ChurchTrac has definitely helped us maintain our membership database much better, and make better decisions because of the way we can track membership.
I love the fact that ChurchTrac is built for churches by people who understand churches. The features really mirror our needs.
There's not really any features I don't like. There are some that we don't use so I don't know how well they work... for instance we still use QuickBooks for our accounting.

Churchtrac has allowed us to digitalize our accounting which has helped tremendously. It has allowed us to reach our members and the community using digital means like Church Connect and the online giving portal.
Churchtrac allows our church to combine so many things into one online software program such as giving (both online and in person), attendance, event coordination, accounting, and website through Church Connect. I can access our church data from any device by simply logging in.
I feel that the financial reports could be improved.

Added dashboard features of analytics. Front screen Name tags Check-in Functions
Dashboard Analytics are static. Numbers generated do not reflect weekly attendance, volunteers or congregation attendance. It takes merely totals and displays them. Nice feature but not what i wanted. Used the other software so much . . . having to learn all over. Not very intuitive. Time curve to learn . . . so different. Would probably not have used product if not already enrolled. Its like engineers developed it apart from users.((

It's been a bit of a learning curve for me (a middle-aged person who has been doing things the old-school way for 20+ years), but I'm loving the ease of...everything really. ChurchTrac is so much easier to use than the two previous services we've had. It is saving me a lot of time and a lot of headaches! Everything is what and where it should be - I'm not hunting for transactions in different places, I can zero out a check and tag it as voided, it has a great search feature, giving imports are easier. It has been a game changer and I love it! And it is less expensive than both of our previous providers.
Fund accounting, ease of use, responsive and kind customer service, they seem to care about helping their customers have a good experience instead of just getting money out them
Sometimes I think I would like more customizable reports (the ability to select multiple categories), but it's really not a huge deal for us.

We were using one of the other big names, and found it didn't meet our needs as well as we wanted. We set out on a journey to evaluate ChMS systems, and after webinars, demos and weeks of comparisons had settled on another solution. Putting together a presentation for the elders led us to stumble on to ChurchTrac, the difference was night and day. ChurchTrac has clearly been a labor of love for a team that has worked in churches. Intuitive, complete and powerful member engagement has been steadily increasing.
ChurchTrac does the heavy lifting to empower churches with the tools needed.-Documentation is great, and if you need more, their support is extremely fast, and super knowledgeable.-Giving is easy and cost-effective, no expensive fees.-Event planning and registrations are easy and get everyone on the same page.-ChurchConnect is member portal and app rolled in to one, enabling giving, registrations, and check-ins.-ChurchConnect isn't as customizable as we're used to, but that is actually proving to be a good thing our website was constantly out of date as it was a chore to update. Connect fixes that with powerful but simple to create cards.
-URL customization for Church Connect would be a really great addition.-Group messaging through Connect would be a good way for teams or small groups to communicate.

It's too soon to realize all the benefits from ChurchTrac. So far the accounting and People tracking has been such a great improvement over the previous software I was using. I especially like how I can archive past members without completely losing their data. This is a big deal for me, especially when I'm entering contributions.
I love the flexibility of the software and the ease of use. The YouTube videos are very helpful and the opportunity to attend live support events is an added bonus. I've only started using this software for a few weeks now, but I'm so happy with it. I can't wait to try all the features and get others in the church using it.
I'd like to be able to undo a specific Reconciliation... or have the ability to modify the categories without having to undo the reconciliation. As long as the amount doesn't change, I should be able to break the line item into categories in case I forgot to do so before the reconciliation.

We have had an awesome experience so far. We were a daughter work that was becoming autonomous when we began the trial and ChurchTrac worked with us on our trial to make sure we got to experience each part that it has to offer.The customer support is amazing and we were able to transfer our information from Breeze and Planning Center without any issues.The fact we were able to leave to other programs to have everything located in one spot is worth mentioning as well!
I really like that fact that you can handle both the church budget and accounting, while still setting up service programs and even having an app.
I wish the software was downloadable vs web

This helps me streamline what I do for the church. The functionality, ease of use, intuitiveness, cost, and the heart of the men of God that designed this program make this product indispensable.
This has features I didn't know I wanted/needed. When set up properly, I can enter just the name of a payee and everything else populates (fund, allocation, etc.)
The only thing I would say is the appearance isn't as nice as other programs I've used. But the functionality outweighs this and is a mute point.

The team at ChurchTrac has been supportive in getting us setup and going on the system. While ChurchTrac gives us the accounting and giving tools we were looking for, it also provides church management tools we have not had access to before. This opens up new possibilities for our congregation in terms of visitor tracking/communications, event registrations, etc.
We needed something that gave us accounting, donation management, and online giving. ChurchTrac offered that and more at a lower cost point. In addition, the program was easier to use than our previous software platform.
I was concerned with no direct phone support. However, tech support has been amazing. Emails have been returned within the hour, and calls can be requested if needed.

