Q. What is Zoiper used for?

Zoiper is a cross-platform VoIP softphone dialer solution that supports voice and video calling along with instant messaging functionality. Available for Windows, Mac and Linux, Zoiper also offers native companion apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone, giving users the ability to conduct VoIP calls through multiple PBX (Private Branch Exchange) networks and SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) or IAX (Inter-Asterisk eXchange) providers. Voice, text or video communications are secured using TLS, SRTP and ZRTP encryption protocols, while contacts are automatically found from a variety of popular address books and arranged into searchable contact lists. Call center functionality then goes on to include features such as auto-answer, call transfer, recording, provisioning and also click-2-dial CRM integration. Zoiper also boasts the ability to call direct from within email clients or web browsers with a number of plugins and extensions across Outlook, Thunderbird, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Goldmine CRM, Lotus Organizer etc. Additional features include customizable branding, changing Zoiper's logo, colors and even interface to better match own corporate identity and user experience. The product offers access to its SDK and API to further customize the application, also enabling developers to embed its VoIP stack inside their own software. Zoiper Biz and Zoiper Biz API facilitates softphone control from any Windows application, while the WEB JavaScript API enables embed within browsers or custom web-based interfaces.
