Basically as described above: We use Stripe through another party. While Stripe was going through audit verification of our business they put the transfer of our funds on hold. Our cash flow suffered waiting for them to complete their internal business processes. What business does that? They should have continued BAU finishing their processes without impacting our cash flow. Given a choice I would use another provider. I do not want to be held hostage to a providers internal processes and delays that put my payroll at risk.
It is an efficient system, good reports, visibility of donors and events provides us the necessary feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of our fundraising programs.

I'm really happy with Stripe and I highly recommend it to everyone.
It's easy for people to use and their customer service was helpful.
The only con I experienced was that Stripe asked me to put in a person's email, when they buy my book, and the emails aren't readily visible. As soon as I asked Customer Support, they were able to get back to me with that information

I love that I can set up subscriptions and that I'm able to present both a payment button or a product description on my website. Sending payment links is super helpful as well for doing business internationally.
3% processing fee is steep and so I don't really like that they charge so much for payment processing but to be fair, I appreciate the ability to take international payments easily.

Good, trustworthy, reliable, efficient, and quick to set up. The only downside is watching your overall transaction fee costs and planning your cashflow schedule to when payments will actually be paid out.
We wanted to go with a trusted digital payments provider--and have never had a client or customer mention they couldn't use Stripe. Secure, reliable for both parties in the transaction, and easy to both set up and use as a consumer.
The payout fees on transactions can really eat into the cost of goods and services; further, it's important to note that payouts to the supplier/provider can take at least several days.

My overall experience has been positive. I received prompt support when setting up my account and have had no issues.
Stripe is easy to set up and use. They provide comprehensive monthly reports and have many features that can meet organizations' needs at different growth stages.
Like any new technology platform, learning to navigate the portal and get used to the format takes time. The reports are extremely detailed, so it takes time to figure out what information to look for and what to filter out.

Extremely satisfied! It checks off all the boxes of what our company needs to collect payments and grow our revenue. If our customers are happy then we are happy and they have been overall excited since we made the switch to Stripe.
I am a new user to Stripe as my company just made a change to our CRM which is integrated with Stripe. Compared to what we were previously using, this product is incredible. It has streamlined our payment process, making receiving and sending payments more efficient. The ease of use was a huge draw! It is all very intuitive. On top of that, the customer service is incredible. We ran into a few hiccups with the transition, but Stripe was right there alongside us the entire time. I have been so pleased with the prompt responses and thorough troubleshooting.
The only drawback was a longer initial payout time but nothing concerning since it was a one-time delay as our account was new. It did not change my overall experience and perception of the product.

Our procedure for collecting payments has been significantly streamlined thanks to Stripe, an excellent payment processing provider. With its help, we are able to give our users more services and features while also smoothly accepting money from them for regular usage. Stripe's thorough documentation was crucial to a seamless integration into our current infrastructure. Additionally, we value how Stripe makes it possible for us to process credit/debit card payments similarly to a conventional point-of-sale (POS) system, making it user-friendly for clients. The thorough reports that Stripe offers have been invaluable in helping us analyze our business and make strategic decisions that would spur growth and boost income.
If you want to use invoicing and subscription software, you may use Stripe, or if you're a geek, you can easily design your own system that is PCI compliant. The majority of things have integration options, and if for some reason you run into a difficulty, you can log into the dashboard and typically solve it there. If not, they offer excellent support materials and even a chat option. You even make a small savings in comparison to comparable competitors. Their ACH costs are some of the lowest I've observed, which I particularly like. The fact that they include the annual PCI compliance charge, surveys, and monthly statement fees in the flat rate is an added benefit.
Due to Stripe's strict risk management policy, accounts may occasionally be abruptly suspended or cancelled if the company notices any suspicious or high-risk conduct. This may inconvenience customers and impede business operations. Additionally, Stripe's customer service is generally offered via email and chat, which might not be appropriate for urgent or complicated problems. For immediate help, some consumers may choose phone support. Furthermore, Stripe may not provide substantial support for offline transactions or in-person point-of-sale (POS) scenarios because it is primarily focused on supporting online payments.

I can easily track payments, view transaction details, and generate reports to stay on top of my financials and I've never encountered any issues with payment processing or delays, which is crucial for maintaining a smooth guest experience.
One concern is the platform's fee structure, as some of the transaction fees can be relatively high compared to other payment processors but based on my overall experience this does not affect me greatly to move from Stripe to another tool.

