Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

StatusCake overview
What is StatusCake?
StatusCake is a cloud-based website and infrastructure monitoring platform that has been running continuously since 2012. It brings five types of monitoring into one account, so teams do not need separate tools to watch availability, performance, certificates, domains and servers.
Uptime Monitoring: HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, DNS, SMTP, SSH and ping checks run from a global network of test locations, at intervals from five minutes on the free plan down to 30 seconds on Business plans. Confirmation testing from a second location before an alert is raised reduces false positives from transient regional faults. Maintenance windows suppress alerts during planned work.
Page Speed Monitoring: Scheduled page load tests track render performance over time, so gradual degradation is visible before it affects conversion or search performance.
SSL Monitoring: Certificate expiry, chain integrity, mixed content and configuration issues are checked automatically, with alerts well ahead of expiry. Expired certificates are one of the most common causes of avoidable downtime.
Domain Monitoring: Domain expiry and registrar records are tracked so a renewal is never missed.
Server Monitoring: An installed agent reports CPU, memory, disk and network metrics from the host itself, complementing the external checks.
Alerting and Integrations: Alerts route to email, SMS, webhooks and 15+ integrations including Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Discord, Telegram and Zapier. Escalation and team-based routing are supported, and every plan above free includes SMS credits.
Status Pages: Public status pages communicate incidents to customers, hosted by StatusCake or on your own custom domain, with branding removed on paid plans.
API and Automation: A documented REST API covers every object in the product, so monitors can be created, updated and removed programmatically. Teams managing large or frequently changing estates can provision monitoring as part of their deployment pipeline rather than by hand.
Administration: Sub-accounts and team members allow delegated access, with an audit log on Business plans and above. White-label and unbranded reporting is available for agencies and managed service providers reporting to their own clients.
Data Protection and Compliance: StatusCake is operated from the United Kingdom by TrafficCake Limited and supports customers with UK GDPR and EU GDPR obligations. Documentation is available for vendor risk and ICT third-party assessments, including for financial entities working through DORA (Regulation (EU) 2022/2554) programmes.
Who is it for? Developers, agencies, managed service providers, e-commerce and SaaS teams, and in-house IT and operations functions. Plans start free with 10 uptime monitors, and scale through Superior (100 monitors at one-minute intervals) and Business (300 monitors at 30-second intervals) to Enterprise, which adds unlimited monitors, dedicated test locations, service level agreements and account reviews.
