Very Satisfied User

Excellent experience! I've only encountered one problem and was able to have it resolved in a timely manner. When the customer service rep needed to find out some information for me, he returned my call within minutes with the correct solutions. I value excellent customer service.

Pros

The feature I like the most is the ease of the software and the ability to navigate easily between pages, tabs and fields.

Cons

When you have to edit in the time keeping fields and need to type in the comment the reason why, the process would work it would work better/quicker if you could type the reason for the edit in just one field for multiple days and not type in the same information for each individual day for that week.

Good Basic Software

We needed a way to automate time collection and automate leave approvals for our administrative staff that works on grants and Clockwise allowed us to do that for a reasonable price.

Pros

Easy for staff to use. Does the job of collecting time staff enters and provides neat, detailed timesheets of all time including changes and approvals.

Cons

I don't like it that leave approved on or after the actual date is not populated to the timesheets once it is approved.

Our best practice on leave has been to wait until the employee actually takes the leave, especially for future date leave approved. If the employee decided not to take the leave physically we ensure the employees leave balance remains accurate and correct. Reducing on approve my provide a balance that may not be accurate at the time of approval compared to the time of the physical leave taken. Good Value for your Dollar

Overall the value for the cost is quite good as is its technical support staff.

Pros

The software is relatively easy to use. The Technical Support staff is amazing!!!

Cons

it doesn't accurately track PTO/Vacation as it should. we therefore had to stop using it to track our PTO/Vacation

Clockwise Employee Time Tracking

Clockwise meets our need for a cost effective and easy to use employee time tracking and management system. JXT has used this software for this purpose for more than 10 years and continues to be pleased with the capabilities and results it provides.

Pros

This software includes many features, most of which we don't use. We purchased it to provide our employees an easy to use and accurate system to enter the hours they work and track those hours by job. We use the hours entered to develop payroll, for customer billing and to support audit requirements for work done on cost reimbursement jobs. It has proven a valuable tool in meeting those requirements.

Cons

I have no negative comments to make about the Clockwise features we use. I can only assume that I would also be pleased with the additional features if we used them.

Clockwise Software Review

We transitioned from outsourcing our payroll to doing inhouse payroll. Clockwise has been a good tool for our current needs. As we grow, I can see us transitioning to an integrated timekeeping/payroll system.

Pros

It is very cost effective, easy to use and train employees how to use. The customer support is outstanding. Someone is always ready and available to help.

Cons

Transition between our payroll and timekeeping system is cumbersome. Entering an employee in two systems is time consuming. Timesheet saving should be automatic.

Simple, easy, and great support

We have a dispersed employee base which at one time need time-keeping support in 7 states from Hawaii to the Virginia. Clockwise allowed us to get that function at the most cost effect price point. We are a firm that works federal contracts and the fact that Clockwise is DCAA compliant solves one of the issues with doing Cost Plus federal contracts in the future.

Pros

The simple tool and it's easy access via the web was complemented by the prompt and outstanding support received when there was a need to call the HelpDesk. Whenever I needed telephonic support, the HelpDesk representative, who was extremely knowledgeable, stayed with the issue to resolution. I have to point out that almost all of my calls revolved around me enter some data or configuration incorrectly and not because of some fault with the GHG system.

Cons

While the system is easy to use and gets great support, the only thing I wish was done a little better would be error diagnostic tools prior to having to call support. That would reduce the number of calls I would have had to make, even though the support was great once I did call.

Excellent product and great value...

Very satisfied with it and with support - very helpful when we needed features added.

Pros

Easy to use, tracks time as we need to, allowing us to break up by customer, project within customer, and project within corporate, as well as leave (holidays, vacation, sick). Also, the News feature is great to get corporate news out - not everyone checks their email, but everyone has to enter time, so they have to see the news posted first. This is a very valuable feature, which we wish were a little more robust.

Cons

The News feature could be more robust - "blows up" on us if we put too many characters in - we use this feature extensively and find it very valuable.

Good bang for the buck!

Been using Clockwise since Fall 2013. Affordable timekeeping solution and very easy to use.

Pros

Easy to setup new employees. Easy for entering hours worked. Fairly easy to run necessary reports. Tech support is awesome! They are always available, friendly and able to resolve any issues that need to be addressed. Tech support has helped with any kind of tracking of PTO, Vacation, Sick hours. Representatives is the best!!

Cons

A little limited on reports available but their customer tech support is great! Always available, friendly and able to resolve any issues that need to be addressed.

Clockwise Time Keeping Software

Clockwise has given my company the methodology and process to be organized and DCAA compliant IRT timekeeping for government contracts.

Pros

Clockwise provides the best value that I was able to find for a small startup govcon company. Their efforts towards DCAA compliance are just what we needed and the tech support, either live or through online user's manuals can't be beaten. Clockwise meets all of my needs and is scalable as I grow.

Cons

There is not much that I do not like about this product but if I had one is that some of the more complex features (e.g. link to QB Desktop) require tech support from Clockwise. However, the team at clockwise turn this "other" into a positive by being responsive, timely and knowledgeable.

Great platform for Defense Firms

Overall, very positive experience using the app/platform as a user on web, app, and supervisor. Highly recommend to other firms and find value in the pricing model and support.

Pros

Love that the platform is DCAA/DCMA audit compliant and enables small businesses to meet complex timekeeping requirements and receive a favorable audit/approved accounting system letter.

Cons

Mobile app is more focused on shift workers vice exempt employees. Likewise, does not support Supervisor view of timecards to review or approve workers time.

My day is so much easier now!

The system set up was quick and painless. Support is very prompt and responsive. This system has made my job so much easier!

Pros

Clockwise is a fairly easy to use, intuitive system. I had a brief call with the implementation team, then I was off and running! I have also found it very reliable, no glitches to speak of at all. I work for a mid-sized (300 employees) privately owned company. The system offers all the features I needed; it actually offers much more than I needed.

Cons

The user training could be beefed up some. When I find myself calling support it's usually for things I don't do often (such as creating new departments and cost codes). A detailed user guide would be helpful.

Ferociously Functional and Customizable

We are using the system to aid in government contractor compliance and payroll processing. Clockwise is help us with some fairly complicated payroll issues we have for some employees. We have not used the system to its fullest capability but are on track to put Clockwise to the test and believe it will exceed our expectations.

Pros

Cost - only pay for exactly what you need Ability to customize Meets government contract requirements Technical support is fantastic, responds quickly by phone or email or chat! Custom reports Mobile App is wonderful and helps Instruction manuals and resources

Cons

Look is a little dated Because it is so flexible, configuration can be time consuming Crosswalk between systems can be complicated
