Zoom for Campus

Reviewed 4 years ago

Very good experience. Intuitive to new users with enough power and flexibility for larger Webinars and advanced settings.

Pros

Flexibility in assigning licenses across users on an as needed basis. We are a smaller campus with about 3000 students, faculty , and staff using Zoom daily and the cost benefit of not having to have to own more licenses than we really need is a huge help on the budget side. It does require a little more administration effort keeping track of who needs the licenses when but Zoom interface is easy for managing the movement.

Cons

I do have concerns with the limited capacity for multiple users to have control over meeting/webinar settings. You have to be at an administrator level to make changes in someone else's Webinar settings for example. It would be nice if your co hosts had access to any Webinar they where invited into(with restrictions). We also get occasional confusion around the invitation links for panelists vs attendees vs co hosts. As the organizer yo do not have access to the text of the email they received on your behalf so troubleshooting can be tricky.

A Great Platform For All Types Of Use.

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall its a great platform to use for all types of occasions. Great functionality easy to use very few complications. You can even save the chat messages and recording to playback later on. I love Zoom it is my favorite outta all platforms of its type that I've experienced

Pros

I LOVE Zoom there is so much about this product I like. Firstly they have a free feature that allows you to have meetings naturally restrictions apply to that but its great if you have a small group and need to do short quick meetings. If you have larger groups the pricing is pretty good. I like the virtual background feature which is very easy to use and it allows you to bring personality into your video feed. I like the share functions and chat features. It really makes things so easy to use. You can give admin privileges. Choose to let people in the room, They have ability to private message people in the chat and also raise their hand if they have questions. Its great for simple chatting or training classes. A definite recommend for all types.

Cons

I dislike the codes and ID requirements it gives sometimes. When I first started using it I remember it almost seemed like you had no choice but to download the software to the computer which is okay however if you don't have alot time or space and need to get to the meeting quickly it can ve time consuming. They do have a feature now where you can join right off the computer. But to me its nor easy like Gotomeeting.

Zoom Video Webinars - The Perfect Low Cost Solution for All Your Virtual Meeting Needs.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall I feel satisfied with the features possessed by this Zoom Video Webinars application. Zoom Video Webinars are used within my agency company to hold remote meeting activities with clients for various purposes such as presentations, consultations, conducting reviews, etc. This made remote meetings a breeze, saving me and clients who might spend more time traveling if they had to meet.

Pros

UI : Zoom's user interface is very user friendly and simple. The options are well stacked and enlarged so that people can understand them. Scheduling, sharing, starting meetings is easy even if you're not a programmer. Presentation: By using zoom can easily present a certain screen or document. This is a very useful feature when teaching online or presenting the results of work.

Cons

Limits for BASIC Users: Zoom currently has a limit of 100 participants and a meeting limit of 45 minutes for Basic users, sometimes it makes it difficult because the need for meetings exceeds that time. Cloud Storage For Basic Users : Zoom does not provide any cloud storage for your recordings for Basic Users, I think zoom can do an upgrade.

There's a good reason why everyone loves Zoom

Reviewed a year ago

I, along with the rest of the world it seems, only fully began using Zoom video conferencing/meetings/webinars during 2020 when the pandemic hit and prevented or limited in-person meetings. Zoom was one of the best, easiest and most cost-effective tools to navigate online meetings and provides a lot of the tools to allow for collaborative work, even if everyone is not in the same room.

Pros

There are many options these days for video webinar/video conferencing software but Zoom is one of the originals and remains on of the best for the price.

Cons

It would be nice to have more options for the free zoom meetings, including increased length of meeting time in order to remain competitive with Google and other competitive/comparable services.

Zoom Experience as a Free User

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, I am very happy with it, but I wish that the 40 minutes limit for free users be extended or even lifted with some new features not available but it can be made available for paid users. Overall experience is great with satisfaction.

Pros

I am very pleased with Zoom as it makes life easy for me and my students and mentors to get connected anytime and anywhere. It is very easy to use some features like virtual background, filters, and low light adjustments make me look better on camera. Integrating Zoom to FB live is one of my favorites as I can be live on Facebook at the same time.

