I would recommend Schoology for teachers that have a good understanding of technology. The price is a bit much but it does a lot if the teachers are willing to spend the time on it.
Schoology is a very good LMS and is very versatile. I allows my teaching staff to communicate with their students on a regular basis. It also helps my teachers with parent communication. The program is also nice for students that have been absent or that are going to miss school for sports or a vacation.
The cross over from our SMS to this program is not always smooth and is a bit frustrating at times.

Schoology is an all encompassing learning management system (LMS) that allows teachers to expand the walls of the classroom beyond the school day. Students can easily log into their Schoology account and access class materials, watch embedded videos, practice skills, or respond to class discussions. Teachers can organize and create folders and build an entire course throughout the year. The interface...

I have no choice; my school district makes me use it. Yes, it allows us to post and accept work online, but many more improvements to the gradebook should have been made in the six years that this has been used by the second-largest school district in the USA. It may be better than other LMSes in certain aspects, but the gradebook sucks, as detailed above.
It's better than nothing. I have never used another complete LMS, but there HAS to be a better one when based on the gradebook, which is what teachers use the most. I also work with teachers who say they've used Canvas and it's much better. Previous to this, I used EasyGradePro and Illuminate, both of which had gradebooks that were far more customizable. I am literally writing this right now because,...
--NO SEATING CHART--should allow teachers to save pre-set comments in Resources to save time--teacher should be able to set a default to show comments to student instead of having to click the box every time they want the student to see the comment--comments should be dated--system should be able to mark empty cells missing automatically once due date has passed (regardless of grading status)--when...

Very attractive initial user interface convinces beginning administrators and teachers and parents that Schoology looks great. Ecstatic user reviews are convincing as well...except those users all appear to be first-time users whose primary reference point is Facebook. Schoology is two years old, and is attempting to leapfrog older established systems; but it is quite immature yet, and struggling...

As a professor, I interact with a lot of learning management systems. There are numerous factors to consider on the back end for schools or school districts. But when evaluating front-end user interface aspects, I think Schoology comes out on top. It is formatted as much like facebook as might be possible. The interface is intuitive and simple to navigate. Schoology would be a great choice for any...
This can be costly if you have usage appropriate to enterprise level. I would argue that you get what you pay for and it is worth it, but the cost to buy is not minor.

Schoology is easy to use and has amazing customer service.
Everything that every stakeholder in a public school needs is all in one place. It can be used by Students, Teachers, Families, Support Staff, Administration, and everyone in between!
The cost can be a deterring factor for smaller school districts.

Was an affordable LMS for my school.
The first feature I like from Schoology is that wer were able to incorporate our Student Information System to Schoology. This allowed me to pull information that was already available instead of recreating users. Second, I was able to use a Single Sign On authentication with my users so they could use an existing account instead of having another set of credentials. Third, this has a Facebook feel which is great for users because most of them are already familiar with the facebook layout, which decreased the length of time it took for them to use the product.
Schoology has a lot features available for users to utilize. Unfortunately, a lot of these features take a lot of time to learn properly. Certain environments sometimes do not work properly.

This software have almost everything you need for a class. You can contact your teachers and have discussions with the whole class. It also makes it very easy to turn in assignments.
This software can be kinda expensive, but for everything you get from it I would say it's worth it.

Schoology is a powerful learning management system that is still easy to use.
The price for the enterprise version is pricey, but the free version still packs a punch.

LMS system.
Its UI is very similar to facebook. It gives user a sense of familiarity so that working in the system comes naturally. It offers everything a LMS should such has having a gradebook with assignments, virtual quizzes/tests, ext. Users can posts annoucements/discussions and even markup documents.
The documentation markup has two different versions, one is ancient looking and is buggy. Also The API webhooks doesn't post changes when a teacher deletes a category. Lastly the API requests per second is 10 which is very low and frustrating for integrating.

While many people will love the FREE version, the greatness comes from the integrations that are built in if you decide to purchase the enterprise version.
The cost per student can be costly for smaller schools.

I have used this to teach educators how to do online assessments and teaching and it very user-friendly with lots of great features.
This software offers many features that cost extra in other Learning Management Systems. It very easy to use once you get started.
I wish they had a free rostering option.

Through Schoology it is easy to manage and design coursework for blended and personalized learning. It is designed to integrate other platforms like Google and NearPod. It can be used with students in K through 12.
At this time, I do not see any cons with this LMS platform. I was not on the panel that decided to purchase this LMS, so I cannot comment on the price for quality. I will say that I have heard the Schoology team is very receptive to suggestions for improvement.

It is a user friendly, less expensive but still robust software to use for school lessons, homework, and quizzes.
I dislike how much it looks like you are using Facebook. The layouts are extremely similar and can be hard to tell if a student is on Facebook or Schoology at first glance.

Interface kept clutter away, ease of log in, price range,
Look, feel, UX/UI, folders set-up was tedious and confusing, and no branding for free version.
