Synap overview

Synap is a learning management system for businesses which offers the tools to create personalized, bite-sized training courses for employees. The cloud-based tool can be used to aid with onboarding new hires, delivering compliance training, revising for business exams, and more, and training can be broken down into digestible chunks. Synap uses Spaced Learning algorithms in order to assess the student’s strengths and weaknesses and create personalized learning plans.

Synap facilitates the creation of learning courses, with the ability to include a range of file formats as learning tools such as videos, articles, quizzes, PDFs, embedded content from YouTube, and more. Courses are broken down into small segments with the aim of making the content more digestible for learners and enhancing engagement. The Spaced Learning algorithm uses custom learner data to personalize each learning plan and focus on areas that need improvement. Learners can complete learning modules using a desktop, or on-the-go with the Android and iOS Synap mobile apps. Training providers are able to create an unlimited number of courses and store them within the system, and courses and question banks can also be sold online to other trainers through the Synap eCommerce module.

The Synap interface can be fully white-labelled and customized with company branding, logos, color-schemes, images, and a custom domain, and single sign on allows users to create a seamless experience with any existing systems and workflows. Synap also integrates with third party applications for video conferencing, analytics, and customer support, including Google Hangouts, Google Analytics, Intercom, Zendesk, and more. Custom analytics and reports can be generated through Segment integration, meaning businesses can create reports that are relevant to them, including metrics such as performance and engagement.
