This software is good, if you feel the need to track employees. You can see what they are doing and when they are doing it.
Desktime is easy to use. It's easy to onboard new people, assign them to teams, and track usage. The dashboard is sleek, informative, and easy to read. I like that we're able to see at a glance what all team members are doing at any moment in time. The implementation for new hires is very quick, just a name, an email, and a team to assign them to is all that's necessary. I do like the reporting structure; I can see what sites someone is visiting and code them appropriately (productive, not productive, or neutral).
It is a pricy system. I haven't compared to other time tracking software, but for us (a company with 35 tracked employees), it's fairly expensive. There have been several issues lately with their reporting of proper time worked/productivity, which took awhile to resolve. Another major issue is that reporting is vast, but difficult to pull what you need. For instance, I have hybrid employees and it is a major hassle to extract the data based on remote or in-office days.

This software gave me the tools I needed to make sure employees are doing as they should. I am certain the cost I pay for the software will be more than made up for in produtivity.
This software gives you great tools to EASILY make sure your staff is doing what they should.
Not much. There are always ways that every software could be better and this is no exception. They do seem to be committed to improving things over time.

We're a small web design and development company here in Taiwan with about 10-15 person. We use Desktime on our daily work to track the productivity of our colleagues, though it is not used as a key for employee's evaluation, but it is definitely a tool to help our company boost their attention, which also comes with a good healthy competition, and we will award the best employee of the month thru...
Some features such as project controls, site controls, groups, etc.
The price and app stability I guess

Using desktime we are able to know what the team is doing from the user level, how much work is being done on a daily basis, and where we are lacking in allocation and strategy. It gives us transparency and clarity which is very good in setting standards and maintaining production.
* Easy to implement * Easy to maintain * Interface is very good and the way data is displayed is excellent * Automated screenshots every 3 mins is a very good feature
* Email Notifications need to be customizable * Notification for when a user is idle for more than a set time is a must for large organizations * And more testing before releasing new updates as I have experienced issues with screenshots previously.

I work from home for more than 3 years now. I am not self-employes, so I wanted to make sure that I am at my desk for the time I promised and that I am working productively. This tool does exactly that. In addition, finally it has easy way of adding time to projects. I would use this to calculate how much time I spend on extra projects not directly related to my daily tasks.
It really helps me to understand did I work 8 hours today and was I not wasting time on Facebook or other things. I like the green design. It makes me tune in positive and productive.
I would like an extended possibility to add programms, headers, meetings from outlook automatically to projects. So like marking apps as productive or unproductive, there might be option to mark them as belonging to specific project. And I would also like to have a slightly cheaper plan as even though I belong to a company I have installed and pay for this alone and use it for my home office purpose only.

We're able to monitor and measure trends within our workforce. This allows us to deploy different tactics and improve time management.
The fact the product doesn't affect the computer's performance. We've installed in more than 200 computers, and all of them run smoothly.
The fact we're unable to have screenshots taken for the price we pay for.

It's a fairly accurate measurement and shows my time and project productivity during busy work. Users can check their productivity while working on various projects without having to make a separate selection.
No special setup is required. That's it. It provides some additional features, but it is a cost that is reluctant to incur additional costs. Even now, it seems expensive for its features. Among the exercise apps, STRAVA makes an effort to communicate with various data and customers. Change the design you want to buy with more beautiful and effective data and features. Arouse curiosity.
I want you to think about UI design and color selection for the same programs. Green has a lot of nice coverage too. Otherwise, the current green color may decrease the value of Desktime. The overall homepage interface and S/W UI need to be improved. I want it to look plausible when I introduce it to others. The charts are also not that professional. Today's productivity week, month can be selected, but the data that accumulates Don't have an idea to show your users effectively?

All good
Hello There, We are a very old customer for Desktime. All the features are very pretty and impressive.
Just need to focused two things only. (1) We have found in ipv6 network desk time will not work. (2) Our monthly billing price needs to reconsider as we are using it from long time back also.

Overall, for the cost, you won't find a better product. Would recommend!
The product is easy to administrate, implement, and monitor. Classification and department groupings are easy to manage and granularly control.
The easy subversion of idle tracking and app activity reporting makes this a less useful tool when dealing with non-compliant employees. Though we realize this is a personnel issue at the root, we'd appreciate if this was made harder by the product development team.

