Pros and cons

I love how easy it is for someone to put their talents on display and how easy it is for me to find them, helped a lot to find great people to partner with.
Workplace has given me the opportunity to connect with other independent business owners with similar interests and values. It is a secure platform we feel safe sharing motivating content.
I'm very pleased and happy with this product. It's helping me to stay connected and be productive in all areas online.
Don't even use it anymore due to the massive spam and inability to turn off notifications.
I disliked the large amount of notifications that are received from the groups that I participated. This impacts directly on my productivity at work, because it spent a considerable amount of time.
Probably the biggest complaint I've heard concerning Workplace is the price as it is a bit on the expensive side for what it does.

Many options that can help you

Reviewed 4 years ago

I really like using this tool because I can strengthen my products and reach more customers.

Pros

It has a nice interface, you have many options to visualize the statistics and the results you want to achieve, It is easy to use and you have a lot of support from Facebook when you have doubts.

Cons

When you want to campaign, you can have problems by not having your market well segmented.

Space for collaborating with colleague

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

The fact that i can use the same account that i have with Facebook to accessing the workplace tools is really amazing and cutting unnecessary step to registering with this software. Adding people that has already on my friend list to the work group is really simple. Apart from the video call feature that are available here, we also use the project management feature for our simple daily project.

Cons

The easy access to the Facebook news feed keep distracting me from my works for hours. It also gives a bad perspective from other people when we are opening the sites as this software is commonly associate as a platform for social media and people may thing that we are playing around on working hours even when we are using it for work related stuff.

Organise your team all from workplace

Reviewed 4 months ago

Overall Meta Workplace is a useful tool for team work. I feel once you take the time to move you team to Workplace and learn the systems it is a powerful suite. The historical lack of support from Meta is a major concern for me moving my team onto Workplace.

Pros

WorkPlace by Meta is a powerful and intuitive software that helps teams stay connected and efficient. I found that one of the best features of the software is the easy-to-navigate user interface. It provides users with a clear and organized display of all the different tools and features. Furthermore, the collaboration features are great for enabling team members to work together on projects, with features such as shared documents, task tracking, and real-time chat. The software also offers robust security features, which is incredibly important for businesses. Overall, WorkPlace by Meta is a great software that I highly recommend.

Cons

One of the least liked aspects of WorkPlace by Meta software is its lack of customization options. While the software is designed to be relatively user-friendly, it can be quite restrictive in terms of how users can customize their workspace. Furthermore, the software can be hard to get support for.

breakthrough for employers and employees

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

i really like how it lets you get a feel for a person applying for the job. social media is so big and what better way to receive a small resume from someone along with a deeper look into who they are and what they like and have accomplished. on the opposite end of it if your applying for a job it makes it super easy to apply for multiple jobs by filling in your information using your "about me" section.

Cons

what i liked least about facebook workplace was employers do not seem to update the jobs once they are filled.

Pros

Short and simple answer? All my social media applications under Meta are linked. Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger. That means seamless and efficient data sharing across all the platforms.

Cons

Workplace did have the occasional performance issues. Unexpected crashes, lags, and weird errors (especially in the mobile version)

Workplace from Meta, another good and fun option for communicating in your organization

Reviewed a month ago

It's a new and amazing way to keep everybody in your organization communicated, connected and feel part of not just a workplace but a community, this because of the way the platform is made that looks as other social media channel.

Pros

Workplace is easy to set up profiles of the people at your organization, works as another social media platform but with the idea of making working places more as a community and the communication easier.

Cons

There are so many options that Workplace from Meta has that we, as an organization, haven't explored yet, but probably one day.

Pros

The most elevating and positive web-based entertainment stage I have at any point experienced! I love the way simple it is to explore and how everybody utilizing it is made to adhere to rules and I have seen no terrible or unseemly use on here by any means. I love it, it's an exceptionally place of refuge loaded with heaps of information and learning.