Cons

Screenshot maybe is one feature that is also critical in the development of Zoom. For instance, if I would like to capture our session, I will just use the screenshot to capture the screen for fast sharing. Normally, we take pictures at the end of every session, but on Zoom, there's no screenshot feature so I have to use my keyboard keys just to capture the moment when everyone's camera is open.

I have had Zoom Video Webinars for a long time and it has always been my first choice.

Reviewed 2 years ago

There are many meetings and conferences that my work requires, to optimize details and corroborate a long list of information, this program is created to maximize the interaction of many people regardless of distance, the options offered by this program are perfect for a dynamic conversation and effective, I can show the multimedia documents that I have at hand and analyze them immediately without any problem of viruses or spam that can be filtered, Zoom Video Webinars is one of the best tools that exists in the market as well as one of the most popular , this tells us that we will find guides on the web to train ourselves much better about the program and that each of the recipients of the call also have this program.

Pros

It is incredible how over the years this program has become more and more versatile and seeks to innovate the experiences of video calls for each of its users, I have had Zoom Video Webinars for a long time and it has always been my first choice for this type of work and maintain communication with each of the company's partners, the quality with which the images that are transmitted are seen is impressive and greatly enhances the experience of each user who seeks to share their work ideas through this great program, the The good reputation that this program has created over the years is due to the quality and skill of its technology. It is becoming easier and easier to use this program with the purpose of always being connected with friends, family and partners of our company.

Cons

One of the problems that we have found with this program is the different licenses that do not allow us to use it without inconveniences, this may be due to the fact that this constantly increases the price of the program and limits us to use the program for few occasions, on the other hand, it does not I had no idea about the limit of ministers per call, this totally annoyed us as we were in the middle of a meeting when we had to start a new video call again.

Reliability and Functionality for all Remote Meetings

Reviewed 2 years ago

Zoom has been an extremely dependable software, even with the exponential increase in demand since the start of COVID. We had used other video webinar platforms, but each either lacked in reliability or functionality. When giving information to your whole team through a digital webinar, Zoom has by far been our go-to choice.

Pros

Zoom is an extremely dependable software with an onslaught of functionality to utilize for a wide array of purposes. The price point is competitive and the value is second to none.

Cons

If there were more editing features for the audience to interact with screen-shared material, this would facilitate a need that we have had to pair a third-party company with Zoom to facilitate.

Effective Video Conferencing Solution

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, Zoom video webinars is a great meeting and video conferencing solution. It provides a great service at a pretty affordable price. The Zoom team is constantly updating and adding features to make the experience better. I have been using Zoom for just over 2 years now and it has been a very reliable service. I am a life insurance broker with a team of agents and we have mostly gone over to all Zoom meetings. Zoom makes it easy for us to meet as a whole or in individual groups, or “break out sessions.” It also allows me to conduct trainings better than before with the screen share feature. This has been a great solution for my team and me that we use daily!

Pros

The efficiency and performance of this software is great especially while multitasking and running or attending meetings. They have now added picture-in-picture while allows me to multitask and gets even more done. You can host a meeting with a large group or even break that participants in to breakout rooms without leaving the entire meeting. This helps with virtual conferences and trainings. It is very clear and ease to use even for those who are not “tech savvy.” The pricing is very reasonable given its many uses and how many participants you can have in a meeting. I use the screen share feature quite a bit as well as the white board feature. My clients seem to like seeing writing and actions in real time. There are many integrated features to make work and meetings seamless.

Cons

This is a great software, but it would be nice to no longer have time limits on sessions. Sometimes it can cut out at essential times. The only way to get around this is with the paid service. For webinars, you cannot customize the registration page which would be great to have. Occasionally, there is some lag time, however it isnt very often. Their customer service isn’t the most responsive and sometimes takes a little while to get a response back. This could also be a little bit more advanced for the iPad.

