Simpplr is both a powerful tool for communicators and engaging platform for employees

Reviewed 2 years ago

Simpplr has been served as our first ever (and only) employee intranet. The team has been easy to work with to deploy upgrades and make recommendations, and the platform rarely fails to meet our needs. Whatever we dream up, the platform usually has an easy solution.

Pros

Simpplr is packed with features that make it easy to manage content and build a site architecture that works best for whatever a communicator's needs are

Cons

The most powerful tools like the premier newsletter and Leadercast video require an upgrade and additional cost. While some integrations with other SSO-apps are strong, event management and integration with google calendar could be better.

Making life Simpplr

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

The biggest draw when looking for a platform/tool was finding something that was both user friendly and customizable to our needs. Simpplr gave us exactly what we were looking for - a tool that allows us to store, build and manage internal content and knowledge, highlight office events and internal happenings, and provides an org chart capability for employees to get a full picture of our company org. Training employees on the tool is extremely low lift - the tool operates like similar social medial platforms we all use, and is extremely intuitive to the user, allowing them to easily maneuver the site to find what they are looking for.

Cons

Generally speaking, the tool checks all of the boxes on our end. I would be happy to see some more integration capabilities (i.e. pushing content to slack comes from "Simpplr" vs our intranet name which can cause some confusion) and the tool does not integrate with our PEO platform (more of a problem on their side, i believe) Justworks.

We love Simpplr

Reviewed 2 years ago

We love our intranet, and love working with Simpplr. Everyone we've interracted with has been phenomenal, and since we launched our intranet has become such a core part of our experience.

Pros

The minute we saw Simpplr during our evaluation phase for implementing an intranet, we knew Simpplr was the vendor for us. Their platform is user friendly, looks sleek, is easy to use, and just felt like us. I really love their content validation feature which allows me as an admin make sure all of the content on our intranet is up to date.

Cons

Some features require add-on pricing, I wish they were included in the base price.

Easy to use Intranet that creates a beautiful experience for users with access from any device.

Reviewed 5 years ago

We needed a way to currate the most critical information in an easy to navigate way. The powerful search functionality make it's easy to find information and the clean UI makes it visually pleasing and engaging.

Pros

I had been looking for an affordable, easy to manage and use intranet in the Salesforce app store for a long time and then there was Simpplr! It's easy for my IT team, it's easy for our content creators and it creates an engaging beautiful experience for our users. I love how we can share key content with our teams and they can have easy access to key resources, org charts and team contact info in the palm of their hands.

Cons

Our teams were a little overwhelmed with having yet another platform. As Simpplr deepens integrations this will get better. We had to establish guidelines to help our team members know when to use email, when to use Simpplr, when to use Box (although the Box.com integration is very slick!) and when to us other tools (chat, collaborations tools, etc.)

So far we are loving it!

Reviewed a year ago

We're solving for faster, easier access to internal information to help people be more productive and effective. We also want to connect employees and ensure engagement as we have primarily remote and hybrid teams. We're about 90 days out with a subset of employees and so far it's gone very well. We're looking to move the whole organization onto the platform. The cost is daunting but we're very happy with the product.

Pros

- The implementation was a lot of work but not difficult. We were told it would be easy and it was. Simpplr provided templates and best practices that saved me a lot of time. - It's easy to use and administer. Most of the features are intuitive and don't require a lot of training. - The platform looks good and is flexible. There are lots of ways to accomplish what you're trying to do.- The governance model was a big reason we chose it. We need to keep the content current and relevant. Otherwise, people won't trust and use it.- The implementation team was great to work with and the entire team has been helpful and responsive.

Cons

- The price was significantly higher than the two other platforms we evaluated.- There are a couple of features that could be improved.- Simpplr webinars showcase modules that aren't standard and are an additional purchase. I'd rather they focus on the core package everyone has and then share the "also available" features.

Great tool for the workforce of today.

Reviewed 4 years ago

Our experience has been very positive from setup deployment. We needed a tool for a distributed workforce that would help bring people and content together. We have been through ~4 quarterly updates which are always great to see with new features and little to no impact on end users.

Pros

Ease of use, analytics, search and speed at which users can be successful with the tool and end user adoption. We came from a legacy tool that was deep in terms of features but somewhat cumbersome to create and curate content. We saw low adoption, content views and distrust in the search results. With Simpplr, our users can be successful with little to no guidance. We have a greater number of content creators than ever creating valuable, meaningful content.

Cons

No real issues with the tool, this was the right tool for us as an organization. Perceptually light weight but incredibly powerful. We have had a couple of key integrations that were not available when we deployed but these have been addressed in quarterly releases since we launched.

Community Management Dream

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall, every person that I've interacted with at Simpplr has been incredibly helpful. The sales team, implementation team, and now our customer success manager all seem like they really want us to have a successful community, and are not just trying to pile additional products to up the cost.

Pros

We recently moved our large intranet over from another vendor to the Simpplr platform. What I find the most refreshing about using this platform is that I could quickly tell they put a lot of research into the features they offer. They listen to their customers and respond accordingly to their needs. The system is a breeze to use. Their auto-governance tool is also incredibly helpful in assuring that our community is not a content graveyard, which had been a problem in the past. I've only had to contact their support team a couple of times so far, but I've been really impressed with the speed of response.

Cons

Can't really complain about anything. It's been a great experience so far.
