Harnessing readily available commercial hardware platforms, devices and players, the system is compatible with Google's Chromebit and chromecast, Amazon Fire TV / Fire TV Stick and Android TV. Users can also send ScreenCloud content to Android or iOS smartphone and tablets, along with Windows and Mac computers to maximize audience outreach. All screens can then be managed remotely from any location, supported by offline functionality to keep signage playing when web connectivity drops and an auto reboot facility for continued operation after power interruptions.