We are updating church management systems that were 15 years old.
We've never had customer service this helpful and quick in response time! One response came within 15 minutes of submitting a ticket. The software streamlines so many of our processes but is incredibly easy to use, even for people who don't think of themselves as tech savvy
As we use the software we are realizing there are a few features we would like to see. Will be submitting tickets to the customer service department to see if features can be integrated.

This program has been a time saver and I actually enjoy working in it throughout the day.
Integration was very easy. I did a data dump of my old program in ShelbyNext and sent the file to customer service at ChurchTrac and they took care of uploading it into ChurchTrac for me. The ChurchTrac customer service is amazing!! They always respond within minutes of me opening a ticket and make sure they follow through to completion. The software is very easy to use and I love that most of...
The only thing that I could see needs improvement is the reports. They are very basic and don't really look polished. My biggest problem with the reports is printing a church directory and not really being able to manipulate what information I want to include or not. Most times when I run reports I export it to CSV so I can resort and reformat it to how we like it. I wish I didn't have to do that. But they are adequate.

I think being able to email to the entire congregation, enter accounting, giving and child check in, it just makes it the best program and user friendly!
I really like that everything is in one place. You can track attendance, membership database, accounting, giving, etc. When I started using ChurchTrac it was a desk top program. Not online. But everything transferred over and was even better than before! I have worked for the church almost 6 years and I have ChurchTrac open all day as I am working! We just recently started using the Child Check In and that works fabulous! I have spent countless hours on the phone and thru email with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and she is the best tech support and I would highly recommend anyone that is new and is struggling with the program to reach to her!
I don't there is anything that I don't really like about it. You can create reports for almost anything, you just have to learn how to use the program.

Churchtrac has helped us keep track of members much easier - including birthdays, addresses, and phone numbers. All of the person's information is in one place (we used to keep it on a spreadsheet). The accounting and giving records part fits our church better than quickbooks, since we are a smaller church.
I did a lot of research before choosing a solution for our church. Churchtrac had by far the most options included for the price. And their price is at least half of most companies. The monthly subscription includes not only management tools for people, but also accounting as well (which is a huge bonus). We also were able to create printed church directories for people in our church (and can reprint them at any time through the software). We moved our financials into churchtrac, and it is proving to be a great option as well, We are a smaller church, but the software and service have been great. Highly recommend giving them a try. You won't find a better price around - and you won't sacrifice quality for what you get.
Most of the help is through tutorials, or through videos. It is hard to talk to a live person. But they respond very quickly to any questions, and will schedule a phone call if needed. My bookkeeper is taking a little time to adjust from Quickbooks to this software, as it runs a little differently.

Very pleased. And it saves us a lot of money. Our old computer based system from another company charged us an annual fee much higher than Churchtrac, and then every couple years required us to pay for an “upgraded version”, at a cost of around $350.00. Since Churchtrac is web based, there are no upgrades required. In addition to its “people tracking” system (addresses, phone, membership level, etc), it really simplified our “giving” tracking system, which is also included in the basic package. We have not used their upgraded “Plus Plan” as of yet (worship planning, scheduling, Accounting & Budgeting) so I cant speak to those features.
Initially it was the cost savings. They are very reasonable and based on your congregation size which really helps smaller churches. Plus it is web based. Our older system, from a different company, was stored on our server. When it crashed we were unable to retrieve the data. This system has no need for a server. Lastly their tech support is included and has been very responsive. Very impressed.
We gave it a slightly lower rating on “Ease of Deployment”. The nice thing about Churchtrac is also it’s most challenging. It has a lot of useful features, but they take a little time to figure how to use them all. I’m sure someone who is more tech literate and who uses the varied features more regularly would have no problem.

The price is what initially drove me to ChurchTrac as a CRM since it is tiered and comparatively inexpensive. It does much of what I need. One of the things that has kept me with it is the amazing customer support -- usually have an answer within an hour. It integrates seamlessly with MailChimp and they keep developing it more and more with user feedback. The other major benefit of the software is that giving, scheduling, and database are all in one place so once people access it, they can access everything. Online giving is easy via ChurchTrac and the costs are lower than the alternative.
It is a little bit clunky in some aspects. One of my least favorite is that when you are creating an event to schedule people to serve, like weekly Sunday services, you have to create each one individually. While you can use a template, you still have to enter every single Sunday. For a church scheduling software, it seems like it should be a no-brainer that you can create weekly meetings with the same roles each time so that all you have to do is assign people. Another critique I have is that some aspects are dated -- like automatically creating a formal greeting for a family to be "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith". Few people use that designation any more so I have to go in and change it for each family I enter.

