Memosource is extremely fast and easy to use, with a straightforward interface. I'm a freelance translator and I've been using it for a while now for a new client of mine - and now wish I could use it for my "old" clients as well. The possibility to work on an online platform with no need to buy an expensive tool is a huge plus to me.
I have not experienced any downsides so far.

I am very pleased that my Department switched to Memsource! Much simpler to navigate and understand than our previous tools!
Easy to use and user-friendly, compared to other leading translation tools. The transition has been smooth and easy!
Memsource does not manage updates to documents, unfortunately. This is a feature that is missing and that the development team should look at.

A robust tool that is quick to get into and offers easy team integration.
Easy to start with, Robust basic functionalities like import / export of files, TMs and TBs No downtimes recently
Some settings are not easy to find and the limitations with import-/export filetypes are hard to figure out. The MT Engine has its weaknesses. The Bugchecking is somewhat tedious e.g. no bulk dismissal of certain bug types (at least as far as I have found).

Overall I am very much satisfied with Memsource, and I have recommended it to other translators. For small LSPs or freelancers working primarily for end clients, I don't think there is a better solution out there, even for significantly more money. Best of all Memsource is exceptionally reliable and responsive to (the very few) issues that come up.
Memsource is easy to use and has a relatively low learning curve, especially as compared to other CAT tools and translation management systems. These two aspects (CAT and management) are integrated quite seamlessly, which should be a big selling point for small LSP clients. Other than that, I find the whole system to be exceptionally responsive and reliable, and the Desktop Editor to be the 'quickest' of all the CAT tools I have used. It may not have quite as many features as something like Trados, but it seems to have everything you need.
Oddly specific as this may sound, my biggest issue with Memsource is the built-in spell checker - it just isn't very good, at least in English. It responds slowly, flags words that are not misspelled, flags parts of words, and misses rather obvious misspellings. When I right-click to correct an error, the word I am looking for always seems to be at the bottom of the list of suggestions. Other than that, the integration with MT engines could be improved with respect to in-text formatting tags.
