Finally, something other than Zoom for everything. The price point is pretty good, and offers a lot of features for 4usd/month per person, including file storage, which is really handy.

The corporate Facebook

Reviewed 2 months ago

In our particular case, we use Workplace more as a social network than as a strictly work and task environment. At Workplace we count our achievements, the good news, prizes for collaborators, recognitions, etc; which benefits the good work environment.

Pros

Although Workplace has multiple features, one of its main functions is to strengthen the business culture and the relationship between coworkers, being able to generate different groups to decide whether to share certain information in a more general environment, or with your closest colleagues. At the same time, it allows you to share work appointments, notes to your workers, work calendar and more.

Cons

Despite its remarkable similarity, it is not as easy to use or intuitive as Facebook. The price is somewhat high and makes it not a solution for everyone. Knowing that it is a tool in which all bosses can see your activity, your reports, your tasks, is a bit scary.

Best Social Media to expand business

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have joined facebook hotel motel association group in 2017 and ever since i was able to find my answers for business related within a minute. thousands of people own more than 2 hotels with different franchise and you can talk to them within a minute them through facebook. Honestly I used facebook hotel group when i bought my second hotel. I asked everything about what do i need to require for business pip if i buy this property and what will be ADR and profit margin and what is franchise fees. I had really good positive experience before i buy this propert through facebook.

Pros

2.4 billion people use Facebook in this world. What else you need to talk about your business? As a two big hotels owner, we use facebook for business purpose more than social purpose. We have more than five hotel motel association groups in facebook where you can talk to anyone in united states who owns hotel motel business. In these group you can talked about hows business in different state, you can buy some used product for hotel use like furniture or equipment with good price. You can always talk about whenever you will going to get your hotel inspect etc. What do you required to meed different hotel franchise and all.

Cons

Facebook has a negative impact on teen age. The current generation are spoiling their education while chatting on Facebook and not concentrating on studies. Sometime notification also being annoying and cause a distraction from your work but you can always turn off your notification setting which is good point.

Workplace - A tool to build strong culture and collaboration among employees

Reviewed 3 years ago

Our HR system used Workplace by Facebook for polling purposes, to send notifications, for transparency, culture building and to keep employees stay connected just like Facebook. So far, the response is good from the employee side.

Pros

Workplace by Facebook is an app similar to Facebook but meant for work, productivity and to keep employees stay connected. Its layout is like Facebook, so very convenient to use without going through any training. It allows you to form groups basis on departments, projects or organizational hierarchy. Groups can be used for sharing files, feedback or polls. Messaging feature allows you to chat in groups,...

Cons

Workplace comes in different pricing options including Essential, Advanced and Enterprise, so choose wisely depending upon the features you need. Even the highest-paid version allows you to perform group video call up to 50 people. Notification can be annoying and cause a distraction from your usual work.

One of the best internal business communication platform

Reviewed 3 years ago

My overall experience with Workplace by Facebook is amazing. I am using it daily for internal communication with office guys and now it becomes part of my daily task, it is very much similer to facebook so no need for extra training.

Pros

I like everything about Workplace by Facebook. It is just similar to facebook, sometimes I feel that I am using facebook not Workplace by Facebook because of its user interface is similar to Facebook and this the best thing that I like about this tool. Apart from this, I like the way I can interact and publish all the important announcements to all the colleges at the same time just with a single click.

Cons

There is one thing that I like least about it and I would like to highlight too that this platform is a little bit expensive compared to others and because of this the small startups may not able to afford this but I must say that It is worth to spend on it.

Wonderful platform to keep you connected with your organizations activities

Reviewed 3 years ago

We use Workplace for notifying birthdays, work anniversaries, client appreciations and new wins. For any events taking place in the company, it is very easy to arrange a poll. I feel connected to my organization and it is easy to recognize, appreciate, ask queries to a large group of people. Overall, it is a wonderful software and is worth the value.

Pros

This is a wonderful product that allows you to keep a track of all the activities of your organization. As this follows the exact same pattern as Facebook, it doesn't require any training and is very easy to use. One can create common interest groups, share videos images, post questions and polls and various other stuff. It keeps the employees engaged and create a sense of belonging within the organization.

