The ease of use and ability to keep up with everything. I love having the ability to keep up with multiple sites without having to visit them.

Project Engineer

Their customer service is friendly and helpful to deal with. If you are in construction management I would give them a try and see if you like it.

The ease of use, flipping through drawing sets, and accessibility of information in the field. Ability to create, assign, and monitor tasks is great, especially during the punch list phase.

Positive, I highly recommend this software especially for any project documentation tracking purposes. Still room for improvement but I choose Fieldwire over its Autodesk competitor.

This program has saved us time and money on these projects. Great way to track quality control.

Overall we are very happy with fieldwire capabilities. We are able to track projects and update information live plus draw in red lines after each shift.

I also enjoy how the tasks and checklists can be added to our maps and plans. The app is also very user friendly and makes walking job sites a breeze and allows for quick turn around times.

If I have to write an RFI I can take picture and integrate them into the Blue prints to generate something on the spot. It is helpful you can markup any PDF drawings on your iPad or phone as well.

Plus the ability to have my foreman's enter and update remotely enables to office to have a live updated on our current projects.

Right now searching/filtering through images is limited.

Currently this software is limited for my use for field reports and punch lists.

Time stamp feature is placed outside of image as reference. If image is exported their is no way to distinguish veracity of date & time taken.

I enjoy using this software in the field with my foreman and superintendents. When plans are updated or i need to send information to the field, i can do so quickly!

It has been a great first year with Fieldwire. As with most new software we've tried, we were a bit skeptical if we would see the returns we were expecting on time, but so far we have been very impressed.

Fieldwire for Electrical Contractors

I will preface my review by stating that I primarily use Fieldwire via the desktop browswer interface.  My coworkers use the tablet app in the field and I coordinate with them on my desktop PC at my office. 

The browser interface leaves much to be desired.  Navigating the plan sheets can be clunky and making markups is tedious.  The markup features are rather limited (compared to software such as Bluebeam).

The ability to organize files in each project is welcomed but the automatic revisioning feature is not the greatest, though it is functional.

That being said, my coworkers rely on the software while on the jobsite.  We use the "Tasks" feature to organize and assign the work. We even have a project for our internal shop tasks such as cleaning and maintenance.

Overall, this is a vital piece of software for our business.  It is not perfect and there are many things that it cannot do. But we have yet to find a better alternative.  

Helpful but flawed

Overall I've been very satisfied with using Fieldwire as a field report and punch list tool. The use of voice dictation to create punch list items speeds up the process significantly. Customer service has been helpful when needed, and there is a library of videos online to assist with questions or training. 

Great Supplemental Tool for Architects

Information at our fingertips is essential, and Fieldwire readily enables us to access information easily and quickly on the job site, be it from a laptop, iPad, or smart phone.

Fieldwire is my go-to software for quickly looking up pages, or photos, or making plan notes, but it lacks basic quality of life features of other software.

Great Field Documentation Tool

Overall a great product for the money and a lot cheaper than the other options out there. Extremely user friendly and simple design makes it easy to navigate and understand where you are. This program WILL save you time and effort in your projects.

                                                       Before we started using Fieldwire, we didn't have anything that we were using. It was more ball, pen and paper, trying to track daily production and whatnot, mostly text messages, and that's just not the way to do things.
                                                       Some of the reasons why we chose Fieldwire, one was the price point on this, which was definitely in our budget. We liked it because we can scan in system prints or any kind of schematic showing the scope of work that we were working on. And then you can digitally track it, kind of like an as-built, so you can see where you're at and where you need to finish. And then, once the job is complete, you can still store it there or archive it there, if later on that you need to reference it for anything. That was another good tool to have.
                                                       As far as getting Fieldwire up and running, it's pretty user-friendly. I mean, it's just a matter of a couple of clicks. You log in and you go to that particular project that you need to view, and there it is. If you need to create a new project, I mean, it's very, user-friendly. Click a button here, type in what you want to call that project, and off you go. Pretty user friendly.
                                                       I would recommend. The mobility of this app is very good. In the field of construction that I'm in, when you're out in the field and you're looking at the scope of work for this particular project that you're working on, you can follow, stream right along on the app. As well as if you need to take specific photos of something that's on the project, say, a hazard or damage or something, you can store it right in the project on the app, and not on your phone or on your tablet, which is really good. If you need to reference any of those photos, you can go right to that particular project and they're there, and they'll stay there until you delete them. So, those are some of the features that I like, the reason why I would recommend someone to it.
