A very impressive platform for organizing events virtually.
This is an excellent software for organizing online event which offers several benefits. Firstly, It has a mobile app which allows participants to attend the events remotely even with a low data. Secondly, enabled features for socializing and networking helps the audience to feel the sense of community virtually. Finally, managing sessions and agenda by setting reminders helps audience to plan well during the event.
Nothing much in the cons. Just adding a feature for a detailed overview of all sessions will complete the app.

It may be difficult to move away from a paper program but it's worth it to give Whova a try. No more paper, losing it or shuffling through it. Everything about the conference in my phone. Genius!
Whova was easy to use, intuitive. I appreciated seeing all the sessions available for the day, selecting which breakout sessions I wanted to go, then saving it My Agenda. I was able to see descriptions of each session and complete the survey at the end of each session right in the App.
I thought Whova has come a long way. I used it a few years ago and it was more cumbersome then and wasn't easy to use. This time (in Spring of 2023) it worked like a charm and had all the features I wish it had a few years back.

My overall experience with the Whova app is that everything you need to know about an event can be found in just the app alone. Instead of reaching out to tons of people the Whova app creates an user friendly way of communicating with other attendees and event staff. Definitely would recommend this app to be used for UID in the future and other trade shows too.
I loved that everything on the app is easy to find, like a simple tab at the bottom to lead you to where you need to go. I loved the that the app gave access to service support, resources available, and what's next on your agenda. This was very useful as I knew when and what room I needed to be in on the floor map. I enjoyed having the UID organization to be able to send out notes about the surveys and when lunches are ready.
Something to consider for further events is to maybe have a section for stuff to do where the event is being held under additional resources like hotels, restaurants, activities, parking, etc. for attendees to see. Other than just restaurants and people mentioning it in the community area.

This is great because I can get a lot of continuing education without a lot of additional expenses when I am unable to travel to the conference in person. Having the ability to download the documents for all the presentations is great as the PWN SLP Summit always has so many presentations and it is hard to choose between which to listen to.
I love that I can get some additional education online without having to travel for it. It makes it a lot easier to listen and follow along without setting transportation and hotels. Saturday online conferences are great as I can still get things done at home and watch my son as well.
Making sure those online hear the speaker all the time. It was uncertain whether the presentation was starting until someone asked about it. Sometimes I could not use the feature to mute my microphone. Not sure if that was just an issue with zoom or not.

My main issue with Whova has nothing to do with the functionality, and everything to do with the customer service. As part of a conference planning team, we used Whova, and without any prior notification, they published our app and sent an email to all of course conference attendees to join. (Thankfully, we were as our final stages of testing, so it was fine.) However, in addition to the lack of...
The functionality of uploading the event was easy to use, and from the user side, the app was easy to navigate to move between the schedule, information about specific programs, and more details about speakers.
The app came with built-in conversation starters that, as conference organizers, we had to delete. Other than that, the software was good.

I liked that the app allows engagement across virtual and in-person attendees of the conference. But, the agenda in the app did not reflect the fact that the event got off-schedule from the posted agenda. I think the app could make it easier for the event organizers to synchronize the 'facts on the ground' with the info in the app to make the experience more integrated for virtual attendees.
Made engaging with participants as a remote participant easy
still doesn't completely bridge the hybrid gap, in-person attendees did not engage with virtual people on the app to the same degree that virtual attendees engaged with each other.

Generally happy
A good app to manage communications and scheduling for an event.
I have used Whova for other events. It seems like all of the events are merged togther and it is sometimes confusing.

Whova served well in connecting librarians during the WLA conference. Thanks!
I attended the WLA virtually, and I greatly appreciated being able to participate in the conference via Zoom and interact with other participants, building a network of librarians.
I would like to have more available virtual conferences, but this could also be an issue deriving from the conference organizers (not directly related to Whova's capabilities).

I am still still having conversations with the attendees from last week. I like that all new replies are in red font so my eyes can go directly to new messages.
I could see all attendees on my cell phone. I could start conversations and fill in my professional profile for others to see and look at their profiles, interests, affiliations, interests, company name and title in the company.
I loved the App. Be nice if I can search a person or company by itself.