Cons

I don't think there is anything that one would not like about this software. One thing which can sometimes be annoying can be bulk notifications but there's always an option to configure your settings.

Works just like Facebook!

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall, I had a good experience with Facebook Workplace, and I definitely see the value of using it for an organization. It makes work a little more exciting and keeps members of the company engaged and integrated. However, it is also quite distracting and steers people away from the seriousness of work as they associate this with Facebook.

Pros

I liked the fact that it is incredibly easy to use this software! As long as you have used Facebook before (which I'm sure everyone has at this point), it's not difficult and won't take long for you to get used to how Facebook Workplace works. You can have a platform where all the members of your organization are included, but also make separate groups for different projects or teams. There's also the usage of video calls, calendar events, live broadcasts, chats, and so on. The news feed also keeps you connected with your other co-workers, and the entire system just seems really fun and light, and tries to make work a little more pleasant for everybody.

Cons

I think what was negative for Facebook Workplace is the mentality that people have towards this software. I found it difficult for some people to separate Facebook from Workplace and therefore it was difficult for them to take it seriously, and instead only viewed it as more of social media platform, and still direct their work somewhere else. This takes away from the whole point of fully integrating the company and its work and people into this platform.

Workplace by facebook is a winning collaborative tool

Reviewed 3 years ago

Workplace by facebook is a phenomenal collaborative tool that I would recommend to anyone particularly interested in using it.

Pros

Workplace by Facebook is a winning collaborative tool that is both fun to use and very professional. It is a feature-rich tool which is wonderfully crafted to anticipate every need of the users. It was an easy tool to set up, invite colleagues and to use. I love that its a great tool that supports various types of media. Its an informative tool which we use to post new memos and it stays both fun and the professionality is not reduced in any way. It's a great productivity tool that adds great value to any company, firm or industry.

Cons

Only that the only limitation is that it requires a steady internet supply to function well and an good internet connection is not always available. Also, I find the many email notifications particularly annoying.

Social Media for Work

Reviewed 3 years ago

We see lots of "Twinning" and memes that serve no work purpose so I find it distracting and hard to filter down to messages of substance. I don't believe this should be used as a primary communication channel unless you control/ restrict posts of content with no work value.

Pros

Workplace works like Facebook so it is familiar to most users. It's fairly intuitive to use for those that have not previously adopted Facebook. It has a chat feature similar to Facebook Messenger.

Cons

I'm not a Facebook user, so for me, this is a platform I didn't want to use as a communication channel at work. I do like the chat feature but most of the content posted has become less about work and more about "social media" content that I have made a point to avoid.

A corporate social media platform with not so great value proposition

Reviewed 3 years ago

As long as you are using the free version, it solves the information dissemination problem and some feeds from Harvard business review, yahoo finance etc., but offers nothing more. Premium version is a bit pricey and offers very little in terms of value additions. Integrations are alright, nothing to write home about. Metrics are limited to closed and open groups, secret group statistics are nowhere to be found.

Facebook Workplace is a robust tool for easy communication

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

The greatest strength of Workplace for Facebook is that it has a familiar UI that makes it easy for anyone to use it. The pricing is really attractive - far cheaper than competing products. I like the easy file sharing. Video streaming works well and is of excellent quality. It has great integration with Salesforce, Onedrive and other tools we use. Notification works perfectly, thus ensuring I don't miss out on anything.

Cons

The mobile app experiences glitches that makes it freeze. Lack of group calling feature is another issue that needs to be addressed.

Easy to Connect and Post

Reviewed 3 years ago

This novel idea makes communication a piecemeal and company related information can be found in single location. However it will go long way to make it successful by providing every new thing the users are demanding such as streamlining of upload process.

Pros

We can update information about the company and share what is new at our workplace on Workplace. So it is as easy as any social media platform. We get useful suggestion for the company here which can help to cut down the cost. Organization chart and co-workers search is fun altogether. It fits all types of budgets and provides good collaboration.

