Checkmate overview
What is Checkmate ?
Checkmate is an automated online reference checking software that collects and verifies employee reference information. Features include automated alerts for reference requests, identity checking using LinkedIn, custom branding of the Checkmate platform and fraudulent reference prevention.
Checkmate contains a catalog of reference check template questions to choose from. Alternatively, recruiters and hiring managers can create their own role specific questions for each candidate. Checkmate uses an Intelligent Questionnaire (IQ) functionality to gather answers in real time and create questions based on the responses being given.
The platform sends reference requests via email and/or text to candidates for them to nominate referees and answer questions set by recruiters and hiring managers. Referees then receive a secure link to complete the candidate reference. Upon completion, referees return the reference which will appear in the recruiter dashboard for review. Completed references appearing in the dashboard can be shared, downloaded, or archived for future hiring needs.