I have had an excellent experience with Stripe and have been using it to receive payments for over 4 years now. I've never had any issues in that time or had to contact customer support.
Stripe is very easy to integrate with invoicing software (I am using Zoho Invoice), and allows me to accept client payments by credit/debit card as a freelance writer. It is also trusted by clients, and since I started offering Stripe payments, I have found that I am now getting paid in half the time as when I offered bank transfers/Paypal. The fees are also a lot less than PayPal.
The only con I have had is that it took a long time (about 1.5 weeks) to receive the very first payout due to verification processes. But after that, I now receive a payout to my bank account within 2-3 days each time.

As many people have mentioned - they just refund customers saying its fraudulent when they are not - for a small business it hurts - its not safe to use - they do not check CVC numbers are correct you have to pay extra for that - very hard to set it up - only marginally cheaper than paypal. Takes 4 business days for payments to clear - ouch. Overall for the seller - this is a terrible product - to complicated to set up - hidden costs and they just flag failed CVC numbers as fraudulent because they dont use them being correct as a criteria - that feels like a scam to me

My business needed an improved, cost effective payment system, that was easy to use and seamless for customers, and Stripe provides that. What's more, the odd time I've needed to reach out to support, they've been very helpful. I can't think of the last time there was a challenge, it's been several years now, and things are running smoothly.
I like that Stripe can grow with my business as they have robust services I can add later. I find it's easy to use, and was easy to set up (there were a lot of guides when I needed them). The odd time I've had to reach out to support, the experience was stellar. Above all... The best aspects for by business were the reliability, payment experience (for customers) and that Stripe provides better value for money.
While the setup was easy, it does require some technical understanding (and there are a lot of guides available - As well their support is great). Some people might not like that Stripe avoids high risk industries.

If you have an online storefront, you'll need to take payments somehow. For us, it was as simple as filling out a quick form, providing some business information, copy and pasting a few numbers from Stripe to our WP storefront, and then we were off to the races. Years later, here we are still using Stripe's great service. Also, Stripe enables you to accept Google Pay and Apple Pay!
Stripe is safe, secure, fast, and affordable. Stripe integrates with...well...everything! I can't imagine using another payment processor at this point in time.
I don't have any specific cons besides the fact that I would like to see Stripe facilitate crypto payments in the future.

My love for Stripe has grown over the years. I probably had a Stripe account for 6 to 10 months before I even used it. I looked at it and not having a degree from MIT I was pretty lost and didn't bother trying to figure it out. I had a payment process already and it was working. After I began reading more and more bad news about this other payment processor I was using, I decided it was time to carve...
It is easy to integrate with my website's payment tools. Branding my invoices with my website logo is also super easy. I have used the word 'easy' a couple of times already and that is the main thing I like about Stripe - the Stripe features I use are easy. While trying to figure out some of the features I now use on a regular basis, I had to use the Stripe Support staff quite a bit and in doing so, I quickly realized that they are a top benefit of using Stripe.
In the Pro category, I said that my main Pro feature was that Stripe is easy but only with the features I use. I might use more of the many features Stripe offers if they were easy to use or at least figure out without the back & forth with Stripe Support. Stripe does have a YouTube channel but the one that is most helpful is StripeDevelopers - NOT just Stripe.

security is extraordinary lots of useful information in case of payment disputes shelf life projections by customers, that's great options like radar are the best professional image for my company excellent integrations, another strong point of stripe top notch customer service and support integrating stripe the customer never leaves our platform or application to make the payment, so it is perceived as something more secure, it is not confusing for the customer, and this increases the conversion rate.
it can take a while to get used to so much data they are a bit demanding when it comes to allowing integration to a site, which can be a bit annoying at first, but this is not really a con, rather it sets a standard of quality and professionalism, making one like business owner also becomes professional. Some fees can be a bit high compared to other platforms, but weighing the fact of stripe's impressive security, integration, data that's pure gold, it's immediately clear that it's worth integrating stripe into all of our Projects. It does not allow you to open accounts from some countries, although you can pay from any country as a customer.

