Scheduling Jobs

In-app scheduling tools allow both in-office and offsite employees to track the progress of daily schedules and make changes on the fly. Job scheduling can be made on a one-time or recurring basis. (For example, a landscaper may see Client A every Monday, while he may see Client B just once a season.) Schedulers can assign one or more employees to each job, knowing that Jobber won’t allow for double-bookings or over-assignments.

Use the drag-and-drop scheduling grid to assign your own workforce as clients call in for service. You can check each team member’s schedule to see who is available at a specific day and time. Jobber also gives you the flexibility to schedule jobs without assigning a particular employee until a later date. The system allows for real-time updates and changes, which means your field service professionals can be re-routed and their schedules adjusted if a client cancels at the last minute.

Invoicing Customers

By integrating an invoicing and billing module into its field service management platform, Jobber has decreased the work involved in sending bills to customers. The solution offers a follow-up feature that ensures invoices never slip through the cracks, along with recurring billing options for companies that see certain customers on a regular basis.

Set up your invoicing system from within Jobber, including details like pricing schedules and invoice frequencies. Jobber sends invoices by email automatically, and the platform will let you know if there is ever a problem with delivery. When clients forget to send payments, Jobber sends automated reminders at the intervals you select. It also includes features for payment tracking and integrates with electronic payment partners including Paypal, Braintree, and Stripe.

Real-Time Routing

Time spent on the road is time that businesses can’t bill for, which is why Jobber takes its routing features seriously. The application uses route optimization to put unscheduled jobs into the best order by location, decreasing the time that professionals spend driving from jobsite to jobsite each day.

Use the drag-and-drop job ordering feature to put unscheduled jobs into a more suitable order using a digital map. You can make changes in real-time if a client reschedules or cancels an appointment. You can also add-on GPS tracking to improve operational efficiencies for your field service technicians.

Task Management

Task management is an important feature for workplace productivity. Using Jobber, field service professionals can keep tabs on what’s going on inside the office, even when they’re working on the road.

Assign tasks to your team, or yourself, making sure to include deadlines and details whenever possible. When you complete tasks in the field, your in-office staff is immediately notified. If you forget to complete a certain task, Jobber will send you an automated reminder before the task is scheduled. Calendar synchronization is another feature that ensures tasks are completed on time whenever possible.

Customizable Reports

Reports help businesses determine what they’re doing right, and what they’re doing wrong, along the path to maximizing productivity and efficiency. With Jobber, users are able to create customized reports that target virtually any aspect of their businesses.

Click on the “Management” tab to create a report for your business, making sure to select which type of report you’d like to automatically generate. Historical reports allow you to pull past data and review how your productivity or income levels have changed over time. You can also create invoicing reports, transaction reports, and even client communication logs. Reports can be exported as CSV files.

The recurring job feature makes frequent visits easy to schedule.

Cons

It would be really great if there was a better ability for employees to communicate with management through the system, such as if a note is added to a visit/job by an employee management would receive an email.

It also does our invoicing and passes data nicely to Quickbooks for great financial reporting.

Pros

Having a system that can be quickly and easily implemented and used by small business that incorporates features including integrates that addresses 'quote to cash' work flow was essential.

Cons

There are some standard reports that provide some fair data qualities but to customize reports using custom fields or job fields is quite weak. Exporting any report to Excel does not work well.

Pros

Visually it allows us to track and schedule jobs while the entire team watches and ensures there is no wasted time in our day

The Xero compatibility is simple but does not allow for specific items to be synced and we have to edit entries in Xero so we can track correctly

Fantastic and intuitive interface for managing field service teams.

We were previously using only carbon papers for all of our work order management. Now moving forward everything will be tracked and easy to manage and far easier to connect with our customers.

Pros

It also has a customer portal where the customer can view all of their quotes and invoices, as well as request new work, an awesome feature.

Cons

Lack of job costing, but you can add expenses and I've been told costing is in the plans. Would like some more features in the quote area such as optional items and attaching images to items.

Jobber is a pleasant surprise, allowed us to improve our workflow.

Features we'd like to see aside from improved routing functionality include 1) API access allowing a customized work request form and the ability to sync Jobber new leads with our phone/sms system. 2) Integrated email allowing access to client communication, view count, and the ability to send email to multiple clients based on a data tag. 3) The ability to add a calendar subscription to Jobber. 4) The ability to modify the email sent from the lead web form. 5) Auto-payment for fixed price monthly billing eliminating client intervention each month. 6) The option to auto-generate batch invoicing for monthly invoices that don't change.

Pros

It is well designed and offers combined CRM, reporting, scheduling, estimating, invoicing, routing, and client portal functionality.

Cons

Not many cons, a daily route once optimized doesn't carry forward to the following scheduled visits. This requires selecting which job you'd like to start at (in our case each week). The master route functionality applies to the full client roster.

Pros

Tells you to do an invoice once job is put on the system. Easy access to reports that contain all the vital information required for working with the public in the lawn treatment business.

Cons

Would like the option of more email templates other than quotes, client reminders and invoices. However knowing team at jobber that will come soon hopefully.

We love Jobber But.......

Its been going on 4 years now and still no resolve on the notifications issue.

Pros

The way it organises our daily processes. Without it we would just be another business

Cons

Forms are lacking for our pest control industry.

We use jobber daily to quote, schedule and invoice our jobs.

We are able to better manage our customer relations, invoicing, and employee work management by using this software.

Pros

I like how we can combine our communication with customers and employees into one software. I think it has a lot of potential for us as we expand to use with our customers. I like the ability for us to take cc and sync job requests on our website.

Cons

Time punches cannot be made from tasks so it is difficult to track work directly related to the work and requires more steps in the process.

Wonderful Application

Jobber is simple and combines scheduling, job reporting, and invoicing all in one.

Pros

Internet based so it can be accessed you anywhere.

Cons

I put this is the cons because it is a con but I'm not sure any other service industry system could make inputting customers and creating jobs much easier.

It is very easy to use and integrates well with QB.

Pros

CRM features . QB integration. Responsiveness of Jobber team.

Cons

Sales Rep field input does not flow from Quote to Job to Invoice. Refunds can not be processed through Jobber.

Provides me with the neccessary tools I need in my everyday tasks.

Pros

I really enjoyed the ability to access documents digitally pertaining to the job anywhere you go.

Cons

The app does not give you all of the functions the website does. The UI could be improved on.

This software has been very helpful in managing my mobile company!

Pros

Simple software Mobile app that allows to generate invoices in field and accept payment on CC Responsive customer service Affordable when compared to others

Cons

Limited integrations However I have heard of an open API in the works
