User opinions about Microsoft PowerPoint price and value

Value for money rating:

Of 145 reviews that provide robust commentary on Microsoft PowerPoint's price and value, 58% mention it in a positive light.

Some users say Microsoft PowerPoint offers good value for money due to its advanced features and robust capabilities, which are not available in free alternatives like Google Slides. Some reviewers feel that its inclusion in the Microsoft Office Suite makes it more affordable for businesses that already use other Microsoft products. Reviewers appreciate the competitive pricing and the frequent addition of new features, which enhance its utility for various professional needs. Some users report that PowerPoint's integration with other Microsoft Office tools adds significant value, making it a worthwhile investment. Users think the availability of student discounts and the option to buy activation codes at a lower price are beneficial.

However, some reviewers find the cost of PowerPoint to be high, especially compared to free alternatives like Google Slides and Prezi. They indicate that the necessity to purchase the entire Office 365 package, rather than just PowerPoint, can be a drawback for those who only need the presentation software. Some users feel that the subscription model and the ongoing costs are prohibitive, particularly for students and small businesses. Reviewers also mention that certain features are only accessible through premium subscriptions, which adds to the overall expense. Some users think that despite its high price, PowerPoint lacks significant updates and advanced image editing tools, making it less appealing compared to its competitors.

“As previously mentioned, I use PowerPoint on a very regular basis to support presentations, tradeshow related deliverables (loop booth slides, speaking decks, exhibitor kits, etc), and much more. While Google Slides is a cheaper/free version of PowerPoint, I believe there is value in spending money on the Microsoft Suite of Products to be able to have more advanced features and build more visual and robust presentations.”

Integrations rated by users

We looked at 20,797 user reviews to identify which products are mentioned as Microsoft PowerPoint integrations and how users feel about them.

Integration rating: 4.7 (83)

You can easily import charts, tables, and data from Excel into PowerPoint. This is great when you're presenting data-driven content because any updates made to the original Excel file can be reflected in your PowerPoint slides with a simple update.

The integration is important for me as my job often involves working with data. As a result I have to incorporate this spreadsheet data into my PowerPoint presentations.

While working with kids you can't rely on them remembering about "what we did last time" so keeping track of lessons in the excel tables was a great decision

It's important especially when you need to present data from Excel. It's easy to present if it's integrated into Microsoft PowerPoint.

Integration is important because it is easy to combine information from other systems into powerpoint for presentations.

To link charts, graphs or any other data visualization tool to get the idea across the room.

Integration is important because it can display nicely the things that need to be presented.

Data required to be copied as a source, as an MS product, the integration worked well.

I would use Microsoft excel to integrate graphs and calculations into Excel

Many of my presentations consist of data, so integrating with Excel is key!

This connection between Office 365 and PowerPoint is essential for me. The OneDrive connection keeps my documents safe and protected. I am able to share documents to students’ accounts easily so that they can collaborate easily on it and submit work to me as well. I can also easily give feedback, something essential to my work as a teacher. Ultimately, this part of the program allows me to teach better and my students to learn English and other topics better.

Because I use it with many of the other tools such as Microsoft Word. For instance, I use Microsoft PowerPoint to make beautiful ebook covers for Word ebooks.

Integration allows the user to connect multiple products with one user allowing for multitasking and maximum productivity.

It is important because I do not have to learn how to use other productivity programs that were not designed by Microsoft.

Integration with Microsoft 365 is very important so you can use other microsoft products such excel, word, etc.

You have to start in 365 to get an outline. So it’s essentially that heheh communicate well.

Web services: business class email, functionality for communication and document management.

Most of my projects are not isolated to PowePoint but include Word and Outlook.

This helps us add support and understandings to our slides and presentations

The works that I usually do have a scrutiny report part and another presentation, the integration of ambis for me is fundamental and very successful in this case.

It is easier sometime to edit text in Word and then cut and paste it onto a blank template

Data required to be copied as a source, as an MS product, the integration worked well.

Sometimes I like the graphics or the way text looks in PowerPoint but, not the transitions for what I’m trying to create or vise versa. So I’ll create what I want in PowerPoint and then convert it to a mp4 and upload into Canva or via versa and further add to it.

It is very important because Canva helps me edit images and videos better than Powerpoint.

Canva offers a good quality of presentations template and also varied icons and logos.

I will convert slides to pdf and share with printers so we can get handouts ready. Printing companies often require the documents be in pdf format. It's also easy to track if someone opens the email and if there are things that require signature, initialing, etc. we can get that done without having to download, convert, upload and send in an email which may or may not allow tracking.

I love that hyperlinks within Power Point continue to work when saved in Adobe Acrobat. It is helpful for people to navigate long presentations without having to scroll.
