What is ownCloud?
ownCloud is an open source enterprise file sharing platform designed to provide users with secure access to company files and documents from any device. APIs and open architecture enable the addition of corporate branding and extension of core functionality to meet evolving company needs.
ownCloud offers a range of enterprise file management features, including link expiration, password protection, full access and anonymous sharing, and more. Two-factor authentication (2FA), ransomware protection, password policies, file firewalls, and end-to-end encryption ensure that all data is kept secure. Native mobile apps for Android and iOS allow authorized users to access files from wherever they are. Admins can log and audit a range of account-level activities including logins, file updates, and file sharing activity for compliance reporting.
Through integration with Microsoft Office Online, ONLYOFFICE, and Collabora Online, ownCloud provides collaborative editing functionality for multiple document types including presentations, spreadsheets, and text documents. Outlook integration also lets users share access to directories and files from within their email client.