Cons

Labored for a day, presently it crashes on startup and has become unusable. Uninstalling, clearing reserve/information doesn't determine the issue. It occupies an excess of room. It's basically another Facebook, for what reason mightn't there be some sort of module for Facebook so I don't have to have two colossal applications on my phone that are basically identical????

All in one package

Reviewed 4 years ago

We do event planning and put on a lot of events through out the year. A lot of the other similar solutions were mainly geared towards product creation or project completion. We needed something that was familiar and would be easy to train employees. Since this is a Facebook product, we knew this would be easy for our group to pick up and start using. We are a non-for-profit and most of our employees are volunteers, so we needed a solution that would give us fast and immediate communication with our employees. We needed a way to post our upcoming events, and then poll our workforce to who would be available to assist. This was the perfect fit for what we were looking for.

Pros

The software not only provides messaging. but also audio and video calling. There are two separate apps for this software. One is the Workplace app, which works the same as on your computer. The second is the Workplace Chat app. This app is very helpful in communication, as you can video and call via the app, as well as text message. File sharing can also be done via the chat.

Cons

The admin controls don't allow full access. Things like removing an employee, have to be done via email to support. You can deactivate an employee, which has the same effect, but simple employee removal is a must for most organizations.

FB Workplace

Super easy & actually fun to use because I know this is something I can trust since they have been around for a long time.

Pros

I can create a separate manager account for business purposes like managing expenses and taxes. I'm able to have a bird's eye view of everything, since it's so organized and we'll put together. I appreciate that security is taken seriously as well. I enjoy being able to add other members without letting them have too much control (prevent hacking)

Cons

I would like to be able to create more admin/manager accounts. They give you a limit of two. Which you can't update or change, this is kind of a inconvenience.

Best Social Media to expand business

Reviewed 3 years ago

I have joined facebook hotel motel association group in 2017 and ever since i was able to find my answers for business related within a minute. thousands of people own more than 2 hotels with different franchise and you can talk to them within a minute them through facebook. Honestly I used facebook hotel group when i bought my second hotel. I asked everything about what do i need to require for business pip if i buy this property and what will be ADR and profit margin and what is franchise fees. I had really good positive experience before i buy this propert through facebook.

Pros

2.4 billion people use Facebook in this world. What else you need to talk about your business? As a two big hotels owner, we use facebook for business purpose more than social purpose. We have more than five hotel motel association groups in facebook where you can talk to anyone in united states who owns hotel motel business. In these group you can talked about hows business in different state, you can buy some used product for hotel use like furniture or equipment with good price. You can always talk about whenever you will going to get your hotel inspect etc. What do you required to meed different hotel franchise and all.

Cons

Facebook has a negative impact on teen age. The current generation are spoiling their education while chatting on Facebook and not concentrating on studies. Sometime notification also being annoying and cause a distraction from your work but you can always turn off your notification setting which is good point.

No training needed... everybody knows Facebook!

Reviewed 5 years ago

Facebook for the office (i.e., via Workplace) has helped our company in terms of community and culture building, communication, collaboration, keeping up to date with the happenings across different departments and teams, messaging via direct chat, group chat, audio, video calls... there's a ton of features that make this a really worth it investment for any company big or small.

Pros

Almost everyone (except the rather super senior employees) have been using Facebook social media app... They know how it works, its functionalities, and benefits for keeping in touch with the people that matter to them... now, we have exactly the same app.. for use in the office workplace. Therefore, no training needed. Everyone on-board right away. Workplace replaced many of our internal apps (repositories, messaging, collaboration portal, etc). We now use workplace for community building, direct and group/project messaging, sharing of files, photos, and updates, audio and video calls, and live streaming of office events (which also serve as a recording device for late viewing). Everything you love about social Facebook, now available for exclusive work and office use.

Cons

Data security is and will always be a concern for the modern digital man. Although we know that this is a paid service, hence the data is supposed to be private and secure because it is not meant to be used for ads, and what not... Security, especially of recent, is always a big question mark and concern.

Indispensable internal communications tool

Reviewed a year ago

It's a polished online communications platform which is easy to use. At Vodafone it's our workhorse platform for internal communications, and does a great job day to day.