Stripe is a vital tool for our Donor Department, as more and more of our donors choose to give with a credit card or debit card vs. gifts via check. The interface is easy to use, and I love the "Reports Overview " on the home page. I wish our donor CRM tool offered such convenient "at a glance" reports!
I love the functionality. When our CRM software lets u know that a credit card gift was unable to process, I can go into Stripe and see how many times the system has retried the gift, as well as the decline code the donor's bank provided. Then when I call the donor I have a lot of info at my disposal. As far as the gifts that WERE processed correctly, it's very easy to export them into a simple spreadsheet, which I then submit to our Executive Director.
My regret is that I haven't looked more into the functionality of the software. There are likely things that Stripe offers that we are not utilizing. A suggestion for the developers at Stripe may be to send their users helpful "Are you aware of this feature?" type emails / letters

The prime aspect that I love the most about stripe is its very easy deployment with its direct API integrations. As a start-up that processes information through different channels, having stripe has made it hassle-free and seamless to analyse, manage, & track all our inbound payments using just our smartphones. We have and are continuing to save unnecessary banking costs with stripe. The no-code payment feature is a seller to companies like us who are looking to get one-time instant payments.
As the crypto market is gaining traction, especially with these alternative currencies going mainstream, it'd be great to have stripe regulate crypto in-bound payments as well. This is very critical for companies like us who consider crypto to be balance sheet assets.

Internet payments used to be a HUGE headache, constantly worrying about setup, security, security and more security, but Stripe has really changed the game. It's made it possible for us to provide online payments for customers who would never have been able to afford the programming to do such a thing, or be able to afford the security measures necessary to properly take payments on their own. This is especially true because apart from the fees taken from each transaction, there is no recurring fee, which is a real asset to smaller businesses who don't do as much volume. On top of all that, the fact that the system is nearly seamless -- and MORE secure -- for the end user inputting their credit card information, is a huge win.
By far the best thing about Stripe is the way that it so easily integrates with nearly any shopping cart system or website payment plugin/application we've ever come across. Any need we've had to take web payments Stripe has been able to seamlessly connect to our system, including setting up some custom systems that in the past would have been way too complicated for us to do on our own.
The biggest complaint we have -- and since we use it a lot for customers, the biggest gripe they have as well, is the way deposits are done. Instead of depositing the whole amount of the transaction, then debiting the fees, Stripe takes the fees out before the deposit -- so on a $10 transaction, you only see $9.50 (or whatever the amount comes out to be) deposited in your bank account and have to manually do the accounting to match that payment and the fees, etc. Admittedly, it's a small complaint, but I think it's the only thing that keeps us from using this 100% of the time.

Stripe's capabilities for online transactioning is considerably useful to me and it has helped me with thousands of sales online. I have integrated the platform with my festival's website and used it for ticketing and merchandising services which assisted in operating the event and brand for a number of years. I'd likely recommend their services to other entrepreneurs.
One of the better means of processing transactions and payments digitally, that's widely accepted by a variety of business owners. Integrateable in many different web development platforms, Stripe makes it easy for people to order items and services online while simultaneously making it easy for sellers to provide their items and services to people via the internet.
Obviously to a certain degree their payment percentages could be lower, however it would depend on whether or not credit card transaction fees are low enough to facilitate Stripe's ability to lower any fees they might have.

Whether this is a technical issue, such as the developer support or technical issue, or the support for sales or management staff, Stripe put a huge emphasis on making their support second to none. Very happy with the Stripe platform and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.
Stripe has an excellent product, that integrates with our WooCommerce store seamlessly. The features are robust, which includes outstanding security to detect and block fraudulent transaction attempts. Since switching to Stripe and adjusting our security settings, we have not had 1 chargeback or fraudulent charge!
2.9% + 30¢ per successful card charge ads up. The pricing is well aligned with the industry, but it could always be cheaper, as volume heavy transactions add up quickly!

Awful. If I could count on one hand the number of times I have screamed at my monitor seeing a response from my account manager, support; practically anyone at this organization. We were told we would pay 1x PCR fee per transaction by pricing analysts; and when it turned out that the architecture they recommended produces over 2 PCR requests per transactions? That even failed transactions are billable?...
Excellent platform. My developers are very happy, my clients are happy.

I’ve used Stripe from the beginning and have had no issues with it.
What I like most about Stripe is the level of encryption and security associated with the product. I also like the ease in which Stripe can be implemented / integrated on websites and e-commerce platforms.
The lack of other apps that can be used with Stripe but that’s an industry wide issue, regardless of payment platform, due to privacy and security.
