We needed an online system to take hundreds of solo, duet, trio dance registrations for a video dance contest as well as to process ticket sales for the live event. We needed it to have low fees (or zero) as well as the ability to pass on fees to the customer. Eventzilla did all of this easily! From customizing the registration forms to processing refunds and exporting reports - it was a breeze!
Everything! Very user friendly interface, all of the basic features anyone would need and the price is right!
It would have been nice to be able to completely customize the ticket/reg main page a bit more.

I like that our free events do not cost us anything to register our attendess. Multiple currencies for our paid events are definitely a benefit to our global business. Customer service - always quick to reply
I would like to drag and drop the order of my sponsors instead of having to re-input them to reflect their order of importance.

If you're running free or mid-to-high cost events, Eventzilla is perfect. If you're running low-cost events, their cut may prove to be too much.
There are a LOT of event managements systems out there. But none quite as affordable as Eventzilla. If your event is free? Eventzilla is free. After that, they only charge a dollar per attendee if you have a paid event. Point is, it's ridiculously well-priced. You just can't beat it.
If your event doesn't cost very much per person, a dollar is a huge cut. Also, searching through multiple events' registrations could be way easier than it is. They make it a bit complicated to find specific registrations.

Fast, intuitive setup; great support from CHAT; lot of great features... so far, so good!
I was looking for software that would support multiple events (workshops and webinars) and allow me to manage complex registrations (several promo codes) as well as send reminders to attendees without me having to remember. This system solved that. I got up and running within a couple of hours setting up 4 events. Had a few questions but CHAT support addressed them the next day. So, it supports complex needs yet is fairly intuitive to use.
Like anything, I'd like to get the "biggest bang" for my buck. It is less expensive per ticket sold than Eventbrite but since I am just starting, have yet to see how it is "in action". At a certain point, I'd prefer to pay by subscription rather than per ticket if sales increase.

Overall I like EventZilla better than EventBrite. Not only for the cost (we are an official non-profit and giving even a small % is a lot to us), but also for the number of features that we get for that cost. Additionally, adding different types of tickets is really helpful because we can accommodate certain scenarios with our students without having to manually manage different, common ticket scenarios (e.g., reduced cost).
I used EventBrite, but switched to EventZilla and continued to use EventZIlla because I feel the following is a better value for my money: - Seemingly more features - More customization of my event - Better admin/management features of the individual events as well as the account as a whole - Analytics on events
- Setting up the payment was a little bit "round about" in understanding how to do so - Refunding/Canceling orders was confusing. The help document did not provide enough clarity. - Inability to transfer registrations between events without refunding money.
Thanks Kira for sharing your feedback. We are thrilled to have you on-board. Our product management team will review the items you had mentioned on your review and add it to your continuous improvement roadmap. Thanks again. - Customer Success Team @Eventzilla

Our organization uses the tickets for dinner events, courses, and gift cards. We are limited in what we can raffle and be supported with.
Ease to setup account, create organization tailored tickets, and be live within minutes. Important to have Eventzilla review your business as well as whoever who choose to do the credit card transactions. Some types of transactions are not supported by every card processor and can be disappointing to find-out later when you have a ticket live that it gets shut down. Core value proposition for our org is we are too small and too few transactions to get into a merchant account cost effectively....so the pay as you go model is ideal.
We found no major issues. We did review EventBrite and Picatic (now part of EventBrite).

It was fairly easy to use with a low cost.
It was simple to duplicate my events from last summer and edit them for this summer.
I had difficulties getting the coupon codes and online payments to work.

