PurplePass is a great option for all your ticketing needs

We are a small community theatre and needed a ticketing solution that was robust and give patrons the opportunity to select their seats online and pay for them. Before we just used a reservation line and people would have to leave a message and we call them back when they wanted tickets. Using PurplePass has allowed to have an online ticketing presence and makes it much easier for users to purchase and acquire tickets to our shows.

Pros

Low cost to get started and handles all functions of ticketing really well.

Cons

There were some issues with the Beta version of the software but was able to receive resolutions after contacting support.

Purple Pass is classy, affordable and fast

Purple Pass makes ticketing easy and adds that professional touch that makes our brand really stand out in our market.

Pros

I like being able to create inexpensive, full-color, perforated tickets for our events. Purple Pass prints them and gets them to us within a few days. These give our events and brand a classy, professional look.

Cons

I would prefer that once the event is over, that the pay out from Purple Pass to us would be within a day or so, and not have the five day lag time that now exists.

We have worked with several ticketing companies over the years and the Purple Pass team rises above the others. The most important element of our service oriented entertainment business is excellent customer service. The Purple Pass team is available to provide immediate answers and solutions to ticketing customers concerns quickly and efficiently. We appreciate the value this dedication to great customer service provides our business.

Pros

The online and event day products are easy to use and set up. Event volunteers can be trained in moments. Customer service was excellent. staff was available when we needed them most.

Cons

event day promotional ticket sales on tablet can be confusing.

Excellent from start (our first event with PP) to finish (our last hybrid conference last month).

Pros

PurplePass is not only easy to use, but staff has been very helpful resolving event registration problems (that have been our fault). I'm always relieved at how easy it is to set up registration for our events; and I appreciate their responsiveness even though our events do not generate substantial revenue (for small, interactive conferences priced to encourage registration by college staff who often do not have much budget for events. It's also nice to have the revenue reimbursement come quickly.

Cons

I sometimes do the ticket pricing wrong, and ours is a bit complicated (2 or 3 levels); but staff has always been able to correct it.

Stage 62 and Purplepass

As a community theater, our lifeblood is ticketing. PurplePass's system has made it easy to host events and shows with a reliable ticketing site that doesn't cost our patrons an exorbitant fee.

Pros

We searched many ticketing services while looking for a new provider. PurplePass has some of the most competitive prices around. Their customer service is very responsive, and our representative is always willing and able to help us. The design of the site is easy to navigate. Our events are easy to incorporate right into our existing website.

Cons

We have found that some of the search features for ticket orders do not work in a similar fashion that we are used to. It would be helpful for the purchased seats to appear in a seating chart format on the back end. Neither of these is a deal breaker, and we are certainly getting used to using the new system.

Vendor response

Regarding your desire to view purchased seats on the seating chart, you are already able to do this. Log into your account and click on the "Map" button for your event. This loads the seating map manager for your event where you can manage holds and notes. You are able to click any sold seat on the map to see the full order details of that customer including all other seats in that order.

Easy to use, functionality, competitive price, friendly and responsive reps.

Pros

Flexible and easy to use software and hardware. All inclusive package options at price points we can pick. Customer service was reliable and we always had all our questions answered - if an answer was unavailable then our rep made sure to find a solution we could work with. Inexpensive and extremely competitive. We have used other software from competing vendors and honestly would recommend PurplePass before recommending other software. Lots of great programming options based on our individual needs and not so overly complicated that we need an IT degree to manipulate the software - that is the bonus! Our rep, Gabriel, was great to work with and responsive to our sometimes wacky questions.

Cons

We really liked the software as it is very competitive to other programs available on the market. The only two drawbacks we found include integration onto websites - it doesn't allow the user to stay on the website - it kept forwarding to PurplePass url. Perhaps this is due to our website software - WIX- but that was slightly annoying for our users. The other drawback is really more of a suggestion...

It's very much appreciated :) Regarding your concern about the integration, we offer a fully embedded ticket widget which allows the customer to purchase directly on your website without ever having to be redirected off of your site. Wix is a bit challenging in that they are VERY strict with outside code. They allow it but they encapsulate it within an iFrame. We do have a "High Compatibility" version of our widget which is designed to address this exact issue. Great platform for event ticket sales

Purplepass allows us to efficiently manage ticket sales for our semi-annual events and expedite guest entry without any hassles or delays for our team or attendees.

Pros

We LOVE how user-friendly the platform has been for us. The setup was pretty intuitive and since we produce the same event twice a year, being able to copy & create a new event with previous settings is super time-saving. I also love that we can integrate our merchant account for payment processing to keep things as cost-effective as possible.

Cons

We'd love to see a bit more customization on the visual side of things. The ticketing page isn't as pretty as we present our brand online otherwise. Specifically, the formatting tool for entering event details is outdated and inconsistent.

FTMP Events

Purplepass has been FTMP Events' ticketing service for over 5 years, and we stick with it due to the reliability and great service. We highly recommend them to anyone interested in selling tickets online for event(s).

Pros

Low fees for customers, no minimum sales limits for promoters, great customer service and very quick turn-around

Cons

Only thing that causes some confusion is the ticket links re-direct to a large string. Like http://www.purplepass.com/DOYLE122118 when loaded, turns into https://www.purplepass.com/#170920/FTMP_Events-DOYLE_(legendary_ex-guitarist_of_The_Misfits)-Buffalo_Iron_Works-December-21-2018.html

Purplepass: A platform with many features, easy to use, and affordable

My overall experience was a positive one. I have to say the fact that the Purplepass staff was so accessible is the most impressive. Having worked with various platforms the accessibility of the staff is key.

