Besides the technical benefits - my most favorite thing is the outstanding customer support. In terms of property management software, BookingSync is WAY ahead of the competition when it comes to customer support.
Can't think of anything right now - my only small complaint is that sometimes the admin area is slow to load.

Ive been in the Travel business the last 20 years and since the last 10 years, I have opened up an apartment house. But having found booking sync , it really has been great. I am young and fairly fluent with Computers and checked and tested numerous booking software ( and used Kigo for over 2years). With booking sync they are fairly priced (fee is fixed, not like others charging per room per night)...
Its Affordable. Service is great. Website builder is easy to use. It works fluently and covers all aspects off rental price structures.

I started working BookingSync as a website developer and not a property manager. I have worked with many providers and their API - and I must say that BookingSync provides a very well documented API that is quite powerful and robust. Not only does their documentation make it easy to get started coding - but there is a wonderful staff on hand to help when needed. This is a rare find in the vacation rental industry - I really enjoy working with BookingSync because they are there when you need them the most!
Robust API
There are a few things in the API that could use better documentation (but it's still VERY good). I also wish there was a more basic authentication protocol.

Allows me to publish my properties on various platforms and easily manage availability.
I think the customer service is great, and anytime I've had a problem the team has ben quick and friendly to help out.
For me the cost is a bit too high, though for other users with more properties, this probably isn;t an issue.

I like most of the features from this software, but they're only for United States. I had to choose another one.
The software is basic and it's oly prepared for american market.

In conclusion, if you are ready for a real challenge specially if you manage several properties, I only manage 16 and it has been a challenge for me, I hope at the end I can come back here and update my review to say it was worth it but so far I unfortunately can't say that, I just now was with Airbnb on the phone for an hour because guests are trying to book my properties but they are getting an error...

What I like most about BookingSync is the ability to customize it (most of it) for our needs; including synchronization to other distribution channels and websites, pulling data into our backend database with their free API and using Apps such as Notifications to automate communications with our guests and owners. Plus having complete control to customize our website as we see fit is a huge benefit....
Ability to customize it for our needs. The biggest winner is the ability to customize our own website as we see fit.
Needs more documentation and a larger app section, which I know will come in time. The home owners section needs expansion, Notifications is a little confusing and needs documentation and we need more in-depth guest management (for instance fields for spouse, children, anniversaries, - more so than the one notes field).

The synchronisation of availability and pricing of your properties/listings between platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com
Once everything is configured, it works fine. However, to get you listings (properties) synchronised with Airbnb, Booking.com and others, it takes quite a bit of effort.
Their support is very slow to respond and it takes sometimes days! to resolve issues. The system is complex and it takes a lot of time to communicate with the support team (if they respond) to resolve issues. No mobile or responsive app as well. Overpriced.

Too many bugs, post 2017 no feedback from large users was considered, every bug was expensive, support was (sorry) horrible.
Back in 2015 I could get in touch with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] about all the bugs, work them out, find solutions. The website feature was great, then went down hill. Well, everything went down hill has they didn't scale properly.
This product just doesn't scale to hundreds of properties, today we use Cloudbeds, not perfect, but very happy.

automated messages/notifications one view calendar ability for guests to pay outside of airbnb or vrbo
customer service language / messaging barrier - it takes several people and tries for the BS team to understand what my issue is, is they even do understand. Sometimes I just give up... Integration with HomeAway isn't 100% and we are doing a lot more manual work Issues with software - at lot of times, either myself or my HomeAway rep notices issues with BookingSync before BookingSync notices them themselves.

The syncranization with the Online travel agencies, it s easy to read and fill the booking part, easy to share and implement by myself. Go support so far, Keep going !
There is no mobile application and you have to pay to get (ninja rental) it, the calendar doesnt appear well on other devices and of course a lower price would be better :)

We have had an absolute nightmare. The "workshops" to set us up were run by somebody who doesn't understand the basics of their own product. She went live with our properties and the nightmare began. All prices wrong (99 dollars on new years eve when should have been 399) and every other setting wrong. Guests started booking our properties in the dozens and we had to disconnect as fast as we could....
the functionality looks good but it doesn't work
the documentation and help is close the worst I have seen in 20 years of business. the translation of french into english hasn't been checked and their staff do not understand the basics of this software

Excellent as it really helped to upgrade our business, with a reasonnable cost. game changer
After long benchmark and some tests we choosed bookingsync tot manage our rentals. Solution is great and easy to use. It helped us to reach 30% more clients. It is a great software we use daily.
It can sometimes get a little slow, and few features could be optimized.

It's a lifesaver! I don't need anymore to be connected all the time to the OTA to report the bookings, my emails are sent automatically and my website can take direct bookings. Moreover, I could define complex rate rules and all the rules are synced to the OTAs.
Easy to use. Sync with Airbnb and Booking.com. The website feature is also a great addition as it allows me to retain customers and make more direct bookings.
The notification app is great but needs a few technical skills to customize the email content. The standard notifications cover my need though so I didn't have to make much change.
