absolutely not good for creating original art or illustrations even though many users seem to think so. If we want original graphics that we want, then we should be creating them in some other application like Photoshops, Fireworks, etc., and them import them to the Microsoft Office Word application.

- Collaboration tools shared internally & externally and integrated with Windows task bar, OneDrive (local synch of shared filestore), @mention comments to assign internal tasks - Simple to use with available powerful tools such as form fields, excellent table support, even mail merge to Outlook email - Powerful track changes & review - Send as PDF email: Simple & use it all the time (instead of saving as PDF, then sending PDF).
There is some obvious innovation that is long overdue. - Tables that can easily perform functions like Excel (the feature exists, it's just clunky to implement) - Mail merge to Outlook email is incredibly powerful & could be streamlined to be a must use feature for individualized, but "mass" emailing small groups. - Templates (.dot) files & sharing of templates within an organization needs a UX & feature revamp - Built in easy Document Signing features

The experience with this software is ok, however give a chance to free alternatives that can allow access from anybody.
The most advantageous use of MS Word is its reliableness when working offline. This software will deliver a great environment of useful tools for generating or editing text. Currently, this software is working really well on Mac OS computers and it seems that the day of crashes is far behind. I like to use the track the changes features especially now that can be made by multiple online users, as well as the interesting interaction it provides when working on a project together.
First of all, I am noticing people, especially the youngsters, are not using MS WOrd anymore. This fact can make you pass the frustration of sending a file to someone that cannot read it. People are preferring to use online text softwares, which is free. So it makes me to think if the price I pay for MS is worth it.

My overall experience with ms word is great as I use it daily and most of my business documents are created with the help of this platform only. We use it to create a document that needs to reach the customers on a digital platform.
The best thing about ms word is that it can be accessed from anywhere without even an internet connection. It is one of the most secure platforms to keep important data. There are lots of tools to create attractive documents.
Although the platform is great but one thing I noticed is that for collaborative projects the user should have a strong internet connection.

LaTex might be better for some things and free ... but at leaset Microsoft Word is more user friendly for non-programmers. I actually know a decent amount of programming but learning any new language or style (like Latex) just takes some time matter how good one is with programming. Overall, Microsoft Word is a great product, widely used and I would recommend the purchase of MS Office.
Microsoft Word is a great software because I can write smoothly easily and normally. Most general papers and even many documents have the style that Microsoft word presents. There is a ton of backup functionality for formatting and the GUI interface for formatting is rather straightforward.
My number one thing is that my laptop has a 13" screen and the top ribbon is too large. (total top and bottom combined is about 35% of the screen with the ruler showing). You can customize what is on the ribbon in the settings but that doesn't auto compress the ribbon size. You could shrink the ribbon down completely but then it is harder to format. The icons are larger than they need to be so I fell...

Overall, the software is one of the best, if not, the best platform available in the market to create documents. It offers a wide range of tools that will save you time like for example, the templates available to use and each tool will allow to create high quality documents. It is easy to use, although, certain features require a minimum level of expertise.
I have been using Microsoft Word for about 15 years and the software itself provides tools/features to build high quality written documents, reports, resumes and many other documents that are important in a business or any organization. From my user perspective, I use Microsoft Word for research based documents and to create tables/analyses. I use it on a daily basis to build SOPs, guidelines, research...
A feature that the application can improve is the fact that most of the time, the work does not save automatically and it causes you to lose all the progress you made with the word documents. It is also very difficult to recover unsaved files or the files can't be recover at all.

Overall, Word's collaborative tools, user-friendly interface, and integration with other Microsoft applications and third-party services make it a powerful and versatile tool for a variety of tasks, from writing reports to creating presentations.
multiple users can work on the same document simultaneously, making it ideal for group projects, team assignments, or collaborative writing. also in terms of ease of use, Word's ribbon interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate the program and find specific functions. Additionally, Word's customizable quick-access toolbar allows adding frequently used commands for even quicker access.
In terms of usability, Word's layout can sometimes feel overwhelming, with an extensive array of menus and options that can make it challenging to find specific functions. Furthermore, while Word's keyboard shortcuts can be very useful, they may not be immediately apparent to new users.

For more than two years, I've been using Microsoft Word. I think it's an excellent piece of software that's incredibly intuitive, easy to use, and quick to pick up if you're a newbie. There are various options for maximizing and exploring the Word processor. It is not necessary for you to have any skills in order to utilize this; it is simple and everyone can learn it.
Microsoft is practically accessible to everyone. It allows you to produce simple word processing documents such as letters and reports and customize them by adding elements, colors, and cliparts. It's very simple to combine with other Microsoft Office applications. It provides immediate assistance with language and grammar. People will find it very easy and accessible. It's simple to read and write, and it's also uncomplicated to collaborate with other users.
While Word is the best word processor on the market, it may be somewhat costly. It's also complicated because most users will probably never use half of Word's features. The intricacy may be a disincentive for some users, as the functions available may overwhelm them. Some functions are not always intuitive, and getting the intended consequences can take some time. Personally, I've had trouble inserting pictures and aligning text neatly around them. Although the offered options appear to provide what I require, I do not always achieve the desired result.