Cons

The uploading of files is nasty procedure and they don't help us in easy tracking for our threads requiring more discussions. It needs more options but it is a novel idea.

Great Communication Tool

One of the best moves we've made! Great value for the money if you need the pro features.

Pros

Workplace replaced the forums we had been using and we found that the engagement level grew tremendously. Being Facebook like, users found the interface familiar and very easy to use. Offers mobile apps as well as a desktop version. If you're an admin, they have a lot of tools for you to add and monitor groups and users.

Keeping your multimedia platform professional.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Workplace has connected our team and we are able to share files and data realtime to all members any time.

Pros

I was introduced to Workplace by my mentor and now my manager. He's a fun boss but demands everyones input and participation. I've utilized the instant messaging, group calling and video conference option for the mobile app. Also the facebook live on workplace. You can also share files and members can leave a comment. It's like social media but with a professional feel to it. The news feed is also a great addition, just making sure that everyone is on the right page, it also gauges what the team's interest is.

Cons

Since i downloaded the app, it uninstalled itself twice. I'm not sure if it's my phone but a couple of my colleague experienced it to. It's a good thing that i didn't loose any data. And I'm not a fan of the find a colleague capability, you can always turn it off, but it's broadcasted that you did so. But it's just a small price to pay for the wide array of benefits.

A Social Media for Work

Reviewed 3 years ago

We wanted to use Workplace as a social media for our internal communications at work. It was a good option but so far, we haven't made the switch officially yet. On one hand, it's a convenient tool where you know the features well, on the other hand, it's yet another social media product that technically pulls you away from work. However, I do not give up the hopes that we'll switch one day because it's easy to post the internal events there and photos that don't go to our official Facebook page.

Pros

- its interface is well known for everyone who uses Facebook so navigating Workplace is really easy and you know what's available. - the apps (both the chat and workplace) are easy to use and convenient. Granted, we haven't switched to it as a company, but it was a good option. Perhaps a bit later in the company's history.

Cons

- the price is not something that we'd like to pay right now - we have used the trial to see whether we would need it all, but figured that it's not that necessary - the ability to delete users is only available in the Premium version and there are several other things that would be great in the free version... but that's marketing for you, so it's understandable.

Used it in The Church to Connect with Co-Workers

Workspace by Facebook is a simple to use tool with cost-effective consideration to manage your business smoothly ranging from voice calls, video calls and lots more.

Pros

With Facebook Workplace, you have access to a large storage facility to store all the companies files and all the office 365 files without limit even with a free trial. You can link it with other APIs like stream monkey or Livestream the entire church services with this platform. It makes our day to day activities easier and simpler.

Facebook - But Now for Work

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall it's great for the price, but I feel like there are improvements that need to be made. Also, it's not great for big organizations and better for smaller ones that are tight-knit and up for social media platforms.

Pros

I like that it's on a platform we all use - Facebook. We all use it, and now it's work friendly. It's familiar.

Cons

I least like that video chat doesn't work well - it's grainy and sometimes doesn't connect. It's also distracting because Facebook is also a social media platform, and we all use it to browse for personal reasons.

Facebook workplace is a great platform to keep workers informed and up to date with business.

Reviewed 4 years ago

It was cool being able to keep connected without a office or workspace for the team to share ideas but I was looking for a little bit more.

Pros

Very useful for helping with new co workers and easy to set up. This platform is great to keep topics and discussions all centralized and great to keep workers informed and its very cheap. Extremely useful if you run a remote business where you do not have much contact with employees. You can hold important discussions, post weekly updates, and directly connect with certain people. Definitely a great way to answer questions and solve problems.

Cons

Wish it had more of a CRM capability. It's just like regular facebook but aimed at businesses. Wish it would integrate with your personal facebook better. Last, I wish it was more customizable being that it sometimes can be super time consuming scrolling through groups.

Pros

Facebook workplace is a great tool for large companies with teams that interact frequently with each other. It allows you to chat privately with a group, video chat with multiple people at the same time, share event invites, share documents, and more. It also offers a free trial.

Cons

It is not as beneficial to smaller companies. It also could get expensive if there are many employees, since you pay per person.