The beautiful hidden reviews/factors of a Zoom software

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have thus far taught a learner through zoom, because I'm into student tutoring. So it helps me in my business. I

Pros

It is simple, attractive, clear, and easy to use. It's purchasing price is very reasonable,as a matter of fact it only costs bundles for one to have it in my country. It is easily downloaded and installed. It is not complicated. It is live and fast. It is an amazing software application. It can be used for different purposes. It can be accessed in my country.

Cons

I like everything about this product, especially that it allows multiple customers to join during the meeting. The only thing which I think needs to implemented in it, would be to remove the time limit of the sessions. The gathering should never expire. If the host feels like trey want to stop the meeting then they will do so. Not because of the session has expired. I have realized that most of the sessions expire during crucial moments and such invites a little distraction.

A Good Video Conferencing Platform, Simple and Easy to Use

Reviewed 3 years ago

I think this service is good for what it is, but our company is looking into new platforms to have video conferences due to privacy concerns and the pricing.

Pros

I would say a major advantage to this platform is that I usually don't have connectivity issues. Granted a major part is related to your internet service however, I had significant problems with connection issues on other platforms & I still have the same internet provider. The free version was good as well, with up to 40 minutes of a free usage for a video conference. I believe it has gotten popular because of this feature, and how simple it is to set up a meeting.

Cons

One thing I dislike is that when you want to exit the meeting, you have to assign a host or else the entire meeting terminates which is quite frankly annoying. I've accidentally ended important business calls because I had to go, and it doesn't automatically assign someone else as the host. Just be wary that if you're the host but you have to leave, you need to assign someone else as the host. Another thing to be wary of is that this platform does track your information and you, as the user, have to make sure that you read their privacy concerns.

Living my business life on zoom

Reviewed 3 years ago

I’m in a good position to share the pros (& cons) as my entire business is run on zoom; my 1:1 clients, group coaching, workshops, masterclasses, Meetup networking group, live broadcasted webinars, and my team who all word remotely. The pros are many:the company has grown substantially thanks to being able to use platforms line zoom. I love that they’re fixing and tweaking (filters etc) from time...

Pros

The pros are many: everyone knows what zoom is now, so makes it easier to run my business this way. Has great filters so I can improve my lighting (alongside ring lights etc) and touch up my appearance - love this feature! Can screen share with ease which is so great in my line of work (digital marketing coach) Can integrate with other platforms (switchboard for example) so can go live on multiple platforms. Can present huge presentations. Can record sessions to share with clients / attendees which is adding value.

Cons

So much to dislike. - the worst customer service I’ve ever come across. We have multiple problems with the platform that have been plaguing us for months, and go figure - ZOOM customer service will not zoom with us to sort out the issues. Back and forth with customer service is a waste of time and fruitless. - Integrations with calendars can be extremely glitchy. - Go live function is terrible....

Zoom for Interviewing

Reviewed 4 years ago

Great Technology for a great price. This is a staple for my business now.

Pros

I originally signed up as this was the only video software that allowed me to record my meetings. There are many features that set Zoom apart. They are ahead of the technology curve and are constantly adding integrations as well as new features. A minor feature that my team loves is the auto airbrush (I forget what they call it) but it’s like auto tune for your face. It’s looks very natural.

Cons

They’ve had a few times where the whole network went down. Also, I’d like to be able to send surveys to my candidates about their experience after the call is over and I don’t see that option. And a small thing but when you split into groups there is not an option to chat with “everyone” any more only within the small group.

Zoom allowed us to connect to students in teaching during the pandemic

Pros

Zoom is the best option available in market for real time confrencing. it allows you to connect to multiple people at time. screen sharing feature allows you to present more effectively. You can even share files with it. The security controls provided to the host are amazing. he/she gets every power in his /her hand. Multi-host allows you to transfer the responsibilities to each other. Meeting add to calender makes your schedule very quickly. you dont need to look here and there for your upcoming meetings. In covid 19 it helped us to connect with students and loved ones.

Cons

i didn't like the costing of the zoom . the pricing is pretty much high. There are many a times connectivity issues while connecting to the meeting. Many a times even the password of meeting is correct ,it shows please enter correct password.

