I started working at our family business in January of 2015. I was going to assist the ladies in the office and learn how to do their work, so when they were out sick or on vacation, their work would continue to be completed and they wouldn't be bombarded when they returned to their office. Well, after three months of working three days a week, I took over the management of the office and both ladies...

It brought us into the 21st century regarding our scheduling and employee management.
Simple to upload photos, documents, and audio files to supplement records. Frequent updates with new, easily utilizable features shows that the company is always striving to improve their product. Customer service is excellent. Employees generally have a good sense of humour and are client-oriented.
Cost to integrate with QuickBooks (high price for smaller businesses) versus cost of time spent to duplicate invoices in both programs w/out integration (and the maddening redundancy). Would be great if we could directly import associated files when transitioning from a past inspection to a scheduled job instead of uploading the files all again for the job.

We used ServiceTrade for over 6 years for all aspects of our fire alarm business. It was a great software at the beginning. That being said, they have made too many updates that were not properly tested, and the end result is a software that just doesn't work anymore. They are no longer a high quality product, but continue to charge as if they were. If you use ServiceTrade for all of your business's processes- installation, work order tracking, recurring service work, invoicing, profitability tracking, timecards, inventory management- you will be extremely disappointed in the result.
This software is user friendly. Your field staff will like the UI- either through the cell phone or a tablet. Very customer friendly. Automated emails with custom links is terrific. Overall their product looks great on the surface, and the presentation is top notch.
This software is EXPENSIVE. There are much more cost efficient alternatives that perform just as well. Major updates are frequently rolled out without notice, and have a huge impact on your processes. Each update results in more bugs, and have a cumulative negative result on the performance of the software. Updates also effect the app, so field staff are constantly having issues, and have to delete/reinstall...
Hi Paul, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We appreciate feedback from our customers as it helps our product improve and influences the new products and features we release. If you ever run into any bugs, I encourage you to submit a support ticket, so it can be addressed immediately. Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback! - Mary Clayton Shearer

Before using ServiceTrade we were using emailing of PDF forms on iPads to manage all our of jobs. Having ServiceTrade took our business to a whole new level and allowed us to expand into multiple offices.
ServiceTrade has a great product that is intuitive to use. Since we subscribed 4 years ago they have continued to expand on the capabilities with updates to the software every 2-4 weeks. They are very responsive to requests for features and the customer support is super friendly and helpful. They integrate with key software companies to expand their functionality (like Intacct and Quickbooks) and they have a great API and integration with Zapier.
I hope they can continue to accelerate the addition of new features. There are a lot of companies out there trying to solve the same problems. I haven't seen anyone providing better value yet but I hope ServiceTrade stays ahead of the competition because whoever has the best software to manage their business will hold a significant advantage int he marketplace and we would like to stay with ServiceTrade. Switching software is a pain!

Overall Experience as been Good to Great.
Service Trade is a valuable tool to help manage our business from intake to invoicing.
I would like to see all the add on features (Parts Ledger & Timecard) to be accessed through the main software website/Mobil app. We also need affordable solutions to integrate with other 3rd party Facility Management Software's. (Service Channel, Corrigo, Simple FM, Ecotrak).

I continue to be able to get quotes out faster than my customers have a chance to bid out the work. So the deficiencies I find, I typically end up conducting repairs for. Customers want solutions now... this app allows that
This software does it all. If you are looking to cut operations cost, as far as tracking job completion, deficiencies and scheduling, you will love this software. As far as I'm concerned, it's unmatched, and I've been in my profession for over 15 years, with big companies, who waste lots of time and money attempting to create similar tools which aren't incrementally close. Real rime deficiency quoting destroys competition who don't use this application.
From a user standpoint, there are many options only available from the web version which I think could be useful to technicians who use the mobile version. The number one thing for me would be the ability to schedule jobs from the mobile app which then can be integrated into the calendar on the mobile device. This to me is the only thing I would change.

It's too expensive and too focused to be the best solution for us. But, I don't want to switch again so we're sticking with it, for now.
It's great for creating and dispatching service jobs.
It's too restrictive for any work other than service work, and it's too expensive to only be one of multiple solutions, so we have to use it for everything and find workarounds

Tracking past present and future jobs is critical to our company. This helps us stay better organized.
Being able to Tracy past present and future jobs and the notes and paperwork that are attached to those jobs. I am constantly using previous reports and notes from each customer to inspect and troubleshoot.
The cost of retrofitting our inspection forms into service trade forms. With how expensive this app is that is something that should be included not an up charge. There are a lot of feature we could use that Service trade offers but they are too expensive of upgrades. The app also freezes and glitches a lot on tablet mode. I cannot have the customers sign the work acknowledgment because it is not compatible with windows computers and then is too small of a box on my iPhone.

