Luckily, the customer support team was fantastic - helped us figure out where the missing piece was and it looks like we've now got a product to do exactly as we need.

I was resigned to waiting maybe a day or two for a reply so you can image how thrilled I was to get a reply back within 30 minutes and being able to sort the issue while it was fresh.

I love that the free version has plenty of options but there's room to grow/upgrade when my business gets bigger. You can integrate payment systems or just invoice someone.

It used to be great but now its not so good expecially when your informtion is not available the customer service team are appauling they dont respond with helpful advice or a way to resolve the issues I think its being run from someones bedroom and you only get help when they are awake NOT GOOD

Best affordable accounting software

My biggest problem is that support, even though respond very quickly, their responds are often not helpful or not detailed enough.
One feature for paying with PayPal isn't working properly and instead of looking into it they suggest that I should contact PayPal, even though the problem is with Ninja. 
There is not enough information in the user's guide.

I can see my metrics for cash coming in and payments made right when I log in. The ease of adding terms to the invoices, creating products/clients, and the beautiful interface are what keep me using it instead of looking for some other alternative.

Invoice Ninja saves me a ton of administrative time as it allows me to track time spent on projects for clients, create quotes and invoices with ease, and doesn't have a plethora of "extras" that I'd otherwise be paying for (but not necessarily using) through another invoicing provider.

Overall it provides me with the best value for an entry-level invoicing solution based on the features I currently need, so I don't see myself switching from Invoice Ninja for quite some time.

When editing a recurring invoice if you click the question mark next to the frequency select you'll see some more help. Invoice item taxes have been added to the export in our latest release.

Makes Your Brand look Better!

Sean S.:                                               My name's Sean. I'm the owner of the small company called The Network Pro. I am currently a business of one and I've tested Invoice Ninja, and out of five star, I give it five stars because I love it. I started exploring other self-hosted apps, one of them called Pancake app. Unfortunately it's very dated and it was hard to use. I started testing out FreshBooks and QuickBooks Online, and while they're great for bigger businesses, they just didn't work for my business of one person right now. Luckily I found Invoice Ninja. I tested out their online platform and shortly after I got my first client and used that for invoicing my first client, I moved to the self-hosting option, which was great.
                                                       To be able to instantly invoice and quickly invoice customers and for them to be able to pay through different means. So I only have a limited means of accepting payments such as PayPal, and it made it very easy to implement that within Invoice Ninja and send my first invoice right away.
                                                       I would say on a scale of one being very easy and five being very hard, it's probably a one and a half. It does require some basic information such as your name, your company names, your client's name and information, and also how you want to set up for your payments. You have to understand what a payment gateway is. But the nice thing about Invoice Ninja is their support. Their support has been phenomenal. You send them an email, they respond with the answer and they talk to you at the level that you're at. 
                                                       Save the best for last. Test a few others first, then test Invoice Ninja, and you realize Invoice Ninja just gets it. I can only imagine how many times people that have developed Invoice Ninja have been through trying to invoice clients and they've made the process very simple and it makes your brand look better.

An Amazing Invoicing Software that Will Leave You and Your Clients in Awe

                                                       Before moving on with Invoice Ninja, we used previously Wave Accounting and their invoice software embedded into it. The reason we left is, actually, for some odd reason, they ended the contract or agreement with us, so we had to look elsewhere. We looked into QuickBooks, Zoho Invoice, and other smaller invoicing softwares. The reason we chose Invoice Ninja was price. It's really a simple, yearly price, very low for the value that you get. And also the ease of use and implementation process was quite easy and flexible.
                                                       The reason we chose Invoice Ninja is really because it's open source, so fully customizable to really anything that we want to do or create within the invoice. It also does not charge per transaction like other invoicing softwares that we saw. It's just a one-time monthly or yearly price that is associated with using the software as a service or product. Overall, it was just very easy to move over, very little to zero training that was necessary, and transitioning over from what we were prior using was really a piece of cake. Really, we didn't think too much about it, and Invoice Ninja was the winner.
                                                       Getting started with Invoice Ninja was as easy as creating the account. They provided some templates that you can choose from, uploading your logo, business information, and then choosing the template that you see fit most like your brand. And then from there, it's bringing in any sort of products or items that you may have. They do have an import process, which makes it a lot easier. We also got started with just simply sending practice invoices and seeing how both the UI and design was on both our end and also the person that's receiving the quote or invoice. Really, from there, it was really quite simple. I think it took less than maybe half a day to get started using it.
                                                       If I were to advise anybody that's considering Invoice Ninja, I would say if you're looking for something that's super easy to use, super easy to implement, and, really, something that you can get started within a few hours or a day or two, really don't think about it too much. It's a very simple to use product at a very affordable price and very customizable in terms of not only look and feel, but also how you want your invoices to be used within your business processes. It is integrated also with Zapier. It really is a nice, easy one-stop shop for small to mid-sized businesses.
