Even extreme complex sales compensation plans are simplified via Xactly.

It has been a hard effort to build and maintain the system. We used Express before which was preintegrated with SFDC. With Incent you have to start over. Half our plans we cannot build out in the system.

Pros

Sales comp calcs not in excel.

Cons

Hard to integrate with CRM and HRIS systems.

Bookings data flows from SFDC into Xactly and provides us real time data to manage sales compensation.

Cons

Some reports are easier to use than others; the data is there but sometimes it is more difficult to get to without extra effort.

Pros

We switched to Xactly from manual spreadsheets and it has greatly improved our visibility on our commission report. No need to wait for our support team to send us excel files that we forward on to our team.

The interface take time to load and there's been a few instances when the data is not available.

The automation of the calculation process and the ability for the sales team to review their calculations.

Pros

The ability to load in our sales data and have the calculations completed in minutes each month has cut down on the manual time it takes to calculate commissions.

Cons

There are a number of different plans, rules, tables, etc that you have to setup for the calculation to work and then if you need to make adjustments you have to track back through all of these in order to understand what to change.

Xactly has a nice appearance and once we educate our sales members it is easier for them to follow.

Pros

I think that Xactly has a great look and for the standard commission practices it does well, it is highly valuable.

Cons

Xactly Analytics is a challenge because although it is part of the package, if all my commission data is in Incent, it should be easier to report off of it and it is not.

Pros

Xactly has enabled us to reduce commission processing time AND decrease the number of errors. The sales users not only love the increased confidence in their payments, but they also love Xactly's easy to use interface!

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve to learn the software as an administrator, but once you have mastered Xactly the incentive compensation management possibilities are endless.
