Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Thalian overview
What is Thalian?
Thalian is an AI powered IT stack intelligence platform that connects disparate enterprise technology systems to identify security risks, operational waste, and compliance gaps that remain invisible when tools operate in isolation. The software is designed for IT security teams, system administrators, and compliance officers in organizations managing complex technology stacks across identity management, endpoint security, and software as a service application portfolios. By establishing connections across identity providers, mobile device management systems, endpoint detection and response tools, and business applications, Thalian performs cross-platform data analysis to surface findings that require information from multiple sources. The platform delivers actionable intelligence about access risks, license inefficiencies, shadow IT proliferation, and security posture degradation.
The system uses OAuth integrations to connect to identity providers including Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, JumpCloud, and OneLogin; endpoint management systems such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, and Hexnode; security tools including CrowdStrike Falcon and SentinelOne; cloud infrastructure platforms such as Amazon Web Services IAM, Google Cloud IAM, and Azure role based access control; human resources systems including Rippling, BambooHR, and Workday; and business applications such as GitHub, Salesforce, Zoom, Box, Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence. Thalian executes more than three hundred cross-platform detection rules that analyze identity risk patterns, device compliance status, shadow IT discovery, license waste quantification, configuration drift monitoring, and remediation workflows.
An embedded AI assistant processes natural language queries about the IT environment and returns specific findings with contextual information drawn from live workspace data. Identified issues include administrators without multi-factor authentication enrollment, correlations between non-compliant devices and privileged user accounts, and discovery of OAuth applications with sensitive access scopes that bypass single sign on controls. Recoverable spend is quantified by aggregating inactive user licenses. Security metrics are tracked over time. Remediation actions may be executed directly within connected systems. Administrators can suspend accounts in identity providers, revoke OAuth tokens, and lock endpoints via management tools. Multi-step remediation plans proceed with approval workflows integrated into Slack and Microsoft Teams, and every action is recorded in an immutable audit trail.
Thalian supports integration with more than thirty seven platforms through standard OAuth authentication protocols, with most connections completing in under two minutes and without the need for professional services or custom development. API access and compatibility with the Model Context Protocol enable command-line queries via advanced AI assistants. Data retention, query allowances, and integration capacities vary across subscription tiers. Enterprise deployments include SAML enforcement, SCIM provisioning, IP allowlisting, role based access controls, extended audit log retention with security information and event management export capabilities, and dedicated account management. The platform reads metadata and access signals from connected tools without storing passwords, file contents, or message data. All information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and administrators retain the ability to disconnect any integration at any time.
