Forumbee overview

Forumbee is a cloud-based community forum creation solution which allows users to create public, private, hidden, and restricted-access forums for Q&As, discussion, feedback and idea generation, knowledgebase articles, and more. Forums are ad-free, independent of social networks, and can be customized with a built-in theme or users’ own branding, logos, and message.

Forumbee includes a range of moderation tools, giving users control over the content posted in their community and the ability to manage, suspend, and ban those who break community rules. Activity streams can be monitored in real time across the community, enabling users to identify new topics and comments which require their input or attention. Topics and posts can be filtered and sorted, either across the community as a whole or in specific forums, allowing users to find topics with no replies, unanswered questions, and feedback that has not been given a status. Posts can also be searched for with a full text search, and results narrowed down by post type, forum, or post status. Important topics or comments can be pinned or highlighted to be featured at the top of the forum or post, and users can also mark individual comments as the official response to a question or topic. Spam, inappropriate, or duplicate comments or posts can be removed, discussions can be closed to prevent further comments, and moderators can also restore any posts which were mistakenly deleted.

Forumbee also includes customizable user profiles, member activity tracking, user management tools, email notifications, support for embedded images and video as well as file attachments in multiple formats, and more.

We use forumbee for our Community as a Church as an alternative to social media sites. Its more organized and targeted for discussions and questions asked by the parishioners. It has created a private space where people can post about relevant topics. I'm not sure if anyone else has considered using a forum style software for something like a Parish But it has brought us together (especially the younger crowd) in a whole new way. Get creative with it!

Everything. We tried multiple forum providers including Plush, Mobilize, Facebook Groups, and Vanilla Forums. All for different reasons, none of these guys were able to meet our needs. Alexia and her team are a pleasure to work with and are super responsive. The pricing is modest compared to other platforms that might have more bells and whistles which may, or may not get used. Professionally-designed themes are built in, and users can select from these with the ability to change the color palette, or apply their own styles by adding custom CSS.

User activity can be monitored in real time, and moderators can control content, close discussions, remove inappropriate, duplicate, or spam posts, and more.

Posts can be sorted by the most views, likes, or replies, and users can also filter topics with no replies, unanswered questions, and feedback with no status.