Pros

Workplace enables us to have meaningful dialogue with colleagues rather than just one-way publishing of corporate news. It does everything a social network should in a tried and tested interface that most users are immediately familiar with. Broadcasting video to the platform works well, too.

Cons

Compared to the more 'modern' social networks like Instagram and TikTok content mostly needs to be created off-platform before it is uploaded. Templates / widgets and similar functionalities would further simplify using it. Sometimes key functionalities (such as video viewer statistics) are taken off air for extended periods without much of a warning (though admittedly to improve the service in the end).

Collaborating and communication is easy with this software

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Facebook Workplace is used as a platform for internal communication inside an organization. It's really simple to use, and users can easily share screenshots and videos with others in a group or individually. It offers you a place to post your ideas and celebrate your accomplishments within your company's walls. You may pin a conversation message to the top of the group or make a notification for any particular communication.

Cons

Whenever you click over the different post choices, such as polls, it would be helpful to see a little summary about what you're doing with them or how they are used. The pages might appear a little cluttered from an aesthetic standpoint. Overall, i am still satisfied with this software.

FREE VS PAID VERSION

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall efficiency and productivity-wise, comparing it with other platforms that we've used before, this one is my favorite so far.

Pros

The workplace is very easy to use and a variety of things you can do once you get the hang of it. You can make Group Chats with Group Page, or simple Group Chats without pages. It works very similar to Facebook, however, this one is more in a business approach where you can integrate apps and edit posts with the format you want. I personally prefer it compared to any other Platforms we've used before. customer service is responsive enough.

Cons

When you are using the free version a lot of things a restricted but that is just fair enough. However, in case your free trial ended and you have let go of some people prior before the trial ended, you can only remover their access or deactivate their accounts IF you are in a paid version. Another thing that I noticed is that you can only add people with the company email when you're using a free version otherwise you can use any email address when using the paid version.

Workplace from Meta is useful, but came a bit late.

Reviewed 8 months ago
Pros

The main benefit of this workplace is its ease of use. Is just like the normal Facebook-Meta interface even on mobile screens. The way you can share updates, chat, create specific groups for specific areas or topics, creates a really nice digital organization and a quick workflow. It's also really helpful when it comes to previewing files, for any area, but specially for content creators. Here, they...

Cons

Despite it being easy to use, and also integrating the main digital communication and organization elements, it costs. Now, for sure is not way too expensive, however, by this times, every company has already got choices from other brands that offer free resources (yeah, by separate, but free and not that hard to use at the end of the day) for this purposes. Even the same organizations have already created their own workspace using cloud systems or other tools.Maybe this workplace came a few years late, it would have been a blast in past years. Now, it seems just like another option between hundreds even when it comes from a big brand like Meta.

Similar to other Meta software.

Reviewed a year ago

Workplace is awesome for video chat & conferences as well as for managing your businesses social media. We realized the benefits of daily video conferencing to touch base with each other, and in social media marketing, after using Workplace from Meta. This software does have cons and it doesn't have everything you may need for business use.

Pros

The layout is similar to other Meta software, so it's a familiar interface and easy to learn. The video chat & conferencing quality is great and it's so easy to set up. Your personal Meta accounts remain separate from your Workplace account, although you can manage your businesses pages or accounts through Workplace. I loved the important comments setting, and the metrics + updates. Use on multiple devices.

Cons

The similarities to other Meta products were on my pros list, although it's also a con in some ways. The AI has flaws and it's hard to contact customer support at all, let alone someone who is actually helpful. There isn't a lot of customization and what you do change isn't saved for future use. There are a LOT of notifications that can get in the way of what you're actually aiming to keep up with or check on. I would want to see more features for business in general.

Workplace by Facebook is a powerful cloud system and it's free!

Reviewed 2 years ago

The main problem that we have with Workplace is mainly the Alumni issue. Since Alumni are now not able to login to Workplace, it requires us to migrate our Alumni group to another platform. The main benefit of Workplace is that it is a free platform that help connects employee together. Employees are not required to be trained to use Workplace as it is similar to Facebook. I don't believe that there are no products out there that is better than Workplace.