Pros

The staff was always available and quickly answered any questions we had. It was super easy to embed Purplepass into our website. It was super easy to code the wristbands with all our events. It was super easy to process our patrons at each of the events.

Cons

My only issue is that some of the reports could be done better. I couldn't easily pull a list of one event out of our weekend, but we did receive will call lists for each event. So we got the date, just not necessarily in the way we would have liked.

To address your question about pulling a list for a single event, you can easily do that by going to the Reporting > Transactions to create a list of all orders for any custom data set (date range, single event, across multiple events, etc.). Ticket Reservations and reporting for 8 theatrical shows

I used another service for years. They stopped providing any phone support and the payments were very late if at all. I stopped using them and looking for an alternative. This service fit my needs perfectly. I did look at two other services but the cost and complexity were greater. They also give a discount for Non Profit Organizations.

Pros

First and foremost the support staff was wonderful. Their response was almost immediate. They assisted some of our patrons over the phone. They also solved a problem I created immediately when I asked what had gone wrong. The product is almost self explanatory if you have used any other ticketing service but much easier to use.

Cons

The way I setup our Festival Pass was cumbersome. It was more a lack of knowledge about the way it worked than the syst3em itself. I'll work closely with the support staff next time to get it exactly right.

Purple Pass is a Great Fit for Basic Event Ticketing!

Ticketing software is as varied as the wide array of ticketing needs out there, but for what we use Purple Pass for, it does the job perfectly. Ease of use, customization, reporting. All of these are excellent with Purple Pass.

Cons

I have other software that does this other stuff, so it's not a big deal, but Purple Pass doesn't have options to do things like add specific classes per ticket and such, and to log in and adjust your options after the fact. It doesn't claim to go "that deep" into it though. It's great for what it claims to do.

Purplepass serves us well.

Our overall experience with Purplepass has been very positive - from the initial call to their sales team, to initial Event setup - including them creating our seat map, to Event configuration and testing, go-live and pre-event sales support, and then day-of-event support. They have been responsive and spot-on with their recommendations. They've shipped scanners and printers to our location on-time and things have worked well. We've just finished our second year with Purplepass and we're very happy.

Pros

We like Purplepass because it gives us the flexibility to manage ticketing for an annual event in a SAAS model. The robust features, easy-to-use interfaces, fantastic support, and reasonable pricing combine to make this an easy decision.

Cons

I would like to see better support for HTML / text formatting in some of the custom text blocks - which is really a minor (yet easy to solve) issue. Otherwise, we are hard-pressed to find what we "like least".

They are pretty on point here with very few errors. The original tickets were a bit plane but they have recently added a feature for a higher quality ticket print . No complaints

easy and inexpensive

Pros

Easy to use and set up events. Customer feedback has been all positive and the cloud ticketing us just what we needed.

Cons

Just being honest...The equipment rental program. Very expensive IMHO for what you get if it it even needed. A true cloud company would not need this. Still have no problem so far with PP

Pros

I liked the paper ticket feature, the cost and ease of use setting up event. Website event page was easy to use and share.

Cons

I think it needs to help market its customers more via social media and email blasts. Also not sure who's end this is on but when sharing event on social media the thumbnail provided was a low purple pass one would like to have our event pic instead.

the Purplepass crew have been responsive and helpful. I recommend their service to anyone working within a tight budget.

Pros

Ease of use, intuitive nature.

Cons

The ticketing side is a little clunky and you're unable to see how many tickets have been redeemed.

Matt, Thanks for the great feedback! Regarding your comment about not being able to see how many tickets have been redeemed, you can view this in real-time from your promoter login. Log into your account, go to Stats and click on the "Attendance" tab. This will show you all of your redeemed tickets graphed out in 1 hour, 30 minute, or 15 minute intervals. Inexpensive Ticketing Solution

It's been a good experience. No site is perfect, and the small problem I listed is minor. We've been able to control our events, control pricing, make changes when necessary, and the price we pay is very reasonable.

Pros

It's very cost effective while still being useful and accessible.

Cons

The layout on the purchasing page has cause some confusion for our users. "General Admission" tickets are listed more clearly than assigned seats, causing people to buy standing room tickets when they wanted seat

Excellent! Being able to count on Purplepass Ticketing for my events is critical for me. I most appreciate their staff and support - they are always responsive and quick with resolutions to my questions. Purplepass fees are reasonable and affordable, and they payout earnings promptly.

Purple Pass has amazing Customer Support

Gabe and his team are wonderful to work with and very responsive. When I needed a report they didn't have a template for, Gabe created it for me! I have also received calls from customer service reps suggesting we add options that our customers are requesting, which increases our ticket sales. Everyone I have come in contact with at Purple Pass has always been helpful and polite. I highly recommend Purple Pass for anyone that is looking for a ticketing platform that is easy to use, cost effective and customer service oriented.

Combining all ticketing for our event under one source was a great decision for us.

Pros

They delivered the full system we requested, and our team was so pleased with the way it worked. Their “pricing” was also the best we had, and for a non-profit organization that was also important.