ST has helped our start up company manage our quick growth. We would not be providing a great overall customer experience with it.
This software was created and is organized by people in the service industry. This is huge for me. They think like we do.
When we were sold this product, one of the really great selling features was the Chat Help. You have since downgraded this to an email tech support. (but cost stayed the same). As a result, there is an increased lag in response and no 2-way conversation. Just like the rest of your competition.
Timothy, great minds think alike, especially when we share the same goal of growing service businesses. Thanks for taking the time to send us a review! Calling our support team directly is a great way to get a more immediate response and a quicker 2-way conversation. Thanks again.

Our folks really like it. Its a good service/work order platform
The ease of use and the amount of data it can handle
The cost for additional things it does is expensive. Time card, forms, etc.

There are several benefits our company gets from this software. It stores our jobs and details, our technicians use it to track where they are to go. We store special notes and comments that helps with invoicing. It helps the executives with gross profits margins. We track parts and labor hours and job details.
Easy to navigate around the software. I can search for customers using different variations of the name of business and/or the address of the location.
The only thing that I do not care for to much is the tagging feature. If one job is tagged that tag sticks to customer each time a job is set. I.E a customer may be tagged to have a PO for a specific job and maybe the next doesn't need a PO because it was under the dollar value. The PO tag sticks to that customer each time insinuating that the job needs a PO when it not necessarily the case.

Constantly updating and improving. Serious about this buisness and about growing it long term. Bearded briefing is helpful and is looking out for our interests. The conference was great I didn't attend but my people said it was worth while.
Price. Need to better accommodate larger projects (large number of tasks and several thousand hours). Would love to include a crm software not for intergration but part of the platform. Sales force?

I know it looks like I went through the review and marked 5 stars on everything but I assure you it was intentional. The Service Trade software as allowed us to streamline our operations, consolidate mission critical operating systems and add bottom line line revenue. We've tried many platforms similar to Service Trade only to see each produce nothing but headaches and wasted money. The Service Trade...
- Efficient - Extremely Customer Friendly - Marketable - Ease of Use - Constantly Evolving with Valuable Features - Short Learning Curve for Field Personal - Ability to Integrate Other Software Platforms - Cost of Entry is Low
No Cons really, if we ever have an issue the support team jumps all over it.

I love the fact that I can bill in less than 24 hour after job completion. This App also helps keep track of location of all techs, which helps cut cost for emergency service.
Periodically it does kick me out of the app and reboots the app. It is an inconvenience when training

very smooth flow from quote to field
It was easy to pick up for my sales team and field techs. The amount of data we can now input into each inspection and service is a great tool. Having that job history at out fingertips in the office or field is such a value to us and the customer.
The service dashboard could use better more specific filters. All history is retained so it is impossible to remove any quotes or jobs that may be started erroneously.

The seamless integration with Sage Intacct by leveraging the dimensions for great reporting and insight.

I have had this system for almost 4 years and found when we had selected it that is had the features we needed at the most economical cost. As we have expanded as a company the use of Service trade features has expanded and our customers think the service link feature is the tremendous device for use. The support from the home office for Service trade is excellent and very helpful. It's a great fit for us.
Ease of use and not the ability for our technicians to see what work has occurred and being able to send service link to customers showing the work what was done and the photos of the work.

The free trial allowed me to test it with our techs and see how they responded. It also integrated with Quickbooks Online which was nice.
For the price they want after sign up there are other softwares that were better. There is a lot of potential but there still is a lack of consistent features and it was a struggle to get used to using

This software makes our feild work go much smoother. It's great for electrical contractors and allows us to streamline our feild work.
The only think I'm not a huge fan about with this software is the price. I believe it could be a bit cheaper.

I love the ease of use for our office staff and especially our service staff. Service Trade has made service documentation effortless. The gorgeous user interface makes the system enjoyable to use. Our customers absolutely love the customer portal and how thorough the information is. Keeping their compliance paperwork all in the same spot with quick access to it creates value for them!

I like how it tracks the man hours as well as all the items/services that our team offers and bills out. It is simple to breakdown and find information.
I think some improvement could be made with ease of use in the online mgmt pages. I would personally like to easily access invoices and current jobs in how items and services re wracking up to see the value of bills.

This software was very user friendly. I loved the ability to generate a quote on my phone and send it directly to the customer, without the concern that it would look weird or unprofessional. I also liked the ability to schedule directly from my phone.
The only downside to the software was the cost. However, once my business grows, I will likely not see the cost as a con either.

The company is very inflexible. We had a couple of very reasonable request during the evaluation phase that the company dismissed out of hand. The final issue that caused us to look elsewhere is that they insisted that we pay full price for the software during the three month implementation phase when we are not getting any value from the solution.
Software makes it easy to covert opportunities identified in the field to customer quotes.
Integrations with accounting software is inadequate
