Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
How GetApp verifies reviews
GetApp carefully verified over 2 million reviews to bring you authentic software experiences from real users. Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

I use it both personally and professionally. You can have as many free accounts as you need, and both work well on laptop, desktop, iPad, reader, phone, etc. There is the ability to use the app and go on the internet separately, both have full functionality. The address book is a great advantage since it allows you to import your contact directly from your email or phone.
There is a lot of storage for the free version, and it works seamlessly with the google host of programs - calendar, drive, etc.
It sometimes does not catch spam, even when it has been identified as spam in the spam folder (there is a separate folder for "trash" as well).

Gmail allows me to organize all of my school emails, my son's virtual school emails and personal email very easily. I don't know where I would be without it. Thank you, Gmail!
I have been using Gmail as my primary email address for almost ten years now. I have tried countless others in the past and I can honestly say that Gmail is the best. What I like the most about Gmail is that you can get notifications straight to your desktop and/or cell phone whenever you have a new email. Another feature I love is that you can create folders/labels so that you can organize all of your e-mails easily.
There is nothing that I really don't like about Gmail specifically. I hate receiving emails in my Spam folder but that is not a Gmail problem! That is just a general problem in having an email address!