Eventzilla lets you set up various events, with all the details. A neat looking widget can be embedded on your website. Customers can register through this system in which you predetermined ticket prices, number of spots available in your event etc. There are a lot of details to add, but this ensures you don't forget anything important when setting up the event. You can add different tickets, e.g....
Lots of features you need to set up a successful event. As you give potential participants a link (or embedded the beautiful widget on your site and point them to that) and they simply sign up by themselves, gone are the days of endless emails back and forth and then ending up with inaccurate or incomplete information. Using this system has also almost completely eliminated having customers pay last minute. Overall the many settings are simple enough to set up and the amount of customization options are great. Eventzilla's charges are reasonable.
At the same time, the many ways you can customize Eventzilla also sometimes make it a bit hard to know where to look for what setting. I usually add a 'test ticket' for free to an event I create and then 'test buy' it to ensure everything is working as it should. That is a bit cumbersome, but is just a trade off for having lots of options.

Affordable event management application that was quick to get up and running
Cost - It's cheaper for events then most other solutions, Ticket Pricing - great with coupons and volume discounts, CheckIn - easy with the mobile phone applications, Check Out and Purchase - straight forward and the event pages are pretty good
We run 30 events or more a year. Our issue is that someone registers or purchases a ticket to an event but can't remember which one. There is no way to search all our event registrations at once, you will need to go into each event and search. This is very frustrating and time consuming. The event page looks great but adding formatted text can be a bit tricky. There were a few events where trying...

Very good, not perfect but for a free service and for a small-scale volunteer-based organization like mine, this does the job. Available in both desktop and mobile app version. My events have run well so far.
Easy to use, easy to customize. Mailing and collecting participants' info was a breeze using Eventzilla. The mobile app is also handy.
Sometimes during e-mail blast to my participants, the header (automatic by Eventzilla) can be misleading. Once it says "CANCELLATION" in the header although it was not cancelled, just merely sharing the event update to my participants.

I found Eventzilla after trying its main competitor - and seeing how expensive they were! Now, I am hooked.
So easy to use, cost is significantly less than the main competition, a great option for your organizing your events!
Nothing comes to mind - it has everything you need in an event platform.

I am able to imbed registration linking on to my website. And it works well with PayPal. It isn't hugely expensive.
That the software doesn't recognize ticketing levels correctly. For example if you have a max registration of 10 and you have deposit, 1sr installment and 2nd installment registration ticket levels, the system will show sold out when 7 deposits, and 3 1st installments are made even though there are 3 spaces left. This is very annoying.

I use it to put together a luncheon at a trade show for 100+ people, twice a year. It works well enough, and seems to get good uptake. I'd like to have more design options and have the app auto-save my work. Creating a mobile app option would add value and make the platform stand out from competitors like Eventbrite, Eventbee and Cvent.
free access, seems to be working to improve each time I use it. Moving in the right direction. I also like the security feature built into the UX, where I'm prompted to create a password for registrants. Allows me to get creative w/o making it too difficult.
Many event-centric elements aren't even hinted at as on offer. It'd be a good way to monetize it better, to 'ghost' features like planning checklists, contact lists, design templates, and other key event organizing points. Having a wizard/AI would be amazing, since there are many types of events.

Ease of managing registration and I love that it's free. We are a non-profit so it's so appreciated that you keep the basic free!
I was hesitant to try a registration management site I had not heard of before, but I went ahead and did it. I've been very impressed in how great it works! It's pretty easy to use and if you can't find something, you can search the Q&A section. I've been using it a little over a year now for various events for our non-profit and I love the fact they keep the costs low, and even free for the general system. We will continue to use and promote Eventzilla whenever possible!
Honestly, I can't think of any. I've noticed it has a tendency to remove my cover photo at times and rearrange my custom questions. But those are just little quirks that are easy to work around. Just double check everything before publishing the event!

We have been very satisfied with Eventzilla.
Eventzilla is an economical and viable alternative to more expensive ticketing systems. Eventzilla is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. We were sold by the daily payment option and lower costs compared to competitors.
The Help section doesn't cover some topics. We had a problem with a couple events with multiple dates and times cutting off ticket sales way too early and I have yet to figure out how to set the TOTAL number of seats/tickets available correctly when assigning ticket price levels. We had several complaints from patrons when using PayPal payments but most issues were resolved once we used the internal WePay option.