Virtual Training made Easy

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall Zoom has been a great product we use everyday for training classes. Our trainers have really mastered how to use the virtual platform through zoom and the break out groups function really sets it apart form other virtual platforms in my mind. We will continue to use it and look forward to more features on it in the future.

Pros

We love the breakout rooms feature. Breakout room allows you to set up individual rooms for a group of people to discuss and chat and not be int he main room. This helps with breakout activities and other meetings that happen simultaneously. The instructor moderates the rooms by communicating via chat and can even pop in and out of rooms. Its a game changing feature that a lot of other competitors do not have.

Cons

I don't like how you have to pay for a large group meeting. We pay an extra $20 a month on top of our annual subscription to allow one license to accommodate a large meeting of 200 people or more. i fell as if this should be included in our annual price.

Zoom webinars app for government organization

Reviewed 2 years ago

All in all, I like using Zoom, but shifted from Zoom to Google meets, since it is simpler tool for simple meetings. So, I not longer host zoom meetings or webinars unless I am asked precisely for zoom. But if I need a secure webinar for large groups of people, I use other tools, due to pricing and security reasons. Also, deeper integration with MS Outlook would be nice.

Pros

The most critical and most liked function of Zoom is that I do not need any difficult installation of the app to use it. Also, I do not need any login or account creation to host meetings. Quite simple implementation. Also, what is very good that I can create Outlook events and other users when they get the invitation, they get an Outlook notification and it enters their calendar.

Cons

The most disappointing thing is the duration of meeting restriction. I understand it, since it is a paid program. But what bugs me, is that when creating a free meeting, I can not choose duration of 45 minutes, but only 30 minutes, even when the meeting will be 45 minutes. Only 30 or 60 minutes, nothing in between. Another issue is the time zone control. For example I could not find VIlnius city in the time zone selector. It should include major cities or it should capture my time zone automatically.

Zoom- The Next Big Digital Buzzword

Reviewed 3 years ago

I really love it, especially since digital conferencing has become the new norm. Compared to hosting face to face seminars, zoom video webinar is the most cost effective.

Pros

Zoom is one of the most useful software of our time. The fact that we could stream our webinars across other platforms like YouTube and Facebook is a great feature I can't trade for any video conferencing platform.

Cons

I think the fact that Zoom video webinar was not integrated in the core zoom Pro plan but rather sold as a separate license is really too exorbitant for me.

Zoom Video Webinars - The best way to host a Webinar

Reviewed 2 years ago

My overall experience with Zoom Video Webinars has been great. What I like the most about this is that the clients can be blocked from unmuting or annotating on the screen. This helps reduce unwanted disturbance and the team can smoothly carry out the product demos without much hassle. The features like alerts on insufficient RAM availability are a great add-on.

Pros

The best thing I like about Zoom Video Webinar is the fact it can monitor my memory and CPU usage in real-time and share alerts with me in case my memory is low, and the audience is not likely to hear clearly what I am speaking. Since I schedule the team's webinars in such a way that there is no option for the audience to raise their concerns by unmuting (and only through chat), this becomes super helpful and I can close the unrequited applications on my system as soon as the alert is shown to free up the memory and CPU usage.

Cons

Zoom provides great features for conducting webinars. One of the things observed, though, is that there is no feature to block a particular person from commenting, or deleting offensive comments. During product demos, there are certain clients who share offensive comments or put us in an uncomfortable position. What adds fuel to the fire is that we cannot delete these comments and other clients start forming negative opinions about our products by reading these comments. This feature is very much required so that the Webinar host can delete the offensive comments at the right time to protect the team's and organization's reputation and image.

ZOOM a must use virtual App

Reviewed 2 years ago

Zoom is perfectly engineered to be affordable and simple to use for all types and levels of businesses, so no one is left out. Everyone has the needed features with an adequate number of hosts with its four plans: Basic, Pro, Business, and Enterprise. Is one of the simplest video conferencing solutions that a company could ever implement, as it is extremely simple to use; simply download, click it, and set it up, and you're ready to go. It works right away, and anyone can easily connect to Zoom and talk to a remote colleague or customer with an intuitive user interface, As a result, I invite you to use this powerful resource tool for all of your remote meetings sessions and share your remarkable experiences.

