Helps remotely collaborate and conduct activities for team building. Also helps refer back in the future.
Board becomes tricky to handle when lots of things are added.

It works, it's better than not having a digital whiteboard product if you have remote teams working together, but it's not the best digital whiteboard product out there.
I like the concept of a digital whiteboard, and the collaboration tools are on the spot.
No infinite canvas, wayfinding for rooms is awful, not enough customization for layouts and colors of things. Too restrictive sometimes on what you can create(like creating "areas" in Real Time Board).

Great for workplace and educational collaboration
Easy to generate ideas and keep your work in one place. Great for hybrid collaboration

I started using this tool with partners in a funded project and have been very comfortable working with them. In particular we used it for workshops and the dissemination part and I think is really usefull.
The main strength in my opinion is the ease of use and interaction that the tool allows. It also allows you to easily collaborate and share your ideas, not forgetting the graphic presentation.
Initially I had some "visual" difficulties in the sense that the work area is very large so it was dispersive to see everything.

I find Mural to be a simple way to visually collaborate and map ideas (and their interconnectedness) across colleagues and x-functional stakeholders. It’s not too “busy” with features, but still allows for categorization and sub-categorization of ideas and details.
Mural can be a bit difficult to navigate when you have a LOT of ideas plotted on the same “sheet”. Requires certain degrees of zooming and scrolling that can be burdensome.

A good option for collaborative digital whiteboarding, but not a game-changer for this software category.
It's a decent tool for digital whiteboarding and collaborating with colleagues.
However, it does not bring much extra to the table compared to the various alternatives available (Miro, FigJam, etc).

We've increased usage of it during this time of pandemic, and it's really helped push forward certain projects within our organization. It's been a great addition.
I love seeing the real time comments and movements from other uses collaborating simultaneously within a workspace. Paired with audio, this really is as close to real time collaboration as one can get
The mobile and tablet usage of this software is very difficult to use. For instance on mobile there is no landscape viewing, only portrait orientation.

Collaborative virtual whiteboards so that remote teams can create freeform visual artefacts to get on the same page, though also useful for documentation of sessions even in co-located teams
I started using Mural when working with a remote team that already made heavy use of it. I found it incredibly simple to start contributing, but also made note of the depth of optional functionality available. I've started using Mural for other projects even with co-located teams, as it means that all of the documentation from a brainstorming meeting is automatically digitised.
There is at times confusion around the "scale" of any virtual space - at times there have been hilarious disconnects when we are branching out and creating content in different areas of the canvas only to see one person was super zoomed in while another was zoomed out.

I work with team members around the country. We use Mural to collaborate and brainstorm ideas using "digital note cards". Everyone can participate easily as if we were all standing around the same whiteboard. Pretty cool.
The price was more than I was expecting. About half our company is remote, so getting licenses for everyone was an out-of-budget expense. It ends up costing about as much as our annual expense to lease our Macbooks. Seems pricey.

Never got to try it fully
Looks great I really liked that there were so many different ways to organize information. I think this would have worked well for all the different people on my team
My team decided not to use the software because they didn't want to have to try and remember to keep it updated :(

We just started using Mural to replace some of our in-person work sessions that would be more interactive as we are all working from home, but still trying to move the work forward.
I have to admit, I was really skeptical, but our first work session using Mural was awesome. The time flew by and it really did feel like people were engaged in a longer working session, even though they we were all virtual. The features are pretty intuitive, although we also did not try to do anything super advanced.
Even though the interface is very similar to PowerPoint and generally user-friendly, there are a few quirks, such as moving a lot of pieces without moving the mural, that are annoying. It would also be great to be able to change your name without creating an account--it is hard to keep track of things when everyone is an animal icon.

During the pandemic, we started using Mural as a way to collaborate with each other. We had in person workshops which were obviously affected. We experimented with using Mural for one our our games/exercises and do it virtually. It was fun to see how far we could push the application outside of it's core design. We use it now for whiteboarding in virtual sessions, brainstorming and mapping.
So far we haven't had much negative feedback on Mural. As we have more users come in and use the software we'll gather feedback and share.

This tool hasn’t aged well with time. There’s a lack of modernization and functionality otherwise found in competing software and at a lower cost.
Pretty easy to jump in and get collaborating, but the feature set is lagging behind many newer players to this space. Specifically Miro.
Very basic toolset. UI feels dated. The canvas is limiting when compared to other products that offer more of an infinite canvas.

Great for working with large groups on issues that can be broken down into different parts, i.e. on process maps.
Compared to some other virtual flipcharts, this one allows for big picture work, i.e. you can work across a very large workspace, with different groups working on different corners, and then zooming around.
Some of the dragging items around was fiddly, and had limited shapes to add to the flipchart.

Best brainstorming collaboration tool out there. Simple to use and very flexible. Short learning curve so great for classes or new teams.
I love the blank template where you can have multiple people white board or place post it notes. I have not found a better tool for brainstorming (even when everyone is present in the room). Mural makes it easy to place and organize ideas to capture trends.
Navigating around the screen can be a little weird, especially if a lot of people are on at the same time. You will accidentally click on someone else's view and it will take you a second or two to figure out what you did. Once you figure out the user interface you watch out for the issue but it is annoying when you are starting.

Mural has a lot of ready to use templates that makes implementation fast. You can eliminate the white board and make collaboration easier.
It takes time to get familiar with the layout and the interface could be a bit more user-friendly. I sometimes think there is too much in one place to process.

Good. It helped some collaborative thinking processes.
I really liked that it was just a few clicks-away to start using it as a team and play with the tool. It helps grasp and make sense of ideas in a collaborative manner.
The pricing per team member is quite steep. We would need to use it very very intensively to justify it financially.

Super super easy to use with nice on boarding that guides you through the setup process. Easy to share info with your team.
Sometimes it feels a little over engineered and fiddly to do things, most of the functionality is also available in apples "Preview" app for free so its hard to make the leap to a paid account.

Trialled it for delivering workshops and training at a university.
Really easy to use and very powerful features with deep layers of functionality built in. Feels intuitive and powerful.
Not much against it from what I've seen so far - the licensing just isn't suitable for the application I would need it for.

Overall I think this is an effective virtual whiteboard, enhancing teamwork and creativity, but cost and offline limitations could be improved.
Really collaborative for remote teams. Have some features that are really easy to use. And we have diverse tools for visualisation.
Limited offline access which is bad. Costly for large teams and sometimes we have spikes using the interface.

I have been using MURAL very recently. In a first glance, it is promising. It can be further improved.
Even with tens of connected users, it is fast & reliable. Rich content. User friendly. Maybe small touches to GUI may improve, sometimes finding an option may be hard, somebody should tell you what button does what - it is acceptable since I am a rookie user of Mural.
Sometimes, GIFs are not playing instantly. You need to wait for a while after adding a GIF. Still, it is not something users do everyday.

Mural has made doing virtual workshops a lot easier, and kept them engaging and fun! I like how there are so many visual options like stickers and icons to help people express ideas.
Mural makes it easy to brainstorm ideas with a big group - the post-it function is my favorite. I also like how you can "follow" the presenter on the board in case you get lost.
The lack of video integration is kind of annoying. Having to pull up Zoom or another video app at the same time seems like it shouldn't be necessary.
