From start we have worked with the support team and integration with our other platforms was simple. Now we can track performance of our employees, coach them on weaker areas and reward them on achievements, all these are done automatically with the system.

Pros
Performance management needs to have a purpose and that's what Performance pro is helping us to achieve in our organization. Mostly, it has helped us to integrate learning and performance so that we let our employees get coaching on tasks they have low performance on. We are also able to monetize performance and reward our employees accordingly. We are able to track our employees from check-in, tasks worked on, goal achievement, areas that need improvement and overall performance. In addition, this software has a beautiful user interface and it is easy to use as it also integrates very well with our other platforms including our accounting platform.

Cons
We have used performance pro for years and we have never been disappointed, the support team is just awesome as they worked with us from start up to now.

Employees love rewards and performance bonuses. Managers need a tool to justify these. Performance Pro will help you come up with the workflow to set goals, monitor, and quickly access the progress and results via its powerful reporting tool.

Pros
Thanks to Performance Pro most of our performance appraisals and review are have been streamlined (some modules, automated), and the reporting tool has delivered a comprehensive and consistent report (so far) for the past 2 fiscal years we're at it. The major seasons in the year we use this is during the start, mid, and end of fiscal year. Our employees didn't really find it difficult to adjust to this software (coming from an internally developed app we had before). Among the features they loved is the fact that it allows the employees and managers to add goals, notes, and ratings are easy to input. Our appraisals are done in a timely manner, mostly because the update of the records has been made mandatory, and easy using this software. Transparency is also key to a good reception from our employees. The review process is clearly documented and are made transparent and easy to follow just by accessing their records and accompanying documentation.

Cons
Performance issues of the application are sometimes felt by (some) employees. We have yet to narrow down the cause (whether it is due to our devices or what). The UI doesn't help too much in this aspect since it looks a bit sluggish and with an outdated design. The customer support was a little lacking, either the one assigned to our ticket wasn't knowledgeable or our issues were not really given priority and much attention.

Overall, if you are doing performance evaluations, I haven’t used a solution that was any easier Performance Pro. I can’t recommend it enough.

Pros
Doing employee evaluations is never fun, whether you are using software, or plugging the info into a word doc. That being said, every so often software comes around that makes it a little easier. Performance Pro manages to do the impossible - it makes capturing info throughout the review period simple, tracking goals a breeze, and presenting the actual evaluation a snap. Plus it spell checks everything so you don’t have to play the “write in word and then copy and paste into the program you are using game.”

Cons
Sometimes, the interface can be a little clunky - finding certain features, if you don’t use them every day, can be a little challenging. But, in all fairness, this is a relatively minor quibble.

Good Use of Workflows

I stepped into the process mid stream and was able roll out the performance management program. It did take several hours of training with Performance Pro to understand the set up. The Performance Pro representative was very accommodating and key to the success of the roll out. I found that mid stream set up changes created down stream process complications that were not fully understood and explained. Year one went ok and we will implement process changes based on the roll out experience.

Pros
This software has workflow capability that can be used during the performance review process. It does make routing of performance reviews more efficient in that it sends emails to managers and employees during each stage of the process and makes the review available for edit and review at different stages. The software is very customizable. Implementation specialist was very attentive to our needs.

Cons
The set up of the software was extremely time consuming. Understanding what each of the custom fields does and how it impacts other processes is tough. There are several administrative manuals but I found that they were not updated with the newest software features. There are standard reports but they are not customizable and the software doesn't have the capability to adhoc reports.

If you are looking for a straightforward instrument to visually manage the workflow of the tasks for your business project - it's a great one.

Pros
- customizable workflows for any kind of process - ability to add labels and epics to the tasks that make it more visual and easier to navigate - a plethora of available additional plugins for the JIRA workflows that allow doing pretty much anything with the tasks and boards

Cons
- a bit complicated for an average user (compared to Trello by the same company, Atlassian) - sometimes can be confusing when there are a couple of boards with the same tasks but one is Kanban and other is Scrum...

What is Performance Pro?

Developed in 1999, Performance Pro has become one of the longest-standing performance management applications on the market. The solution provides a way for HR professionals to evaluate the performance and competence of employees within their organizations.

Performance Pro is an all-in-one solution that includes the features HR departments need to administer detailed employee evaluations. Using Performance Pro, HR professionals are able to automate employee appraisals. The cloud-based application includes features that include everything from ongoing check-ins to standard appraisals. Although Performance Pro comes standard with pre-built templates for specific job titles, these templates can be modified by an administrator at any time. With the multiple appraiser module, HR professionals also have the ability to authorize up to 20 individuals to provide independent feedback or ratings of employees. These ratings can then be weighted and be used in 360-degree evaluations.


Who is Performance Pro For?

Performance Pro is a turnkey, scalable solution that can be used by organizations in virtually any industry. (The cloud-based platform includes content that is specific to a dozen different industries.) Although organizations of all sizes can benefit from using the features that Performance Pro provides, the solution is ideal for businesses with between 25 and 5,000 employees.

Within the businesses that have adopted Performance Pro, the platform is most frequently used by employees working in human resources departments. Performance Pro is currently used by more than 130,000 professionals worldwide.


Main Features

Competency Evaluations

Competency evaluations allow managers to measure and track their employees based on behaviorally-anchored rating scales. Depending on the platform view a manager selects, it is possible to see side-by-side comparisons of employee ratings, based on competencies.

Performance History

The past is not forgotten when HR departments utilize Performance Pro. The application includes historical appraisals from employees’ applications. This means that past appraisals can be reviewed at any point, and comparisons can quickly be made to determine whether an employee’s efforts have improved over time.

Content Customization

Performance Pro is completely customizable. Admins are able to customize appraisal templates to ensure the factors being evaluated are those that directly impact employees based on their job titles or positions within the company. Among the customizable aspects of the Performance Pro platform are ratings scales and review forms. More than 500 goals can be customized and cascaded throughout an organization.

Employment Action Forms

HR managers using Performance Pro are able to generate employment action forms. Using the form builder feature, authorized administrators can create forms for electronic use—including tracking, routine, e-signatures, and online storage—all from within the cloud-based application.

Multiple Appraiser Module

Administrators using Performance Pro can assign up to 20 managers, peers, subordinate, and other company staffers to provide independent feedback and ratings of employees. The results of these feedback evaluations are weighted and merged into a HR professionals’ independent assessment, which is used to create comprehensive employee appraisals.


Integrations

Performance Pro integrates with ADP, PlanSource, and BambooHR. These integrations are made possible through established data APIs. Additional data integrations can also be established with any vendor application used by a participating Performance Pro client.


Pricing

Performance Pro offers a pricing guarantee, which means the company will beat any quote from another performance management vendor by 10%. Performance Pro is priced on a per employee license basis, using a tiered schedule. An annual license is required for every employee whose data is stored within a company’s Performance Pro account. The larger the client, the lower the Performance Pro licensing fee.

The first-year license cost includes full implementation, unlimited updates and upgrades, unlimited product support, and all features, except the Multiple Appraiser module. The first-year license cost drops by approximately 63% in subsequent years for renewal. The only additional costs clients can expect to incur are for the Multiple Appraiser module, which costs $16 per license in the first year and $6 per license in renewal years, along with any training, which is optional.