Pros

Zoom, in contrast to other video conferencing tools, is a cutting-edge, perfect virtual conferencing app for your business, research, and learning webinars. It is tailored to the evolution of your business and enables individuals to meet and collaborate productively while remotely when meeting in-person is not possible, making the meeting more human and essentially building bonds of staying connected. Zoom's simplicity is outstanding, as it provides effortless, simple, easy-to-use, and intuitive communications that are limitless. Zoom is built in such a way that it is easily scalable for small, medium, and large businesses.

Cons

Zoom makes extensive use of CPU resources. When video conferencing, the CPU usage can sometimes reach 100%, this can slow down the computer and affect its overall performance. Also, it's often so stressful that attendees don't know whether or not the connection will work until after the meeting has begun, and with very weak connections, the video and audio lag. Finally, despite its great value of making every meeting session short and concise, I suggest that the 40-minute interval allowed per meeting in the free version be restructured to a single 120-minute interval to ease the issue of rejoining for newbies.

Performs well, Simple to use

Reviewed 4 years ago

Very good overall. It has remained a reliable platform for delivering to large amounts of users.

Pros

Zoom is extremely simple to use, it also seems to be more reliable than other platforms on low bandwidth connections. At a time when video conferencing platforms have been busier than ever, it has remained reliable with very few dropped calls which cannot be said for some other platforms. The user interface is very simple meaning user training takes very little time.

Cons

The user support is lacking with only a web chat offered to most users. This is also quite slow to respond and it is difficult to track if you have multiple issues raised at once. It would be nice to have a more official support ticketing system.

Great product and excellent way to conduct online webinar

Reviewed 3 years ago

Zoom Video Webinars must focus on improving on their Customer support and User Interface. For a new user, the interface is too hard to understand

Pros

Experience with Zoom Video Webinars is good. Need strong internet connection to host/join webinar. The audio and video quality is better than other webinar tools. Sharing screen is a little tricky as compared to others. However, it is straightforward to set webinar, and track reports such as how may delegates attended the webinar. We can promote our webinar using email marketing.

Cons

They must develop a better way to share screen among presenters for webinars. I still find no option to create polls and surveys. Many technical issues we had faced related to connectivity and audio setup also, this tool is expensive for small business and compare to other online webinar tool.

Infrequent Webinar Host Masters Zoom After 2 Uses!

Reviewed 5 years ago

My overall experience with Zoom as an Executive Admin has been positive. Creating a low cost account was simple, educating future users takes an entire 5 minutes, and associates who are intimidated by technology have complimented the system with surprise in their voice. In other words, it's exceeded everyone's experience after using other programs like GoToMeeting.

Pros

The best features of this software are: meeting/webinar scheduling, invitations, and NO DOWNLOADS / Account Creations for viewers.

Cons

Some of the features aren't necessarily intuitive. It's easy to forget how to annotate during the middle of a webinar, but the challenge is overcome quickly.

Zoom Video Webinars Review

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have used Zoom Video Webinars to attend a lot of online lectures on PC and mobile during Covid-19. I really like its effectiveness, capabilities, screen sharing, diving its users to sub-rooms, and file sharing among others. I will not only recommend it, but also can't stop using it.

Pros

- Classes and long calls never give me any problem, making the tool amazing, excellent, and very reliable. - The simple interface of Zoom Video Webinars is what I like most in this software. With it I can plan and present professional webinars at reduced price. - It is well structured and easy to use. Any novice can use Zoom Video Webinars conveniently without confusion. - Payment and upgrading...

Cons

- Not integrating Zoom video webinar in the core Pro plan but rather sold separately makes it really exorbitant and expensive for me. - Basic users of Zoom are restricted on the maximum number of users that can be connected at a time and how long they can be connected. - Cloud storing - storing data and information fall short on the software. - The video quality needs to be improved - Overlapping between zoom and other programs is impossible. Sharing conversations from other programs is impossible.
