I was so confused, and he was SO PATIENT. I love being connected to great customer service and overall great people.
Third, I get lots of complaints from customers about the transaction errors which make it hard to give.
The Fund Accounting is most helpful for the churches I help. The monthly reports are great to send to my clients so they can see where their money goes and how much they take in.
The Check In system, for us, was not working too well. Research was done and the application was tweaked to service us.
Better than most I've seen and I think it is in most part due to the ability to talk through the needs with Aplos support and get the help on what functionality meets those needs.
I am unhappy that I cannot find a Vendor to do a new A/P Entry. Instead have to scroll thru pages to find the one I'm looking for, a simple search would suffice.
The ease of use is best and the access to help in a timely matter.
The church faced many challenges during Covid, including a restriction on the number of members who were allowed to attend in person.
I really like the Reconciliation process...it is simple to understand and works perfectly. I value the support that Aplos provides.

The NXT online service is very easy to use and very flexible to our needs for reporting. The support is good, most reps are very responsive and I love Blackbaud University.
There are so many tabs and fields, and they can get very confusing. Also, there are some required fields that can be frustrating (I might not know the gender of a child with a gender neutral name).
The integration between Altru (our sub-ledger), BB Merchant Services and FE/NXT is superb in my opinion. You have the ability to track a transaction backwards and forwards.
Once blackbaud lures you in you are trapped, then they raise the prices , sometimes by three times the original amount, and your company suffers.
I like the ease of logging in. I also like the clean looking interface, and am looking forward to more options to come.
You are not able to use papersave with it just yet so the drag and drop/ upload feature is obsolete to me.
I've been using Gifts for a few weeks now at my current job and it is a great resource. The amount of information that can be stored is fantastic for research and referencing back.
It was not until we started yelling and escalating that we finally got some response because the number of open incidents was ridiculous.
Financial Edge has been a great experience; we have streamlined data processes and improved our reporting cabability more than 10 fold. We love the project and grant data management pieces as well.
This was a terrible option for a company with just 2 people in the accounting department. I'm sure it may be good for a MUCH larger organization, but a bad choice here.

There is no intuitive fill-in as you find with an application like QuickBooks. For the same reason there are fewer errors.

Unless you have a tech department willing to invest time into the api it is hard to do your own in depth analytics out of the box or connect the software to other systems.
It probably has every feature and more than you'll ever need or want. It's especially good for very large organizations that have large budgets and lots of donors to track.

I was finally explained to by an associate, (after purchasing and misrepresenting the features.) the Program only worked as “individual” members & not Family when creating a directory.
We have been very pleased with FlockBase and in July, 2015 we started using FlockBase Accounting which interfaces perfectly with FlockBase.
It does not give us the reports we once had, there is no step by step guide to tell you if you want to find something you have to look in a completely different module. Confusing beyond belief.
The more we use the program, the more we appreciate the work, thought, and application for churches in it. Thanks to rep, and his team for blessing the kingdom through their talents that bless us.

The FlockBase software is very easy to use and provides our church with a complete program that suits our needs. We currently use the Church Membership software and it is great.
We have not yet fully implemented the software, that is, we are still keeping duplicate financial records, but the experience has so far been superior to all other software.
This software is very user friendly. It has cut my processing time in half, easily.
FlockBase helps us keep track of our members and our finances.

It's a user friendly service with great customer care, wonderful service if u have a small business.
This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable from the company that is supposed to have your books.
Fields to fill and perfectly links the data from one end like ap and AR to the bank reconciliation. Great reports on transactions for the month or period if interest.
The problem is that doing your own taxes online becomes risky the more you have to account for.
We love that it helps us streamline efforts, is easy to use, and is easy to train others on. QuickBooks Online has definitely been one of the best technology pieces of our administration.
Other than tracking my expenditures, the whole system is a pain. Error messages constantly received because "there's a message from your bank" bla bla bla.
This software has a lot of great features, the best of them all is the ability to import data from.
They have the among the worst support I have ever dealt with.
Quickbooks Online has a lot of wonderful features that are super easy to use and deploy in the office. A lot of time is saved with repetitive tasks that eat up a already busy day.
Love that it is cloud-based and can login from anywhere. I love that myself and my team can all be working in the same company file at the same time from wherever we are.

I love the app and gives me accounting on the go. Helps me track invoices and profits with ease.
There are no delivery notes/packing slips. They tout a "workaround" but be warned, it's exactly 10 extra clicks so it's really not an option if you need this feature.
The ease of use and reputation are by far the greatest part of this product. In addition to this, the range of potential integrations is fantastic.
Our main complaint is that Xero stopped doing payroll in 2018, so now you have to pay an additional fee to a payroll processor such as Gusto.
Really easy to submit expenses, categorise them and check the progress of you submitted expense - super easy to do all from the app.
Changing accounting software from Xero is a horrible experience. They make it very difficult to pivot to other software.
Great that our external accountants and legal support can access online as they need. Seems to be continuously evolving and its reassuring to see ongoing development of the product.
Removing/deleting of transactions and line items are difficult, imported by error and had to delete one by one.
I very much like the ease of uploading expenses to Xero and the fact that you can save photos of your receipts rather than keep loads of paper receipts.
At times it can be frustrating that the only way to deal with customer service is via online, written support.
I think that Xero is easy to use and setup, and the UI is great for beginners to use. Overall very friendly to the eyes.

There are no delivery notes/packing slips. They tout a "workaround" but be warned, it's exactly 10 extra clicks so it's really not an option if you need this feature.

Our main complaint is that Xero stopped doing payroll in 2018, so now you have to pay an additional fee to a payroll processor such as Gusto.

We love and enjoy nearly all of the products from them. They are so great to work with and they are always open for feedback and much of the growth and change has come from using its users opinions.
Additionally, the inability to get support personnel on the phone is a pain at times. Having to run support strictly through email can be a huge barrier and waste of time.
The People Module is the best. I love the ability to update the people/family information on the fly is great.
The user experience isn't conducive to those who have no tech experience and can be very confusing.
This is a great tool of scheduling volunteers and laying our the plan details. This is super helpful if we have a wide variety of things going on and its easy to list them all out here.
The one negative I have run into is it is not as customizable as other software I have used.
In addition, the suite of products for children's check in, communication workflows, etc is great. Love the ability to have a fully integrated system.
The program is confusing on both the web portal and the application.
The variety of different apps that can help with all of our organization needs has been amazing.
Planning Center has amazing customer service has always offered wonderful products specifically tailored for ministry use.
I'm a HUGE planning center fan. Any pricing or ease-of-use issues that I had pale in comparison to what this tool can do and how it can help keep a church organized and efficient.
The interface is intuitive and easy for volunteer users to figure out, and they do a great job of continuing to innovate features and usability.
As a volunteer at my church, Planning Center is the easiest way to keep track of who is volunteering, and where volunteers are needed most. The ease of use for any age is great.