We have loved the experience and updates with this software. They are constantly improving and creating new features.
It is very user friendly, and clearly is made by church staff/church thinkers.
I wish it had an app for the membership to use, instead of everything being done in a browser.

It has been professional and meets our needs.
ChurchTrac is straightforward and easy to use.
Reports are flat -- as in, you can't click on a transaction and go to it. This is one feature I like better about Quickbooks.

Good track of donations and documents associated with individuals.
Cloud based. Can access from anywhere.
Need easy small group sign ups. Would like to see an app we could use and our church family also could use. Have trouble sending emails from the software. I find it difficult to use mail chimp like they suggest.

I have been able to do keep up the information, set up records, print reports, communicate with members, print out yearly contribution reports, etc. I do not have a church secretary to take care of this information for me so I have to do it myself. I love having this software. To be totally frank, it offers much more than I am able to utilize. My goal is to learn even more of what it provides and enjoy additional benefits.
I am a pastor of a small church and had never been able to afford the "big church software" products. When I discovered ChurchTrac I found a great treasure of opportunities at a very affordable price. First of all, the product is simple to use. As with all programs it takes time to set up the membership information but after that it is very easy to keep the information up to date. The home screen...
My preference has always been to call for tech support when I have an issue. ChurchTrac does not offer tech support by phone initially. You must send and email with a description of the problem and wait until they respond. I have utilized this free service several times. I always get a response and the information I need.

ChurchTrac has consolidated my contacts and allows me to communicate through a central interface - love it! It has opened to us the door of online giving. It also has ended my infernal pursuit of updated addresses and phone numbers for our members so that I can print and deliver corrected directories - now it's all online!
Besides the software itself - which is a one-stop shop for church management and accounting - the MOBILE APP (Connect) has been the favorite feature for our church members. It has relieved me of the task of printing and folding paper bulletins, announcing calendar updates and collecting prayer requests written on napkins. It has made our church APPEAR way more "with it" than we are...when in fact, we actually are! (I think)
It's nitpicky, I know, but having to type YES every time I make a change to the data set. It's not a problem, but that's how much I am loving ChurchTrac - I can't think of anything else I don't like!

Overall experience with ChurchTrac is nothing but wonderful. There is always something new, to make your church management easier. Thank you for growing with us & our needs.
What I like most? The videos, training, support, that are available to user(s).
Being located in Canada, not everything is available to us, that others can take advantage of. That being said, it is still the best Church Management/ Fund Accounting program out there!

With ChurchTrac support we have been able to solve a way to track attendance, reconcile bank statements, keep up with our members and guest, have everything in one database, (having software in the cloud we're able to work at home or in the office.
Accounting and giving-contributions are integrated and make it so much easier to track gifts. Accounting has it all, payees, budgets, accounts payable, reports, and reconciling with bank statements.
Unfortunately, at this time there isn't a payroll module

I love how easy the systems is to use, and how great the customer service is for whenever I have a question or a problem. When I create a help ticket I get a response usually within minutes or at the most an hour, but never more than that! I love the fact that they offer great training opportunities to be able to learn about existing or new features and functions!
I have been using ChurchTrac since 2013 and it is a very easy system to use and understand the functionality of. I am by no means tech savvy but am able to navigate the system with no problems at all, and I like that it makes my job so much easier! ChurchTrac offers so many training opportunities with the ChurchTrac users FB group, YouTube videos and webinars.
Right now I cannot think of any cons, other than there are so many new features being released sometimes it takes a moment for me to catch up to the training that is being offered, but that is not a bad thing!

360 accounting, member management, communication & growth tracking per member/guest, giving management, fund management, streamline budgeting and financial reports, member text to give, recurring giving, I can go on and on we are very pleased with this software and the company they stand behind their product and offer amazing support even if you make mistakes they are there to help you correct them. I tell all of my ministry friends about Chruchtrac. We are relatively a small church with a limited staff but having ChurchTrac in our corner empowers us to function wiser and be more effective.
imple to use and everything we needed to accurately track expenses, giving, and payroll as well as budget and financial statements. The customer service and support is unsurpassed. Not only that but when you do reach out they treat you with respect every step of the way without making you feel inferior due to your lack of knowledge or understanding in accounting or technology. Volunteers have really enjoyed using the program which makes life easy all the way around and it is by far less expensive than a lot of the other "names" out there... you will not regret utilizing this software/program for your church or nonprofit's needs.
There is no application for mobile use; however, the site adjusts perfectly to every device I have logged in from. The text to give function works once your member goes to the member site on your website and gets it set up. It would be better if any person could text to a specific # to Text N Give but overall it is still amazing that you get all of this functionality for the cost and top notch support!
