My QB consultant warned me that Intuit payroll is screwing everything up and I should switch to ADP. But, no I did not listen and now they did the same mistake this year.

It is unfortunate they do not have discounted pricing available to wholesale billing accounts for accountant users. The pricing is higher than most other payroll platforms.

On par with most other payroll service providers

Quickbooks does not thoroughly and correctly handle the taxes that they claim to support. On top of that, competitors like ADP DO handle this correctly AND go the extra mile to properly manage other garnishments and withholdings that QBO won't touch. QBO is only marginally cheaper than competitors and only if you are getting substantial discounts. 

Avoid Quickbooks Online Payroll at all costs

There is a lot of online support and documentation available. We used QuickBooks payroll for over 10 years but eventually the software glitches made us look for a new system. It works well for very small businesses with a very limited number of employees.

My overall experience with QuickBooks Payroll is good. I like the reports they offer with the payroll and even printing checks is easy. They also have a time tracking feature which could make it easier to track hours.

We were forced to migrate over from Intuit payroll.  What a bad experience.  At first there were cryptic error messages when we were editing paychecks.  Later, we had issues with our payroll taxes.  941x tax credits were entered and calculated …  starting 12/31/21.  Spent countless hours on live.  Reps give inconsistent answers and were generally clueless.  We now have to hire an accountant to clean after the mistakes of Quickbooks.  What a bad experience.

                                                       When our company decided to hire employees, it was important to find a good fit for payroll for our employees. We did a lot of research and watched a lot of videos of reviews and information on payroll processes that we could use. QuickBooks Online was a really good fit. It worked really well for everything that we needed.
                                                       The process to set up QuickBooks Online Payroll was very quick and simple. It's an efficient process that allows for us to request the required documents and information from our employees directly online. They're able to just import all the information. We're able to upload it into QuickBooks Payroll and very efficiently run payroll biweekly very quickly and very smoothly. And able to provide all of the information they need on the portal, that they're able to access all of their own information, like all their vacation pay hours, and just the information that they need for their filing taxes at the end of the year and all of the relevant documents.
                                                       Adding Payroll to our process was very, very efficient. Adding it to our existing QuickBooks Online account was just a few moments of work. It was a step-by-step process that was very clear, without any confusion. It's been an excellent journey so far.
                                                       Beginning with QuickBooks Payroll is very quick and simple. The whole process is laid out for you and all of the information you will need is provided for you. I recommend that every company can use QuickBooks Online Payroll, and is very simple to use.

And for more reviews like this, please click below. Before QuickBooks Payroll, which was over a decade ago, I worked for a small company and basically I did everything by hand. So I hand calculated payroll. I used the tax table booklets and I paid my own payroll taxes. So that was way back in the day before I began using QuickBooks Payroll.
                                                       One of the reasons that I chose QuickBooks Payroll was because it has easy access to employee records. So whether I'm verifying employment, looking up past transactions, or even just changing or updating information from an employee, it's very easy to access and very easy to do. The other thing I like about QuickBooks Payroll is it integrates seamlessly into my QuickBooks checkbook register. So everything is right there after I process payroll, it puts everything into the register and it's ready to go whether I just am looking up transactions or paying the payroll taxes. Another thing that I really like about QuickBooks Payroll is that it's simple to use. I have recently been tasked at my work with doing instruction manuals for different departments.
                                                       And because I also do HR, I just actually finished the instruction manual for any employee to be able to go on and do QuickBooks Payroll. And as I was going through the process, I realized how easy it is to write down the direction step by step on how to add a new employee, how to do the payroll, and all the other things associated with HR. And then lastly, I just really enjoy the variety of reporting, whether we're doing that for grants or budgets or taxes, it's really easy to pull up whatever report my executive director or board would like to see. And it's very easy to pull that up and it's very detailed. You can either do a quick report or a detailed summary.
                                                       When we first got QuickBooks Payroll, it was actually very easy to install. I do have to say I had a person in our tech department help me. But once you have QuickBooks up and running, it's very easy to go ahead and integrate the QuickBooks Payroll. And then once that is installed, they do the updates. It's very easy to do updates manually or automatically. And yeah, once you've got it installed, it's good to go. For anyone considering getting QuickBooks Payroll, I would highly recommend it. Once it's installed, it's so easy to do reporting, to do payroll, to look at past transactions. And I would highly recommend it. We did look at other payroll companies, but just to have another person or another company involved in this process just wasn't a good fit for us. We wanted more control and easier access to all of our payroll records whenever we wanted.