The app is optimized for business events (were no abstract handling is required), however, we used it successfully to manage our attendees in a small scientific conference. We loved checking in our attendees ultra-fast, posting last-minute changes and useful information in the app and share event photos. It helped a lot in creating the name badges (maybe could consider a certificate feature according to the registration category as well?). As organizers, we would prefer a bit more flexibility and one cost for all the features, however, all of our participants loved the application and we received very positive feedback from them
The QR code attendee check-in is probably the highlight of Whova's features. It checks in the attendees a matter of seconds, skipping the long lines in the registration counters. The updated version of Whova includes features that can be used directly to the event's website (e.g. Agenda webpage). Great customer service experience with online training on how to use the app.
Several features require in-app purchases and purchases per-use (e.g the paid tickets or the sponsors' features). This may be a struggle for small events (less than 500 participants) who need to have an idea of the overall cost in advance. As a customer, I would greatly appreciate the flexibility to rename and create new or delete categories in all the fields of the event content, as well as flexibility...

Hated it.
Lots of features are available. But the cons far outweigh the features.
Sponsor logo size is way too small to be viewed as a benefit to anyone considering a paid sponsorship. Registrants who want to pay by PO/check have to be entered into the platform manually as “order.” BUT, when done that way they show up as FREE tickets, completely destroying the integrity of the reporting system. Also, when I manually entered a team of 16 people from one organization, I had to...

Fantactic Tool.I would quickly propose this application for any social affair event for the ease of use and the ability to improve relationship with members and organizers. whenever we coordinate an event we use it to help with indicating the schedule, the arrangement, and the region of each and every gathering. It is so valuable in keeping us on track .
Its a Powerful Software that is designed such that its easy to use.
The desktop app could need More features.

At the Cority conference in Nashville, I was able to set my schedule for sessions that related to me and take notes at those conferences from the app. It allowed me to set up networking with others in my field. The opportunity that Whova extends for engagement between attendees is phenomenal. All attendees were able to communicate like issues with current software usage, likes, dislikes, schedule meetups,...
Whova is great for the ease of setting schedules, networking opportunities, functionality, flexibility, user friendly interface, ability to create meetups, ability to share memories through photo sharing, and the engagement opportunities with other attendees at the conference. I also like that you can still communicate with other attendees (networking opportunities) even after the conference is over.
I have used the Whova app at several Cority conferences, and I have yet to find any negative issues.

The cost of attending conferences can be staggering. Not only for registration but travel and staying at the conference. Using Whova to organize the conference allows the attendees much more freedom and ease in attending and tracking where you need to be.
Whova is a wonderful addition for any conference. I first used Whova in 2018 while attending RTUC in Las Vegas. As you can imagine, this is an enormous place with lots of things to do for a first time visitor. Whova let me organize my agenda, set up meetings and after hours get togethers, all in one place. I loved being able to look in one place to find what was coming up. This year our conference...
I don't really have any complaints. I think Whova has a very appealing look and very user friendly

I have begun to connect with like minded people and work on a Virtual Reality project to build an application for many programs.
I attended the Kaltura 2020 Connect conference in New Orleans, LA. and Whova is the first interactive application I have been introduce to at a conference. The Kaltura team kept all of the attendees engaged in every event that was going on prior to the conference and throughout the 3 days using Whova. I realized how powerful Whova was when I found myself lock in to the application day after day....
The only thing I can say disappointing about this software is that I was not exposed to it first.

The people in the chat are extremely quick to answer and provide directions. The platform is very easy to use. Our audience loved the app. Thanks for a successful event!
Since we are a non-profit and our event is sponsored it is critical that we have statistics to report to our sponsors. We have not requested the report generated from Whova yet. I hope we are able to see the number of total virtual attendees that attended the symposium rather than the number of attendees who viewed each presentation.

Trying to inform conference attendees of changes while saving time and money. Overall, going virtual for knowledge sharing and cost savings is a terrific idea.
simple to use and offers a staggering array of intricate adjustments and functionalities to meet any event requirements. I adore how simple it is to communicate with other app users.
Simple accessibility, widespread acceptability, and high connectivity were all attained. Integration was simple as well.

Several of our professional development circles have previously provided printed schedules, agendas, and course descriptions, which make for a lot of material to take home after a conference. With the Whova app, all of that information is now stored online which is so much easier for a traveler.
The Whova mobile app made it easy for me to select PD sessions, take notes, and organize my thoughts while the desktop app afforded me the opportunity to immediately download materials and snip and save images. I do appreciate that Whova emailed me a copy of all of the notes I'd taken in each of my PD sessions. I also like that the information stays on my account even after the session is over. I can still see last year's pics and notes from another PD session!
Not sure how things download from my mobile device, but the desktop app is great for saving information.

