My best friend in projects

As a small business with only a handful of clients, it's vitally important for me to know how much time I'm actually spending on a project. I've tried various time-tracking tools and My Hours is, by far, the best value of the bunch: Just the right amount of functionality without too many complications, and at a fair cost. I've recommended it to others on several occasions.

Great lightweight utility for tracking time

The user experience is great! Simple to use, delivers what it offers. The freemium is great and for many more than enough. Also good to organise yoour time and keep track of what you've been doing during the week. Good to follow up with the customers and say this is what's been done this week/month.

Keeping track of working hours has never been so easy!

As a self employed consultant, one of the hardest things to do is accurately track hours and projects for my clients. Or at least it was until I started using My Hours. Very easy to set up and easier to use, it makes one of the more burdensome tasks a snap. I cannot do my job without it.

An absolutely essential tool as a consultant 

Very smooth, some updates have been done the last couple of months that have improved stability. Now it does exactly what I need. Free plan is perfect for me as a 1 man company.

I looked at several free apps and tried a few. This one was so easy to get up and running. And to customize to suit your needs is a plus. Free version is just right for my needs.

The free version is easy to navigate and lets me track all my hours and export them into an attractive, well organized spreadsheet. 

Even the free version is excellent 

The customer support is great - whether it is the forms and resources of the live chat.  Also the general setup, features, details is awesome and I would be totally lost without it. 

A fantastic option for SMB and soloprenuers

Overall, my team has appreciated the move to MyHours. They are able to track their time on the fly from the mobile app or from their desktops. Knowing we are accurately charging for our time is critical to a business that trades time for money!

Very userfull tool for time tracking with great reports

The software is easy to understand. I use it daily to track my time and manage my projects to give my clients an accurate breakdown of the time spent in order to reflect the fair monetary value at the end of the month.

By implementing various techniques and utilizing time management tools, I've been able to prioritize tasks, set achievable goals, and maintain a better balance between work and personal life.

Simple to use, for a task that should be simple

Our old time recording system ceased to be supported so we had to find a new one.  We looked at lots of alternatives and ran a new one for almost a year but it was dreadful.  Lots of systems want to manage your whole practice rather than just log time so finding My Hours was a real relief.  We run it alongside Xero and our CRM both of which we didn’t want to change.  Apart from niggles as above this has been a great system for us.

Some very good bits & 1 or 2 niggles

I work at a healthcare non-profit that also has a for-profit subsidiary that is similar to an agency managing other clients. A few years ago, we implemented a new timesheet system that required us to report hours on each client. I use My Hours every single day to track the time I spend on different clients/projects so that I can accurately fill out my timesheet twice a month. We have to submit our timesheet a few days before the pay period ends (i.e. submit July 30th on July 26th), so I have to guess how much time I'm going to spend on each client over those few days (I use an excel spreadsheet to estimate this). After submitting my timesheet, I use My Hours to track the actual time spent and then reconcile it on the next timesheet. It's exhausting, but this software makes it SO much easier, and I am very grateful that the features I need are free to use. Also customer support is very helpful if you have any questions. Helpful for Tracking Time on Multiple Clients

It is amazing how it works for me, I was giving justification for the description of my tasks which was a headache at the end of the month, and tracking each day was pressure with Myhours it is very easy now the description is already there and I am a click far from my whole month report to submit and my payments.

For more information, click below. Before I went to My Hours, I was using Wave Accounting. I was looking at using it as a general ledger. I had a number of clients and it was good, I used it for years, but it got to be a bit too cumbersome. There was more to it than I needed, more power about it than I needed, and I needed something simpler, much easier to use, and much more portable. That's one of the reasons I looked to be switching from Wave Accounting.
                                                       Well, I did a Capterra search on timekeeping. I needed a quick and easy method. I liked the pricing. I had a demo, I started using it and I liked it. This is an easy to use software and it gets better. One of the nice things was that I kept on asking for this and that feature enhancements and they would make them. I had to wait a little bit but they eventually made them, so it's just gotten better. It's easy to use and it gives me the control of my day that I didn't have before.
                                                       On a scale of one to five, as far as how easy was it to integrate this into my business, I'd give it a five. It was very simple to follow, any questions I had were quickly answered, and it's very intuitive, easy to set up clients, easy to set up projects, easy to set up tasks and billing. For example, I have one client where I bill them one rate for one kind of task that I do for them and then another rate for another kind of task I do for them, so easy to set up and then follow-up and they liked it because they could see it in the report.
                                                       I would definitely say that if you are trying to manage your time and figure out where you spent your hours, this is a great program. You could do it with an Excel spreadsheet, you can do it with just jotting ... I was doing it ... I have post-it notes, all right? They were all over the place and I kept on losing them. Stop that. This is a great and simple and very reasonably priced platform for you to manage your time better and to keep track of where you spent your time and be able to bill for it.

                                                       Before I started using My Hours, I was not tracking time for myself, but needed to add that to my day to day routine. That's when I found My Hours and implemented it into my work life. I chose to use My Hours both because it was a free tool that I could customize a little bit for my workflow, and also because a colleague had recommended it and really liked the features that were available. So that's why I chose to use My Hours for my daily time tracking. Getting started with My Hours was super easy. It's really easy to set up a profile and create different projects so you can track time to different projects that you're working on.
                                                       If you are considering getting My Hours, I totally recommend it. It's a really easy tool to use. It would be easy to implement with a team. And for personal time tracking, it's just the easiest thing that I've added into my day.
