A good solution to record expenses

Pros

• Auto-scan receipts • Multi-currencies (also supports Bitcoin) • Card transactions import • Possible to split an expense if different categories • Bulk add expenses • Multiple ways to import receipts (email, cloud storage, mobile app, web app) • Possible to add custom fields and tags in the expense form • Multi-lingual • Possible to edit the list of categories (also supports multi-level sub-categories) • Integration with Zoho Books and other third-party services • Flexible reporting

Cons

• Some import files require a pre-conversion in Excel • The list of auto-import cards is limited mostly to US issuing banks • Not possible to assign an expense to multiple reports (need of a proper accounting software for that) • In order to include expenses into the stats, these need to be included in a report and this report needs to be submitted and validated • It is not possible to add new expenses to a report that has already been validated.

Excellent value for small business

Used for both of my businesses, instant view of AR and sales to cost ratio, invoice generation, payment reminders, expense scanning and reporting for income tax, and monthly/annual reporting.

Pros

Both the expense and invoicing applications are easy to use, simple to set up, have flexible set up options, multiple sort and search options, functional email and mobile receipt automated entry, reasonable reporting, import and export functions, and responsive support.

Cons

I scan them all using auto scan, then next time I'm in I process the previous scans to categorize and modify as necessay.

Good Value for Money

We needed to move to a better expense management software (previously using googleforms) which would allow a clear audit trail of approval + direct integration into Quickbooks.

Pros

Fairly straight forward to deploy - team needed a bit of training but picked it up quickly. Best feature is that staff can see balances owed.

Cons

There is a steep learning curve and the concept of reports is a bit unclear for junior staff.

Pros

In my company it is very important to keep control of expenses, not only of what the company generates, but the administrative expense for each of the processes and documents made by the different departments.

Very simple but solid expense reporting tool but yet low investment cost to an organization!

They can then submitted completed reports with receipts attached electronically.

Pros

We really like the mobile app because it allows easy capturing of receipts and adding them to expense reports while on the road.

Cons

This would allow a person immediate supervisor to approve lets say an expense report and then once they approve it gets kicked up to Accounting review team/management for second level approval.

Pros

Having a possibility to photograph your receipts immediately when the expense occurs and then submit them to automated scanning that will pre-fill the forms is excellent.

Cons

There is still room for improvement in producing the project or client specific expense reports, for example to enable fully transparent cost reporting to clients.

One of the best Expanse management tool out there!!!!!

Overall very good expense management tool comes free for 3 users.

Pros

Very good application to manage all the expenses especially if your employees travel lot keep track on the expanses Mobile application is user friendly and easy to use, very less fields and fast processing as compared to web interface Also has currency converter feature to calculate international expanses.

Cons

Mobile application hangs or crashes sometimes while uploading large files more than 7 MB Advance management feature required.

Pros

All records are easily available online for future references and audits This way compliance, audits and general operations get automated largely and work becomes - easy, quick, paper-free, transparent and data-safe.

Cons

If there could be an added approval for invoice-less expenses separately within the report then it would serve an additional audit purpose as well.

It makes invoice processing much faster, and is a huge upgrade from the paper forms we were using.

Pros

Zoho expense is a wonderful product.

Cons

Unfortunately, they use actual humans to do the "auto scan" which is a privacy concern. Furthermore, we couldn't itemize taxes, but we found a workaround for that.

You can customize it to suit your organization's needs. Multi-level approvals, auto-approvals, custom company policy makes the tool highly suitable for any SME.

The process becomes a bit tedious as it is two-step, add an expense, add it to the report.

While I’m not in love with the latest version of the mobile app, it’s still a tool that I can’t live without when traveling.

Pros

Being able to create projects, reports and add expenses to each while on the road is fantastic. Easy report exporting makes attaching your expense report to final client cost reports a breeze.

Cons

The updated mobile app has a much less intuitive UX/UI. The previous version was much easier to navigate.