I have attended several regional or statewide society meetings this year. I found the meeting that utilized the Whova app and platform to keep attendees UpToDate on the event, to create a personalized agenda, monitor the presenters, view presentations virtually in real-time or via a recording and track exhibitor information was the best run event this year. While I am sure it was in due to the diligent work of the society leadership, Whova definitely aided in delivering a smoothly run, 4-day society meeting.
It was easy to create a personalized agenda and then quite easy within each session to see if it was live streaming. Also, the recorded sessions were easy to locate as well. During the presentation, the ability to live chat and ask questions was also very useful. I think it helped make the Q&A portion of the presentations more efficient.
Some of the community functions I did not use and felt they were a little too simplistic. There were some issues with the "recommended" people with similar interests as well. For example, my graduate degree is from Northwestern University (the University in Evanston Illinois that is part of the Big Ten), and it paired me up with a person with a degree from Northwestern College (Iowa). While the first word in the institution is the same Northwestern University and Northwestern College are not the same institution. This could be useful as an ice breaker, but I thought the purpose was to find fellow graduates from like institutions.

Great software that helps the attendees better track their event schedules and also helped people network better to build a community around the event.
It made tracking the event schedule so much easier than say a printed agenda, especially with the multiple changes I made with which breakouts I was attending. The mobile app has an excellent ease of use. I have not used other meeting and events app to compare but I will be delighted for future events that will also have this platform for its attendees.
PRE-EVENT ACCESS - This may not be a software issue but rather a matter of our company admin's event setting however, we didn't have visibility to the event on the app until the event's day of. I think there should be a pre-event setup functionality that will enable a sneak peek /summary agenda and an ability for event attendees to set up their user profile so we can prepare better in advance to prepare and network at the event. When the event is live, we don't have too much time to be setting up user profiles.

very goood. There were people I didn't want to give my number to, in order to text, and I could just tell them to message me on the app. Made it easy for compartmentalizing conversations.
Being able to message the other attendees for linking up and answering/asking questions. The Agenda was also CRITICAL. It made deciding what to attend so much easier when there were multiple options listed for the same time block.
a little glitchy. messages couldn't be copied once you sent them. The attendees search icon was not intuitively placed. the search icon was in the header field in the outer margins and gave me pause while looking for it several times. I recommend a search bar, similar to imessaging design to be more intuitive. Also I wish you made it mandatory for all attendees to fill out their State/Store location in a field that was universally "searchable" as I sometimes search ed for attendees to follow up with them or find them by where they/thier-store were located.

I did not purchase WHOVA; I was merely a conference attendee. If I were hosting a conference, I would definiteley check it out.
I attended a global virtual conference hosted by/on WHOVA. The software was easy to use, available on desktop and mobile, and had built in features that enabled virtual attendees to develop relationship before, during and after the conference. It accommodated interactive sessions (breakouts) without any technical glitches, and brought numerous speaker and panelists together again with no technical difficulties. Reliability and quality of the conferencing were impressive. WHOVA gamifies participation to help attendees get to know each other and add a fun factor too. Notifications were helpful to navigate to messages, announcements, and postings as they came in.
On mobile, I could not get to the Q&A panel to post questions. I also could not turn my video on from my iPAD.

I liked it
being able to find attendees; a HUGE help would be a filter to organize by city/state. A big help would be to have photos of all attendees. Another help would be to have city/state and not have to click on attendee name to find out if they are in my state
no photos of attendees; no filters, no info on what VA attendee was from

This app was good to have to help me interact with others at the Convention, too bad one it over its over. I wasn't able to access the information like photos after the conference had been over for a while.
I found this software very helpful in keeping up the events at the Phi Theta Kapp National Convention. There were thousands of people and so many events it was overwhelming at times. I liked how the software helps you meet others at the convention, displays photos of events and there is ecen a messaging feature.
The only drawback I had using this software was trying to find an log onto the PTK Convention in the first place. It has been a year so maybe that issue was fixed. You had to wait and get a code to join the Convention, maybe PTK could have sent the code with the confirmation emails or something.
