Truffle is an AI screening platform for small teams doing high-volume hiring. It is built for recruiters carrying a heavy req load on their own, small staffing and recruiting agencies screening for clients, and the owners, founders and GMs who run hiring themselves without a recruiter at all.

The problem it solves is volume without signal. Easy-apply and AI-written resumes mean one posting draws hundreds of candidates who look identical on paper, and phone screens do not scale. Truffle replaces the first-round phone screen with structured screening that runs on every applicant, not just the few you had time to call.

How it works:

You decide what each role is screened on: resume criteria, one-way interview questions, a talent assessment, or any combination of the three. Truffle reads every applicant against what you set and ranks them, with the evidence behind each ranking shown.

Resume screening reads every resume against your requirements and surfaces qualification gaps, rather than matching keywords. One-way video interviews let candidates record on their own time, on any device, no app to download. Talent assessments come in three types: Personality, based on validated Big Five and IPIP research, Situational Judgment Tests built around your team's real scenarios, and Environment Fit.

Use one on its own or stack all three. Truffle does not force a sequence.

What the AI does:

AI Match scores every candidate against your role criteria and shows the reasoning, criterion by criterion. AI Summaries give a short overview of strengths, gaps and alignment. Candidate Shorts compile the three most relevant moments of an interview into a 30-second reel, so you review a candidate in seconds instead of watching full recordings. Every response is transcribed, searchable and exportable. AI Check flags patterns suggesting AI assistance as a signal for better follow-up questions, never as a disqualification.

Nothing is auto-rejected. The AI surfaces evidence and explains it. Every hiring decision stays with you. Truffle does no facial analysis, no voice or tone scoring, and no emotion inference. Responses are transcribed and only the text is scored against the criteria the employer defined. Candidate responses are not used to train AI models.

How applications get in:

Each role gets a forwarding address you paste into a job board like Indeed, so applications and resumes flow in and get screened automatically. Or Truffle runs alongside the applicant tracking system you already use. It is a screening layer: it does not replace your ATS, and it does not require you to have one.

Ashby is live as a native screening integration. Greenhouse and Zoho Recruit are in active beta. Truffle also connects to Lever, Workable, Bullhorn, BambooHR, JazzHR, Breezy HR, Recruitee, Teamtailor and Workday, scoped on a 15-minute walkthrough. Pricing:

Every plan includes every AI feature, unlimited open positions and unlimited team members. Plans differ by screening volume, not by features or seats.

Starter is $49/month for 200 credits, roughly 1 to 2 roles a month. Core is $119/month, or $99 billed annually, for 600 credits, roughly 2 to 4 roles. Team is $239/month, or $199 annually, for 1,500 credits, roughly 6 to 10 roles. Scale is $599/month, or $499 annually, for 4,000 credits, roughly 15 to 25 roles. Above that, Custom is a call.

Credits come from one shared monthly pool: a resume scored by AI Match costs 1, an assessed candidate costs 2, and a completed one-way interview costs 5. You are charged only when a screening produces a result you can act on. Unused credits roll over for 12 months on Core and up, capped at three times the monthly pool. Starter is a flat pool with a hard cap and no roll-over, so a busy week never becomes a surprise bill.
