It is everything we were looking for, and it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg. It integrates onto our Wordpress website wonderfully, and our donors love it too.

We really like the API with Double the donation for matching gifts. The most helpful thing about GiveButter is the ease of implementation.

I love that the platform allows me to sell tickets, fundraise, and manage donors. My donors did not like the prompts to tip and pay fees. I ended up mostly turning those off to avoid complaints. Overall, it's a great platform!

Great, except for the major issue I explained above that is really causing problems. If it is not fixed, we will be forced to use a separate ticketing platform.

Overall, my experience with Givebutter has been positive. It is quite comprehensive as a basic CRM. The support is top notch, and the platform is free to use, if you have their "tip" system enabled on donations (we do). Their support and product development teams are very responsive to input and suggestions for new features. For a medium-large organization, however, the software might to be used in conjunction with other software and tools in order to perform all the tasks needed.

Givebutter was a gamechanger

Christiana C.:                                         Hi, my name is Christiana. I am the associate director for Jon Lehrer Dance Company. We are a nonprofit professional dance company based in New York City, and I give Givebutter a five out of five.
                                                       When considering software to use, we looked at Network for Good, we looked at Classy and we looked at Kindful, all of which had good things to offer, but were ultimately way out of our price range and charged a pretty hefty fee annually just to use the service and that's not even including credit card transaction fees and all of that. It was also a little bit tricky platform-wise and a little less user-friendly than we'd like them to be.
                                                       We chose Givebutter because when I did a demo with a team member from Givebutter, it just looks immediately so easy, so user-friendly for both us on the organizational side, but also for customers and donors. A couple things made that obvious. One, that there's such easy integration of the donation form or donation button to our website. So rather than having to send donors to a separate place, to a third party and having to kind of field any questions about that, it was just so seamless right into our own website where our fans and supporters already go and are already familiar with.
                                                       The other part that just really sold us was how integrated the ability to cover transaction fees was in the process of donating through Givebutter. So we know that our donors want to help us out and want the entire amount of their donation to go to our organization and often don't realize that credit card transaction fees come out of our pocket and come out of that donation. So with this, it just makes it so easy for donors to see, "Oh, I can just cover this fee for the organizations I care about and they get the full benefit."
                                                       The onboarding and integrating with Givebutter was so easy for us. They reached out with a lot of communication, very friendly communication, very personal communication. Really were open to answering all of our questions and taking us through any tutorials personally over video calls or phone calls, whatever we needed. And so it made us feel really like we understood it very quickly. And since then, that's just continued. So we often get reach outs from team members at Givebutter telling us, "We're here for you. Do you have any questions? Here are some new features you might want to check out. We want to help support your organization." So getting into the system and the platform and getting really familiar with it was just a breeze.
                                                       If you are considering using Givebutter, definitely reach out to the team there. I think utilize all of their resources and all of the people there to know that you're using it to the full benefit that it has to offer. There are still things that I'm learning about Givebutter and it just gets kind of better and better every day. We're still exploring the platform as a whole and all of the assets that they have and I'm really excited to learn more about how it can benefit our organization because it's already been such a game changer for us. So definitely encourage you to learn more about Givebutter, to just open up and it costs nothing for you, so give it a try.

Givebutter: The Gift That Keeps on Giving

                                                       So we were actually using an old CRM called DonorPerfect and when we moved over to our current CRM, we still needed this additional support. And so we went and searched and the first program that actually popped up in our research was Givebutter.
                                                       So there's a couple of reasons that we chose Givebutter. The first one was because it was the simplest and easiest platform to use. The UX design is really accessible and manageable on the internet, right from your web browser. And it also offered the options to have multiple hands on the platform so that we could collaborate in real time, as we were looking to seek donations via texting. The platform allows you to do a text to donate, which is the feature that we were looking for specifically, when you're running fundraising campaigns for your organization.
                                                       Setup is like two seconds for Givebutter. It's super straightforward. They make everything really easy to set up and manage. You can be as inexperienced as a novice to an expert, and the platform makes sense to everybody. The onboarding process is really quick and you're setup, I think within five minutes of logging in. So the one thing about Givebutter that I will say is they don't currently offer any integrations with other CRM platforms. So if you're looking for just a small additional tool in a text to donate capacity, when running your yearly, or quarterly fundraising campaigns, I would recommend Givebutter simply because it's a quick solution. And if you don't have that option with your current CRM, Givebutter is definitely the way to go.
