Fathom overview
What is Fathom?
Fathom is a financial analysis and management reporting tool, designed to help users monitor trends, assess business performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. Integrations with QuickBooks, Xero, and MYOB, allowing users to import financial data directly from their accounting software.
Fathom’s analysis tools include a summary of all KPIs, showing whether or not they have achieved a favourable result in the current period, cash flow analysis, and Goalseek, in which users can change multiple variables to visualize their overall impact on a KPI. Users can also rank and benchmark all of their companies or clients against each other to identify which are the highest or lowest performers.
Customised reports can be generated from users’ choice of KPIs, both financial and non-financial, and be branded with company logos before sharing with clients. Users can also set alerts to notify them when KPI results fall above or below critical threshold values, chosen by the user, informing them of any significant changes to a company’s performance.

• Alerts are triggered when a KPI result exceeds a threshold, such as cash reserves dropping below a preset acceptable balance
• Then KPI explorer gives users an overview of the performance on all KPIs across different review periods, with sorting options such as variance from target and importance
• Fathom includes inbuilt financial and non-financial KPIs, and custom KPIs can be defined by users with their own formula for calculation
• Breakdown analysis allows users to compare the performance of different parts of a business, such as divisions or locations, and create reports about the performance and profitability of each area