Pros

Workplace by Facebook is a free on-the-cloud system. At Agoda, we use Workplace to connect to each other for non-work-related stuff. Since Workplace is created by Facebook, every function and UX design for the system is the same thing as Facebook. Since everyone knows how to use Facebook, new joiners easily known how to use it without question. Workplace also supports integrations from other software through API such as Workday.

Cons

I really cannot complain about Workplace as it is a free on-the-cloud system. However, recently, Workplace doesn't allow the company Alumni to use the company Workplace anymore. This makes sense but it causes us to migrate from our Alumni group to another platform. Nevertheless, we will still use Workplace as our non-work-related channel. One other critical thing that I dislike about Workplace is the admin platform. The admin platform is kind of difficult to use. For example, when you want to search for an employee by email, it's kind of hard to do. I think Workplace should allow free search and be smart enough to decide what the user tries to search for.

It enables for more two-way communication than other platforms

Reviewed a year ago

As a result of improved teamwork and communication, our company's productivity increases.

Pros

As a result, our employees are more engaged. Facebook's Workplace supports diversity and employee input because it is built to focus on individuals rather than companies. It motivates our teams to collaborate. Unlike other collaborative tools, Workplace by Facebook improves over time. Combining group discussions and instant messaging does this. Separate Workplace Chat apps with video and audio calls are also available for download. The software improves communication because it allows me to communicate with everyone in the organization. It allows me to upload an unlimited amount of films and images.

Cons

Some features of the chat interface should be enhanced. Alternative instant messaging networks, such as Slack, are incompatible with it. A large amount of administrative and behind-the-scenes effort is required

Collaboration and Interacting tool for the Team

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's like a regular facebook platform but the difference is you don't need to send and accepts friend request from the users. Workplace by facebook made it very simple for users since that almost everyone is using facebook in for more than a decade now. I had not used this platform for a long time but these are my inputs for what's in it. I know there will be a lot of updates from Workplace that I or we are excited to see.

Pros

This is a very helpful tool for your business, and best for collaborating tool that I have ever seen. It has the same feature of facebook, that made it easy for user to understand. It has been the tool that is easy to understand. It can host session, meetings and can create group discussion in one platform. It's like all in one platform.

Cons

This is just new to me but what i have notice about this is that it has no dashboard to use for admin control. The design is very empty, but for me it is just simple, but maybe it would be better if new design will make it more engaging to users.

Workplace from Meta Review

Reviewed 9 months ago

I am using this software since the start of my career and am totally satisfied with it. It gives you the flexibility to easily connect and communicate with your peers. It also gives you a two-factor authentication option to protect your account from any fraudulent activity or unauthorized login.

Pros

The best tool to easily communicate with your colleagues or teammates in an office environment. It makes easy to interact with them rather then going on call and then interact to each other. Also, we have a news feed feature similar to Facebook which will give you regular updates about your colleagues and any new thing that happened

Cons

The layout of this tool may be a little difficult to understand for new people. Another point which I didn't like about this tool is that you don't have an option to block a particular individual on the tool. Also sometimes the number of notifications is high which might distract the person from their actual work.

A good application to use in a company.

Reviewed 4 years ago

I think overall, that is a good one to use in a company. It still needs a lot of work.

Pros

There are 3 points I like the most in this software: - Easy to put information and update news about your company. You can easy to read all posts like Facebook about news, videos, events from your company - Easy to discuss. When you have a topic you want to discuss, just post and everybody can join to comment. It's much better than writing an email and read all reply - Up to date with all events. I think the live stream is a good feature in the workplace. There are many events or meeting I cannot join, but I can watch on the workplace. Really great.

Cons

I think the purpose of the workplace to be used in my company is for managing projects, however, to discuss the project and upload file, sometimes I feel it is still complicated, especially with long discussion or with files which have many versions.