I obviously really like Eventzilla, as I switched to using them in 2014 and have stuck with them. Getting a custom URL, getting money deposited weekly (and not at the end of my event like other sites), and a slew of other features make it a really great choice.
I love the functionality vs. price. I have been using Eventzilla for several years now and they are always improving the functionality, yet the price to the consumer is always low compared to other ticketing sites.
I think some menus could be streamlined and easier to find/navigate, but it's a very small complaint and not a huge deal.

Overall, great product for the price!
Free! Nice look to the published event website. Allows for tickets to not be required, sends reminders about the event, allows for waitlisting and setting capacity on tickets.
The UX could be simplified. I use this tool quarterly and have for almost five years now and I still have to search around for areas where I need to make edits. I really wish the text entry fields had better WYSIWYG editing capabilities. I don't know HTML code and if my font sizing is off or I want to change a color, it is rather difficult.

Provides good value at low investment of time & money. We have reconsidered Event Brite from time to time, it has better features, but still select EventZilla. Writing our own from scratch is too expensive.
Lacks good field edits. Numbers should have field length, upper & lower boundary checks etc. We have an online membership database that we would like to use to validate attendees but there seems to be no way to embed code to validate member numbers against those entered in the field.

Cost is better than other services I’ve looked at. Pretty easy to use and I’m able to input all the information and forms I require for registration.
No app. Although possible through the website, it would be nice to have an app to make check in easier when out of service areas.
Thanks Ross for sharing your feedback. We do have an app for both iPhone and Android users to track registrations in real-time and check-in attendees by scanning the QR code on tickets. Eventzilla allows us to sign up volunteers for our non-profit events for free or low cost. We've looked at other 3rd party sign-ups, but Eventzilla offers the best.
Most options we need are free. It is relatively easy to use on both ends.
Some of the features go a bit too deep to set up so if you don't go step by step, link by link, you may miss setting up something properly. Can't always tell if emails are being sent and received to registrants.

The Eventzilla app took our conference to the next level, and helped us to appear and actually be very organized.
Eventzilla made the planning, execution, and follow through of the conference significantly easier. The cost was affordable. I loved how easy it was to setup the conference information, such as agenda, speakers, etc. I wish I had discovered earlier in the planning process.
Sometimes navigating the admin hub was a little confusing as I had to search around for certain features a bit. However, overall, it was very easy to use.

I used the product for a smaller group of 75 and a conference for 200. When I needed the features, that prior to the event seemed to set Eventzilla a part, to make managing the larger event easier for me, they seemed to all need trouble shooting and the customer service was hard to find and when I did talk to them it took days to resolve anything. overall it is just ok. I think I chose eventzilla because the cost was effective, but I was more frustrated than happy when I used it on a larger scale.
I could embed a widget on my site, custom registration fields, and tiered ticket sales options
the badge print feature, refund process, customer service, the code redemption process was clunky, the widget kept a side scroll bar when embedded

How about: it's less expensive than Eventbrite? But then it discourages my prospects from buying, so not even a lesser cost qualifies as something I like "most"
many times when prospects click on the link, it does not process correctly. The more motivated prospects then email or call and tell me that it is not working and send a check instead. Of course it does work, you just need to repeat click, but that's not how other packages work. I don't hear from the less motivated prospects
Hi Chris, We are sorry to hear about your experience. We reviewed your event and found a few incomplete transactions. A small percentage of transactions fail, when the credit card is invalid or when the user closes the browser window before completing the transaction. If this happens, they can use an alternative payment option or try registering again for the event. If you face a similar issue in the future, please send a note to help (at) eventzilla (dot) net and we are here to assist you. Thanks again for choosing Eventzilla and we are looking forward to assist you with registrations for your future events. Thanks Eventzilla Customer Success Team

Easy to use, easy to customize. I like the basic options with allow any user to locate easily the venue, allow to set up free conferences without added cost.
Some customization options aren't free and I feel that the tarification options are not so easy to understand when you don't know how may people will be attending. This can be a problem when you want to convince your administration that it's the right tool for whatever you're doing.