Mostly positive.
I love the insights into how my time is distributed across applications and websites. I definitely use it passively, but occasionally I check in to see how my time breaks down. I just let it run in the background and check the dashboards for fun. Once upon a time, I pitched it to the leadership at an organization where I worked, but it was early in the product's maturity so that didn't pan out. I'm a longtime fan and I'm pleased with how the feature set has evolved.
I believe the pricing structure is misaligned with customer segments. This is more relevant to corporations than to individuals. It's a nice to have for me, but I can live without it if I must pay. This would fall into the category of something that should be extended to workers for free, but at a cost to organizations with two or more users. Extend more features to single license accounts.

Its really a wonderful experience overall. Initially was feeling lil uneasy to adapt the same. But slowly and gradually it seemed to be very useful and equally helpful to have a regular monitoring and keeping a track of daily activity.
The tracking system ease the monitoring and evaluation of an employee working even remotely. It can be quickly installed, easy to use, perfect time tracking. not much effort is required. And I can have a view on my as well as team performance together at one place.
The load is really heavy, it cant get operated with low internet frequency.

Very happy with the system especially during the start of pandemic when all staff had to WFH. It is a good tracker on their performance and productivity.
Transparency, Flexibility (being able to set which sites are productive/unproductive), screenshots. Ranking on staff who is most efficient and productive.
Quite expensive if you only need for short period.

We are able to track employees activity and differentiate between productive and non-productive activities.
Easy to manage and educate employees about its usage.
More productive features must be added. Employees non-productive and productive hours must be accurately monitored. During low network connectivity it should still be able to work and keep track of employees.

I can easily calculate working hours of my employees
I am in charge of my own working hours, and due to switching rooms for different meeting, I am not always at my desk. Only my supervisor can approve/decline my offline time, however in our company that is not possible, nor it is in his interest to lose value time to checking my hours. It was possible until recently, however I was inform by Desktime CS that the option is removed.

Overall, we've been testing it for the last 4 months, and indeed it's proven itself to be quite useful, especially for the price.
The time tracking feature is something we've been looking for for quite some time, especially taking into consideration the pandemic. We needed a software that will allow us to estimate how much time an agent spends on solving a case on average, so they will be remunerated accordingly. The integration process was fairly easy and it only took a 15-minute presentation to show the team how it works.
The only thing I would say I least like about the software is the fact that some of our agents still experience glitches, if the app is left running in the background overnight. When you start working the next day, it may not register the working time, so we've decided to turn it off after work, and back on the following day. The problem wasn't investigated thoroughly, so I can't say if it's an issue on the app's side, or it has to do with the OS/hardware compatibility.

Overall, team is adapted with this tool and able to use it effectively because of its user-friendly in its usage. But would like see more value out of the Desktime in the future.
We use Desktime for Employee App productivity tracking by monitoring the time and it is quite useful so far for us.
We would like to see an easy way to automatically track the hours on the Project & Operational tasks (billable) that each team is performing versus non-operational tasks (non-billable) instead of app level.

Very positive experience - easy to set up, easy to use, and allows me to track employees' work progress without being intrusive, especially during COVID when staff is working remotely. Gives me a sense of what is going on with my staff (through screenshots), without nagging them.
How easy it was to set up and use. And affordable even for small businesses.
Not really. There are features I don't need to use, but they don't interfere with the ones I do use.

It was a great experience to use Desktime. This is the first time we're using any employee tracking software. But the first impression is good.
With desk time, we now know who's working and who is not. Based on this we can distribute works to free staffs.
I think the price is a bit high. When adding more and more staffs, price going very high. It would be great if desktime adds volume discounts.

It has helped me analyze where I'm spending most of my day and allowed me to offload some of the non-revenue generating tasks and allowed me to focus more of my time on what is driving the business forward and growing our revenue - tasks that are more closely tied to my role in the company.
I love that it tracks all of the applications, online sites, and even has the ability to take snapshots. I love that I can toggle a social media site from unproductive to productive or vice-versa if managing those items is part of my responsibilities.
I haven't tried rolling out to others yet, so I'm not sure what reporting and analytics I can get on the rest of my team, but I really do value the information I've gathered about my own habits and unknown "time-wasters."

I have tried more than 4-5 time tracking software. However, Desktime has a low failure rate. Another best this about this product is to enable/disable modules for each account.
The UI color palette could have been better. That doesn't matter much, though.
